My Heart Is Yours

I located this older recording and had it mastered a couple years ago, but couldn't confirm whether it was part of my 2010 project or if one of my earlier recordings from 2003- 2005(?) Don't mind my memory;) I just recorded a recent version that is not bad, but not as happy with the tempo and general feel of it, so this one is it.
I really love this prayer song and have for well over a decade now. I'm thinking I wrote this one in 2005, but I'll have to fact check;)
I hope it will encourage you in your time with the Lord. That is really what this playlist is about. It's about our connection with Him, and there is nothing of greater importance for the hour we are living in today. The bible records Jesus conversation with Simon Peter at the last supper (the night Jesus was betrayed) "And the Lord said, Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you like wheat." Matthew 22:31
Why did he use this word picture/analogy? Isn't winnowing to separate the chaff from the wheat - to separate between what is of value and what is not. The heart has been described as being the "seat" or center of our affections, the heart is the essence of who we are (for better or worse) and Satan wants to divide our affections between the temporal, passing pleasures of this present age and the superlative excellence of the eternal quality of life God wants to share with us - ie; "Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth." Colossians 3:2 KJV

I agree - and it's so true! I'm hoping you'll share the harmony you're hearing for this one. I'm sure it would be wonderful. When I eventually do a compilation I've talked with Andy about possibly adding a cello part for this one too. Who knows what the Lord may have in store? Love you too!
