Love you, Ronnie. Besides being a great musician, you are an incredibly gifted painter. I'm truly blown away by your talent. And to be so modest about your abilities truly speaks highly of your character.
It was amazing, all the time you got new music one better than other . I was teen at this time and i things in music creation, nothing better come after this
I saw the stones in a small bar Sept 81. Ron Wood was so cool he was genuinely happy to be there he was sharing drinks with the audience just a very likeable person. Ron Wood #1.
He was forced to interview Billy, so the illusion - that Paul McCartney is well and alive - would be kept. Ronnie knew the real James Paul McCartney. And he misses him as much as he misses Brian Jones.
Paul McCartney has come out with some really great ideas. He never ceases to amaze me. I wonder what else he has up his sleeve. He will be 80 years old on June 18th 2022 and it doesn't appear that he's slowing down at all. God bless Paul McCartney!
It is SO amazing to hear Ron Wood and Paul just chat as two "fans" And Ronnie has such a beautiful down to earth attitude . He still sounds like a little kid talking with his idol. This is LOVELY. The story of that roof gig is amazing. After all the plans about the ship, The Himalayas, The Taj Mahal. John just goes "Ohhh SOD it lets do it on the roof" everyone nodded , "hmm yeah great idea" I recommend everyone to read about this at length. Most interesting was that NO ONE knew if the roof would collapse so no recording gear was brought up and cable were snaked through the whole building into the console and piped back up for the monitors. What a way to close the history book of "The Beatles LIVE - at a roof near YOU"
I love this show!! Ron(nie) Wood is a great "radio man". He knows music. He shows respect. And he`s got a great "radio" voice. Ron Wood`s got one of the greatest radio shows!!
I love when these elder statesmen get together and talk about the scene back in the day. I'm 60 so I'm not young but I love these chats where the elders talk about the scene which would have been incredible to live through in more ways than one!
Whether you have formal training or are self taught and play by ear, trans formation occurs through feeling , not thinking, as was the case with Ron Wood playing the lead for Get Back and Billie Preston doing the same with the keys on the roof top that historical day. Those considered to be Genius in their crafts, like McCartney understand that chemistry often does not come from control, but from what you allow the atmosphere to offer. If contribution is embraced rather than micromanaged creation accumulates effortlessly like rain drops in a fountain . There is nothing like jamming with that kind of atmosphere .
Paul's control issues killed the chemistry. Paraphrasing; Derek Taylor in his book As Time Goes By: I hated Paul more than ever in 1968. John: we became technically competent musicians. George: I was told what to play chord by chord. Ringo: About the row with George. Paul was wrong not to let us work it out as a band like we used to. It wasn't fun anymore. Paul: fine, I'll just do it all myself! Remember the movie scene in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? Sundance is asked to shoot a target from a distance to assess his shooting skills. The assessor says just point and shoot. Sundance misses the target. Then he asks, "Can I move?", Sundance puts the gun in its holster and when it feels right he slings the gun and shoots the target multiple times (once in mid air). "I'm better when I move." The Beatles were at their best when allowed to move.(c)
Bob Donovan - So glad someone else remembers that bit. When Farley asks Paul about whether or not he truly believes in the lesson of the lyrics in The End, Paul appears to give it serious contemplation and says something like, “You know I do! ‘The love you take is equal to the love you make!’ Yes! I think that sums it up quite well'” and Farley is so fucken blown away, sitting next to the legendary Paul McCartney who’s just confirmed his interpretation of a Beatles’ lyric is exactly right! To be able to portray an overjoyed fan, overwhelmed and bursting with pride for getting it right ..God, Farley had that character DOWN!
I was at the gig they are on about, 5 rows from the front. Macca was on Bass / Lead Vocals, Ronnie was on Lead Guitar, Paul Weller was on Rhythm Guitar and Roger Daltrey was on Backing Vocals. What a line up; what a night!!!
That would've been very interesting. I've only seen Jeff Beck once, in Sydney in 1976. He was playing with Jan Hammer (ex Mahavishnu Orchestra) and it was very good.
Nice, insightful chat. They remind me of senior men, reminiscing together, like you can see all over the world. The difference is they look back (a lot) more fondly on the work they've done than most people their age.
***** That may be so about him better on guitar in THE FACES than in has-been STONES. I wouldn't know, cause I don't really like either. (No offence.) I much prefer THE SMALL FACES to THE FACES, and I much prefer Rod Stewart's work with Jeff Beck than anything he did (that I've heard, and I've heard a few on the radio over the years) with THE FACES. Stopped buying STONES albums after Exile On Main St. (the last of theirs that I do like, and I like it a lot), although they have done the odd good song since: (Melody, Start Me Up, one or two others that I can't recall). I do admire their longevity though - Mick & Keith really lived up to the band's name.
