Haha, how did you bugger up a spud 🤣. Glad you had a backup plan. Still love the sounds you capture on the Bush TV. We could listen to them all night. 🤠
Well I must admit I really don't miss them hordes of bush flies that are rampant down there in Vic but how about a fly net on your hat to keep them off your dial ??, anyway, thanks for the memories again and don't stop making them.Cheers
Ita a bad year for them mate, i can deal with them its worst when you're doing something, it's like they know when you can't defend 😂 one thing is flys, but mosquito's, they are the ones the turn the table 😂 Glad you enjoy it all mate 👍 And thanks for watching 👍
Hey mate, did Camp Creek track back in mid‐November, steep enough but a really nice, straightforward drive. Nowhere near as steep as Butcher Country or Caledonia tracks, could be a bit tricky if wet. We took Buggery Track then to Lake Buffalo, another great drive.
Came down camp creek track from Buckland valley to Abbeyards just last week, has some steep sections but not to bad. That track you were looking at is a different one on private property im pretty sure cos i was looking and thinking the same thing myself when i was there.
Thanks for the video mate, enjoyed it. I've always wanted to get out to the wonnangatta valley. I've only ever look down onto it from the top of the viking.
@@TheBeardedBushranger I just came back from Zeka, it’s rough but quite easy for the most part, but does have a couple of tougher sections with steps and large wombat holes.
Beautiful area, sounds like you say Ross River it’s actually Rose River. Great work, my neck of the woods . That hut that you didn’t visit was called Frank Ryan’s hut double story beautiful old hut . Wonnangatta river has got heaps of eels in it. At night if you wash the dishes without using detergent, the oils and fatty meat juices attracts them. Nearly impossible to pull them out of the water they’re that greasy and slimy eels The campsite where the murders happen of Russell Hill and Carol Clay it’s dry River Track where it joins Wonnangatta river . I’ve got pictures if you need them.
Thanks for the heads-up, I'll definitely have to check out that Frank Ryan's hut next time I'm in the area! Glad you enjoyed mate, Yeah Pm me if you can, The second day we were there I thought we were in that spot. There's two plaques and what looks like two small graves. The spot was smaller than I thought. The hut you talking about, is that on private land?
Camp Ck track in the dry isnt too bad, a few steep sections but take your time and you'll be fine. The crossing of the Buffalo River can be a challenge if the levels are up, walk it first as there are some big rocks in there. Ive done it on a trail bike many times and also dropped my bike a couple of times as well when doing so !! Follow Camp Ck up to Buffalo Range Tk then turn right along Buffalo Range to Scotchmans and it takes you down to the Buckland Valley. Great drive / ride and heaps of beaut spots along the Buckland to camp. I was there a couple of weeks ago
Best wishes for 2025 thank you so much for your time. Guess what? You’re not far from where I live? I live in.Avenel come and have camping up here. It be nice. Take care.❤
That camp in the Gatta is the same one where the old couple got 💀. ? The other camp where you found the dead deer, most weekends its occupied by a few asian fellas who spotlight deer around there. Its a shame really, such a nice camp.
Another quality video, thanks. I plan to come through that area in the next few days returning from Bright down to Gippsland. Looking at coming down the Buckland Valley and hope to end up at the Wonnangatta R where I assume you made your first crossing, then up Zeka Spur, Howitt Rd etc. How deep is that crossing (on the Wonnangatta Tk )?
Haha, how did you bugger up a spud 🤣. Glad you had a backup plan. Still love the sounds you capture on the Bush TV. We could listen to them all night. 🤠

Thanks for the info mate 👍
I'm pretty keen on getting back up that way.
I think that track I seen could be on pirate property, not sure
What do look at in a tree to establish if it can be a hazard to sleep nearby?
Thanks for the videos
Cheers
Yes mate, Gum trees have a very bad reputation of dropping limbs, even with no wind.

Welcome mate, its an awesome place down in the valley 👍

@TheBeardedBushranger yeah was pretty good late November mate 👍

Hope you enjoy it!

Yeah only found that out the next day. I've had to edit a lot of the content out due to that. The Asian fellers must love the smell mate haha
@@Bush-Tv I thought it was the same spot too, is that spot near a drop toilet?
Yeah it is mate, and what made me click was when I found the wire foot bridge
@@Bush-Tv yeah Carol didn’t like the drop toilets, so she would make Russell setup a porta loo for her.
@macdouglas1087 apparently jet star was afraid of a huntsman spider in it

It's a great run mate, crossing is 9k but can come up
Parks and their chopper culls! Leaving bodies all over the high country
Yeah could possibly be mate
Don't like anybody in the lime light
Especially certain people
