Hi Janet, I will certainly pray for you. I feel bad that I didn't see your comment until just now. I work in Medicare insurance, and in the thick of AEP (annual enrollment period) Oct 15th - Dec 7th, so working avg 11 to 12 hrs/day and most weekends. As you know, we're not likely to be free of struggles until we're with the Lord in heaven, but we have the assurance of His abiding presence in the now. "In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world." I consider it the mercy and grace of God that I've heard His voice a few times over the course of over 40 years, but those brief moments are life-changing, if not in the present, down the road. Primarily, He has spoken to me through His word as recorded in the bible "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light to my path." Remember, God created you with a unique personality with unique characteristics. He knows you better than you know yourself, and He knows how to speak in a way that you will definitely know it's Him and no other. "My sheep hear my voice and after another they will not go." I'm praying now that very soon He will speak to you in an unmistakable way and illuminate any area of darkness. Take a look at John 8:31-32 "If you abide in My word, you are my disciples indeed. And you will know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." If you are in Christ, there is no chain that can bind you, no addiction from which He will not set you free. That was when I worked for a lawn and landscaping company and had plenty of alone time with the Lord. Of course, I was constantly praying to the Lord that He would open some other door for me since we were always struggling financially. Well, in 2012 I was laid off and now I've been working in Medicare insurance for the past 11 years and I talk on the phone all day long and have little time alone with the Lord. Thanks so much! I so appreciate your comment - though you might wonder at how long it's taken me to respond. I've been admittedly very distracted by the election cycle for the presidency, that now has thankfully been decided by the voice of the majority of Americans. I've never been so engrossed in any election. 2016 came close, but not like this. Our republic, our rights and freedoms were on the very brink of destruction and would have been gone had it gone the other way. All that to say, I apologize for not being diligent to check my videos while working on recording and editing. Simple Song is one of my favorite prayer songs for sure. I just recently was in the studio (not my dining room as seen in the video, lol) and recorded 6 more songs with my friend and sound engineer, and when my AEP (Medicare) crazy season is over or my hours lessen a bit we will hopefully record another 4 songs to make an entire album. Bless you.. you're not the only one who has mentioned 12 Apostles:) That's somehow the first thing that comes to mind and I've pondered it for about 48 years now and haven't figured out any greater significance. It was an amazing time.. still can't fathom why I didn't repent and commit my life to the Lord then, but I was still blinded and didn't even understand what that meant. (Sorry so long to reply! lol)

Thanks Connie! It's taking a long time to upload the video detailing my conversion to the Lord in the Army. I spent almost two weeks (evening hours) at the beginning of August editing my recording from the beginning of July. I just haven't been happy with it and had to re-evaluate. Just too much of my pre Christian life in it so I ended up deleting the whole thing and recently recorded my testimony again. I'll be working on it again tomorrow night so hopefully will have it up by the end of the week. Appreciate any and all prayers...

Amen Rishelle, He certainly did! That singular event changed my life forever and I'm forever grateful for the Lord's kind and miraculous intervention.
