Bonjour Pablo.
I’ve watched a lot of videos on this. Thank you so much for giving me a pathway and progression to practice. I’ve never heard anyone talk about the musicality of the tremolo as you do in exercise 6 and 7 - it makes so much sense! Thank you for talking about enjoying it, too. It reminded me of why I picked the guitar I did at the store. The sound just resonated with me more than any other I tried. Looking forward to having fun with tremolo.
Having these videos so easily available is such a privilege. On a side note, I really dig your playing, the choices of tempo and dynamic, always really tasteful and packs a punch when it needs to.
Hola Pablo!
I had the privilege to see Pablo playing Recuerdos de la Alhambra live in Italy twice, in Rome and in Umbria. Now it’s a privilege to discover how he managed to achieve those unforgettable results through his technique. Thank you ❤
First, your play guitar for me is lullaby. Second, for me is the best level -7 level. I will share your video recording now. Best wishes .Today is excellent lesson. 🕊🌸🌸🌸🎂💞🕊😊🖐
Thank you for these great exercises, Pablo! And for always making sure to remind us to be conscious about the artistic, musical aspect of playing guitar. You encourage us to try to make our guitar “sing” more similar to a human vocalist, which makes the pieces sound much more enjoyable and beautiful as compared to playing overly mechanical.😊
You are indeed the maestro and when I saw you offering to share your techniques I was very thankful for your willingness to share. Thank you. You are a tower of inspiration!
Thank you pablo for revealing your technique. It sounds beautiful.. learnt something that no one else revealed was the retraction of the finger bwforw the next one plays
Thank you so much for showing me/ us some of your amazing work. I love your beautiful music. I’m sorry I had to stop writing to you, maybe you don’t remember me anymore!😊🌹
Pable, thanks for the video, excellent exercise, they do require patience, so I will commit to do just that, although I am an intermediate player., patience! so hard tp have and MAINTAIN.
This is wonderful and I am so grateful to have come upon this. In the time from my youth that I studied tremolo technique I always Incorporated my pinky finger as well and I wonder if you could touch upon that please. Although it's unorthodox it is useful and a great dexterity building technique... this allows for so much more agility in melodic combinations with thumb technique
Hola Pablo! ….. Gracias
Thank you so much for the detailed explanation! Classical guitar has been my favorite western instrument all the time. After I went to your concert in Kaohsiung months ago, I finally made up my mind to start learning classical guitar! Is there a solution to musule memory on other instrument fighting, other than "just keep practice"? I have encountered a problem, which is my muscle memory of playing tremolo on pipa (chinese lute), is fighting with the way to play it on classical guitar. To be more specific, the direction of finger movement is I-M-A-C outward, then P inward. Also, playing pipa needs to wear artificial nails, which makes it difficult to adjust to the distance on classical guitar.
Hello! So practicing is really important for muscle memory, but it also matters the way you practice. Practice slowly and deliberately, use a metronome to increase your speed, and remember to always do your best to maintain the right hand position and technique!
A question for those who started to play guitar in their 30's or 40's. Im in my 40's now. How much time does it takes to be able to play tremolo as a beginner?

You're not allowed to use tremolo on guitar unless you can create a sufficiently tortured look on your face. I think there is some kind of a law about that. 😚😙🤭
Your interpretation of recuerdos de la alhambra is the best I've ever heard 👏 👏 I wish one day I can play like you greetings from Algeria 🇩🇿 ❤️
Listen to Segovia's version. Smoothest tremolo ever.