I was brought up in the sixties and seventies, there was still bad things going on everywhere but listening to music from them and other great people took you away from the bad things that was going on.
2 of my favorite artists chatting you can see the affection , i have great admiration for you both. Our ukulele band is very much influenced by you. Thanks for your continued work.
The Beatles ...... Oh My God. Just listened to Revolver again after so many years, there as to be a force of the universe that put them four people from Liverpool together.
Ron Wood show. What a great radio show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never liked him as a member of the >Rolling Stiones. But MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a radio guy!! His knowledge! Superb!!! Greatest show.
@2.00: I can't believe Ronnie mentioned my absolute favourite Stones song in the universe: "Crazy Mama!" It was the UK b-side to "Fool To Cry," but man, it should have been the lead single! Nice to hear how Woody and Billy collaborated on it. Five stars!
I love these guys. More stories we haven’t heard, please.! There’s gotta be a million of ‘em. Stories about hanging out with the members of The Who? And how about the many adventures you must have had at the Wick?
Yeah, somebody should upload this with Get Back playing so we can hear it too, but just quiet enough so we can still hear them talking. It would make the silences a little less confusing to people! haha
Just joined the channel and thought I should say ....... "my favorite song is "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" and the guitar solo at the end is my favorite part ......... I just assumed it was Kieth until I saw the video and watched you playing it you truy are a renaissance man"
***** that has absolutely nothing to do with it... hes been on other interviews and he sounds fine... its probably because of the feedback volume in the headphones.. he doesnt actually realise hes talking that loud.. i do the same thing
django chubbinz You cannot say that with such conviction, he may have suffered hearing loss over the years as most do but him more so because of noise exposure, I totally agree about the headphone and speaking too loud, I do it all the time too :)
Paul was Ronnie's best man, at his recent (ish) wedding. Probably Paul's closest friend, along with Klaus Voorman, Ringo and Rod Stewart (Paul and Ronnie met through Rod)
Ronnie is the rocknroll diplomat bar none. What a true soul. It is amazing how much the Brit cats know about the American Soul artists, maybeveven more than their fellow bandmates.
I did not know Billy Preston played on that solo in Crazy Mama, that's a great line, favorite part of the song, didn't even know there was a piano there, ah, studio wizardry, to some extent, very creative, got to go back and listen closely to see if I get the piano, wouldn't have known unless they told me ha
The second attempt to play this together was presumably better. I saw the first attempt when Ronnie joined Macca at the O2. The sound man turned Ronnie's guitar down to 0 within the first minute as far as I could tell. Kindest thing really.
I heard Ringo in an interview say that Billy Preston was the only musician he ever knew who never hit a wrong note.
Love you, Ronnie. Besides being a great musician, you are an incredibly gifted painter. I'm truly blown away by your talent. And to be so modest about your abilities truly speaks highly of your character.
min 3:00 "Sun was always shining in the Sixties..." Love it! Born 25 years too late but I have HUUUUGE respect for the Flower Power generation.
It was amazing, all the time you got new music one better than other . I was teen at this time and i things in music creation, nothing better come after this
ron the friend we all want
I saw the stones in a small bar Sept 81. Ron Wood was so cool he was genuinely happy to be there he was sharing drinks with the audience just a very likeable person. Ron Wood #1.
Exactly...both of them open and natural down to earth..
A BEAUTIFUL PERSON !! 💖💖
He was forced to interview Billy, so the illusion - that Paul McCartney is well and alive - would be kept.

I love this show!!
Ron(nie) Wood is a great "radio man". He knows music. He shows respect. And he`s got a great "radio" voice.
Ron Wood`s got one of the greatest radio shows!!
Paul's keeping beat with his right foot. Go Paul!!
an annoying thing indeed; my foot is rarely still. Annoyed my ex wives and I rarely even noticed.
he's simultaneously writing melodies to his dialogue.
Weird for a lefty.
He's supposed to be left-handed. Faul confirmed!
@@donnaone1nine That's because us southpaws have been taught so many things by right-handed people. So that's why we're prone to be ambidextrous.
I love when these elder statesmen get together and talk about the scene back in the day. I'm 60 so I'm not young but I love these chats where the elders talk about the scene which would have been incredible to live through in more ways than one!
@Ronnie Wood You're more than welcome. Love everything you've done. Keep rocking Ronnie.

I could listen to these two guys for hours!
How very exciting that Ron is doing these interviews. Thank you!
2:17 .... LOL ... Rittle Litchard?
AW!! Leave Paul alone! He's my fathers age! :D
Gospel world!
Bruddy Irriots :-)
Oh yeah? Well, let's see _you_ say it ten times quickly! 🤣 🤣 🤣
10 years ago, both still raging against the dying of the light. Legends.
