"Let's just put that in my bus..." Aaaand it's done 🤘😎 amazing song, I'd like to have that kind of workflow 😅 maybe someday I'll just need to put our bands' tracks in the "bus" and the mix is right away amazing 😜
Thrash metal hooligan here. I can relate to your story. When I was 13 I already loved Metallica, listened to some Exodus, Annihilator and of couse Megadeth and I bought an Special edition of The Gathering by Testament... Because I liked the cover and thought It was gonna sound like Metallica. It was much for me at that time and I Sort of forgot the CD. Some years later when I was 18 I had to move yo study in College and I found the CD and inmediatelly started to listen. Nowadays is one of my favourite records.
Thanks, bro! It's a profile we did with Traitor during the session before. And when we tried to recreate it (or make it even better), we couldn't match it (even though we used the same gear). So we took the 'old' profile for two of the four tracks. 🤘
Perfect, musically I am still stuck in the 80's LOL. I have been rocking Kreator- Extreme Aggression on Cassette in my truck this week. That and Onslaught- Power from hell. The old days....80's we my friends and I used to tune to E standard or maybe half step down when we played thrash. Payday I will be back to check out the course
You’re living the dream brother. Keep it up🤘 Two questions, where is the Total Thrash movie available to stream? And how is the music scene in Munich compared to the rest of Germany? Planning a move to Germany and would like to get ideas of which German cities are good.
Very nice! Although it didn't really include any mixing, just pulling up the tracks...BUT the rhythm guitars sounded amazing, I use the Soldano and Diezel VH4 plugins together to reach that effect, but it was very well played! (EMG pickups?) and the drum room has the right vibe! Kram från Sverige.
Funny. I started listening to metal with Kreator and Sodom back in 1988. After Queen and Bruce Springsteen etc. was not heavy and aggressive enough for me anymore and I really didn't like metal! I really was an anti-metal-fan in 1987. I knew metal. I knew AC/DC, Iron Maiden etc. and didn't like those high pitched screaming and guitar-düdeldü. Than I heard accept fast as a shark, older metallica (motorbreath) and that was not so disgusting. ;-) And than a class mate, not my friend, told me I should try Kreator and Sodom. And I did. And I was flashed. That was my music! And back in 1988 we - at least I - only had DT64 "Tendenz Hard bis Heavy" metal show. No album at all. I think the first songs were Kreator total death and Sodom Bombenhagel (notice: in the GDR radio!, they even played Jesus Hitler from Carnivore. While Kiss was forbitten in GDR ...). That was music. And shortly after this I was some of those who brought death metal to Thuringia ... I was at the premiere in Essen.
The Bass Track is straight DI. But we already monitored through CLA Bass during the recording to be sure the Dängle is there and constant. The run/lick is heavily edited to make it really come out clearly and tight with the guitars. The rest is relatively rough in the sense that we made sure to record a great performance where not a lot of editing was necessary.
My first vinlyl was Triumph And Agony! If you like Helloween I have a interview with Tommy Hansen on my channel about the Production and tone! You HAVE to do a powermetal episode now! :)
THRASH or be THRASHED! Who's gonna join us and mix that song?🤘
Hard to beat ENGL Amps!! 🔥🔥💀🤘
@@nickolasgough8529 At least for these kind of tones they're fantastic!

FUCK. YES. Right here! Been looking forward to a thrash song.
I'd like to for sure :-)
Nice to see that you begin to cover metal in your videos as well :D
😜😂
Damn -- those rhythm guitars are tight as hell. Cool tune!
Your drum room is so pleasant sounding, I love your tones
Thanks! That damn room was a lot of work though.

The Gathering kicks ass!
We will have James Murphy on this channel soon! Stay tuned!
Kreator and Sodom were my favorites back then.
It's fun to watch. It brings back the memories we have while recording this stuff at your studio 😉
"Traitor - Careless Whisper" I am amazed at how brilliantly it is rearranged
So much fun ! 🤘😝🤘 Thank You Kristian
The guitars sound so sick! That's the best ENGL RB Kemper Profile I've heard! 🤘🥳

Just in time! I was looking all over for thrash specifically. Thanks so much!
these guys are epic. Killer band.
Cool! Will definitely check this movie out!
Fuck yeah keep the thrash stuff going! It’s making a massive comeback and with a new flavor to it.

Looks like this one is for you then! 🤘❤️
Great recording, really brilliant
Clanky bass, just what i'd expect from Thrash sound.
You’re living the dream brother. Keep it up🤘

I think it's only available on DVD right now.
There are a lot of great German cities. I really like Hamburg (except for the weather).
GTR are toighhht!!!! Sounds really good! I'll have to mix that for sure!!
I had the same reaction hearing Extreme Aggression for the first time when I was like 13 lmao
That album is chock full of awesome riffs though
can we use these multi tracks in our portfolio?
great guitar sound , what's speaker are those?
Mesa V30s
This is awesome

The course includes a 2h walk through of the original mix! This was just a presentation
@@KohleAudioKult oh, sorry! Well that sounds nice!!
One of the best Bass tones I heard was Pro-Pain Foul Taste of Freedom.
Great record!
Had the Total Thrash BluRay since last year. Can recommend.
You had me at "thrash".
Funny.

"Bite" in french has another meaning 😅 But cool vidéo, thanks 😁
did they record guitars as quad track or double track and then copied?
also when there`ll be Malamor contest results?
Quad tracked of course!
Contest winners will be announced mid Feb
@@KohleAudioKult thanks
How long in average does it take a Thrash Metal Song 80s Style, 3 Minutes. 2 Guitars, 1 Bass, Drums and Vocals.
Hi! I want to buy this course but an error comes out. Maybe the reason is because I'm from Russia? If so, how can I buy this course?
What's the error?
You can get in touch with the support. Look up the email address of this YT channel.
I think my card doesn't convert currency. From ruble to dollar.
There is another way to pay for the course?
PayPal works too
Unfortunately PayPal left the Russian market((Thanks for your attention!
Exactly, album covers with no monsters on it are not acceptable
Word! 🥳
BOOM!!!!
Wow, the bass sounds almost like a DI track or heavy edited. Am I totally off there?
It is a DI track, and its definitely very edited in the more rhythmic parts.
You gotta ask Kai before he makes the mix rundown in the academy!