Nice to see that even old rock legends can't help raising their voices when they have music in their headphones!
Use Chris Farley's voice instead of Ronnie Wood:
Hey Paul.... remember that time you played on the roof? That was cool.
Yeah, that Chris Farley sketch with Paul should've gone on much longer .... like an HOUR
Rooftop in London 1969.
lmaooo
Bob Donovan - So glad someone else remembers that bit. Remember this one time, you were in the Beatles? Yeah, that was awesome.
Paul's ability to rock HARD is something I love. Get back, I saw her standing there, paperback writer, helter skelter, all fantastic.
I was at the gig they are on about, 5 rows from the front. Macca was on Bass / Lead Vocals, Ronnie was on Lead Guitar, Paul Weller was on Rhythm Guitar and Roger Daltrey was on Backing Vocals. What a line up; what a night!!!
bunch of nobodies then....
That would've been very interesting.
I've only seen Jeff Beck once, in Sydney in 1976. He was playing with Jan Hammer (ex Mahavishnu Orchestra) and it was very good.
What? Tells me more i'm a Beatle Fan but a very Young.
Roger Goins How dare you!!!....that's my Mother In Law
Amazing ! Cant get my eyes out of Ronnie. He is such a funny guy with his light UK humor.
Who the F knew Ronnie Wood is literally the greatest and coolest interviewer of all time. Damn.
At first I was like well this awkward and cringy but then I realized they were listening to the song while talking
I was wondering why I couldn’t hear anything.
I cringed till the end.
So the weathers pretty nice init? Yep!
John Garrett you’ve got serious problems.
We need that sunshine again
Thank you gentlemen. Thanks in so many ways.
God I love this show and Ronnie! He's the greatest! Ronnie, you are loved, man!
@Ronnie Wood Thanks for the message, Ronnie !! All the best !!
Nice, insightful chat. They remind me of senior men, reminiscing together, like you can see all over the world. The difference is they look back (a lot) more fondly on the work they've done than most people their age.
"Get Back" and "Crazy Mama"... two of my favs... Right on
I can listen to Ronnie for hours. Paul the same.
Very cool.
My favourite Ronnie Wood material was him as bassist in the Jeff Beck Group (1967-68, with Rod Stewart on vocals).
***** That may be so about him better on guitar in THE FACES than in has-been STONES. I wouldn't know, cause I don't really like either. (No offence.)
I much prefer THE SMALL FACES to THE FACES, and I much prefer Rod Stewart's work with Jeff Beck than anything he did (that I've heard, and I've heard a few on the radio over the years) with THE FACES.

Loved his work with Beck on bass. Faces work was STELLAR.!
Roger Goins If faded back means he's been showcasing his talent every single live show with the Stones since 1975.
I love Ronnie he is so animated and happy, and not up his own arse! He reminds me of a little bird ;))
i love listening to ron's show.. never miss it
I could listen to these two all day .... great stuff hey !!
love this show!!!! thank you for this!!!! xoxox
People do appreciate this interviews Ronnie. Thanks
I was brought up in the sixties and seventies, there was still bad things going on everywhere but listening to music from them and other great people took you away from the bad things that was going on.
@Ronnie Wood Thank you so much for your reply. I wish you good health and happiness for now and the future in these scary times for everybody ❤️.
this is really the first time ive seen ronnie wood.he seems a really nice chap
It's amazing watching the memories swamp their minds , the people and places . 👍🌹
I rember Ronnie on the Howard Stern show in the late 90's and he was
talking about how he didn't like Paul. Glad he changed his mind .
Cool. Thx for sharing ❤
Thank you !!
Excellent stuff! THIS is rock and roll!
This is a classic fly on the wall moment, I am glad I could be the fly, so to speak.
2 of my favorite artists chatting you can see the affection , i have great admiration for you both. Our ukulele band is very much influenced by you. Thanks for your continued work.
Ronnie Wood in awe of a Beatle, as it should be.Beatles forever
Fucking amazing how even if someone may have sucked on something he makes them feel good about them self. Ever classy dude!
@Ronnie Wood:
Bless you, Ron. Take care, mate! Thanks for dropping a line.
II like the pauses. It gives both people time to reflect and think about what they want to say next.
a couple of old stoners who lived it trying to remember what the rest of the world has etched in their memories and can never forget
spoke to ronnie a couple of weeks ago up in holland park rd london great guy
Two of my favorite British Rockers together 🙂 ❤️❤️
I'm excited is anyone else???
Ronnie is such a sunshine
Los amo, Ronnie & Paul
I still remember Ron saying Rod Stewart was 100 times more demanding than Mick.
Classic I'm amazed
Great recollections.
I love these shows.
The Beatles ...... Oh My God. Just listened to Revolver again after so many years, there as to be a force of the universe that put them four people from Liverpool together.
I never would have thought that these 2 men knew each other that's crazy And awesome big fan of both of them
Ron Wood show. What a great radio show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never liked him as a member of the >Rolling Stiones.
But MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a radio guy!! His knowledge! Superb!!! Greatest show.
+Kai W.K Whats not to like about Ronnie with the Stones? He is a perfect fit.
I love these guys.
Fantastic!!!
Thanks!
good times for sure. cheers!
@2.00: I can't believe Ronnie mentioned my absolute favourite Stones song in the universe: "Crazy Mama!" It was the UK b-side to "Fool To Cry," but man, it should have been the lead single! Nice to hear how Woody and Billy collaborated on it. Five stars!
Great that were all still around ✌️
lovely excellent stuff
There are very few things on youtube better than those videos with Ron and Paul.
I love Ronnie Wood's accent hahaha XD "you stole all the bread, didn't you!?"
Love this!!!
It would make the silences a little less confusing to people! haha
Two living legends!
ron wood is too cool and looks like a pirate
i agree
Pirates look like Rob Wood, he's that old...
Keith looks a pirate too. Put them together and they’re the pirates of romance
love how Paul's foot starts tapping the beat once they start playing the song
paul never loses the beat with his right leg and arm always to the beat unconsciously
Vey cool, hearing the responce's from the headphones. Next...Ron Wood playing bass on Truth, and Macca playing everything on some of his favourites
Just joined the channel and thought I should say ....... "my favorite song is "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" and the guitar solo at the end is my favorite part ......... I just assumed it was Kieth until I saw the video and watched you playing it you truy are a renaissance man"
@Ronnie Wood Thank you Ronnie you just made my day. May the blessings never end!!!!!
Gotta love Ronnie Wood.
Funny - McCartney's got the headphones on and he's shouting like an old man who can't hear :)
bammbamm12 That's exactly what I was thinking.
***** that has absolutely nothing to do with it... hes been on other interviews and he sounds fine... its probably because of the feedback volume in the headphones.. he doesnt actually realise hes talking that loud.. i do the same thing
django chubbinz You cannot say that with such conviction, he may have suffered hearing loss over the years as most do but him more so because of noise exposure, I totally agree about the headphone and speaking too loud, I do it all the time too :)
bammbamm12 they are listening to 'get back' in their headphones while they're talking, dude.
Gigsand Busking i dont doubt that but ive seen him in later videos/ interviews and eh sperfectly fine...
Ronnie's the only Stone I could picture myself hanging out with & feeling at ease. A regular guy?
They are listening to music while they're talking but without it it makes this pretty painful and awkward to watch
I was wondering what was going on.....the music will start any minute now I thought.
At first I thought the conversation was dragging but then I realized they were listening to music.
OHHHHH! That's why they come off like a couple rambling old men.
Rich Yan Don't worry Rich, you'll get there soon enough. It'll be a lot sooner than you think. ;-)
Glenn Wheatcroft They're really close friends 👍 Paul was best man at Ronnie's wedding, in fact
Paul was Ronnie's best man, at his recent (ish) wedding. Probably Paul's closest friend, along with Klaus Voorman, Ringo and Rod Stewart (Paul and Ronnie met through Rod)
I love how they reminisce dry wood kit invite every got from the sixties read menace scene and and sit in awe
Ronnie is the rocknroll diplomat bar none. What a true soul. It is amazing how much the Brit cats know about the American Soul artists, maybeveven more than their fellow bandmates.
Great interview shame it's only in short clips, can we not see the whole thing in full length?
When did the Ronnie Wood radio show end?
O2 & Royal Albert Hall. Wonderful.
Wow' I get goosebumps looking at this video with these two living legends.
Two old cunts blabbering a load of old shite.
+Lucas O'heyze - Fuck off, you moron.
+Chico Gonzalez i agree with you.
ONE LIVING LEGEND
If I start a musical career Ill call myself Rittle Lichard
***** golden
:pp
Stolling Rones
I'll be Pelvis Resly, specially if I get a hip replacement!😁
Fabulous. Friends. Get back together Ronnie Paul
Saw an org painting by Ron wood in sf in 1984 for 1200. Wish I'd bought it... can't imagine what it's worth now!
This show rocks!
there are always songs in paul's head. look at his foot! good steady beat
Me too, it brought a different feel that i really liked :)
When can i get the whole interview? Is this part of a documentary or film??
2:19 Riddle Lichard???
What part of Get Back was supposed to the end?!!!
Paul said Rittle Lichard. lol Love Paul.
Everytime I see this I think of Mike Meyers doing the Ronnie Wood show "Today is my special guest har har ahwa har har"
