Alex, you are such a great mentor. In real sense you have seas and oceans of knowledge that everyone want to dive in order to achieve. Outstanding and brilliant copywriter + speaker + motivator and yeah mentor
Ok so I’m new to your channel and been a silent subscriber for almost over a week now and I really admire every content u make. And of course its me shooting my shot to comment coz i dont wanna be NOT acknowledged by you 🤣 (i want u to mentor me obvi🙄) and it did hit me what u said so here i am making an impression haha! PS: thank u thank u for informative and helpful tips you’re giving us!!
I stumbled recently on your channel on my quest to become a copywriter and I really don't know where to start from because what you offer for FREE is beyond imagination and price less. Thank you so much.
Wow! I love your sincerity and your experience on this. It made it a lot easier coming from a mentor herself🥰. I'm definitely taking your advice on this ma. God bless you so much, ma🙏🏽🙏🏽❤💯
I have been binging your channel throughout the week. Thank you for all the information and tips! I literally just learned about copy this week and am so interested in a career change now.
I truly appreciate the wisdom in this video. I had not thought much about a "mentor", I have just been busy seeking knowledge as it pertains to my goal, and finding the people who can guide me to obtaining that knowledge. On that path, I discovered you (thanks to someone else along the same path) and it has certainly propelled me to new insights. My list of people to follow and books to read grows daily. I take in as much as possible in the time I can. I look forward to the day where I can look back and say "I can attribute my success in part to...". Thank You.
You’re truly a wealth of knowledge Alex! I’ve been binging your videos since November and there is still so much content and tips and gifts! #gratitude for you 😋
This video made me realize that the value I bring to the table is less than what I want to take, so thank you for bringing this to my perspective 😁 now I know which part of me that can get better
We definetely need these kind of true advices, even if it hurts lol I truly thank you because your videos and lives had helped me throughout quarentine to get back on track with my copywriting learning! I appreciate a lot. Sucess to you!
I made some of those mistakes on a comment a few days ago; wish I had seen this sooner. Thank you very much for this video lesson, from now on I’ll do my best on offering value to others first.
Thank you for this motivational vid! I have so far shied away from considering mentorship, since I couldn’t imagine what I can bring to the table as a newbie... but yes, I have previous experience. Thanks for your encouragement!
Hello Alex! During the last two or so weeks, I guess you have been my mentor. I began earlier this week to update my social according to your tutorials. Today, unfortunately, I lost my job (working as German Language Teacher) and even though I'm not necessarily into copywriting as a career (or maybe, ... why not?), you've been giving me a lot of inspiration and I'm very grateful for that. I hope you're safe and healthy, thanks again and I wish you a wonderful week!
I’m so glad this video came out. After many fails in my career, I understand this video 1000% now. I made a lot of mistakes and I can’t stress this enough. I thought life was going south but if anything, it made me go get my answers and figure things out on my own.
Hola for now! Te comento que me habría gustado mucho ver este vídeo antes en la vida, me siento agradecida igual haberlo visto ahora, y de escuchar lo que tenías que decir al respecto. Gracias Alex.
Hi Alex, I have been following your videos from a couple of weeks now. Really appreciate your efforts in coming up with valuable content. Thank you very much. Warm Regards, Vinay
Thanks for creating this! I've been listening to podcasts on entrepreneurship and it seems like entrepreneurs invest the most money into mentorship to scale their businesses and improve their mindset. I'm going to look for local events/virtual conventions in my niche (travel copywriting). I watched your other video on how to meet clients, and this video just reinforces the need to network and get my name out there.
Thank you so much for all the incredible value. You give so much information with no fluff and I appreciate the pages of notes I've been able to take. You've encouraged me to step into this business and once I set aside the money, I look forward to joining your course and really get going!
Just like how Gary Halbert taught his son (Bond Halbert) to depend on themselves. There's no one to blame, if you can't write well, but yourself. Dust your own shoulder and do your homework. Success will knock on your door, literally! Thank you for the eye-opening video, Alex! No regret for subscribing to you at all.
Thank you for the tough love, Alex! I have been thinking about a mentor for a while now and while I wouldn't just come right out and ask, I was wondering how I could provide value for them especially when, like you said, most mentors are already busy with a million other things they aren't getting paid to do. Love your videos!
Loved this episode! The amount of work, dedication, playfulness and (tough) love that goes into the creation of your videos is remarkable and inspiring!! Thank you so much Alex! YOU ROCK!!
Thank you so much, Alex this really helps me. I've been toying with the idea of a mentor for a while. I wrote copy for a client for several months but in March, like everything else, the work dried up and my client disappeared before settling accounts. Getting screwed really opened my eyes. And with eyes wide open I found your videos. You have taught me that I went about most things the wrong way. I've now read a number of books you have suggested, they have helped a lot. Influence by Robert B. Cialdini is packed with great insight. SO thanks for all your generous help, suggestions and advice. Would you consider making a video regarding contracts and payment and that whole awkward part of this business, please? If you have put one out already, can you direct me to it and I apologise if I missed it.
this really is an important and untold part of freelancing business please consider making a content regarding payments and how to deal with clients that don't pay
Hey Pina! So sorry to hear that happened. That sucks!! Yes I can talk more about that. I also have this video: ruclips.net/video/WAf6Jt6P_J8/видео.html
Thank you Alex for this video, I literally this week decided I need to get a mentor and was unsure where to start, so this helps a lot. P.S. Love the T-Shirt
Thanks so much for this videos....they're awesome, love the energy, spirit and the enthusiasm you use during your speech.....your content is the BEST love all the way from Africa 🇳🇬🇳🇬
During your video, you were talking about offering your skills and expertise. You suggested things like design, video editing, social media knowledge, or customer service. Is a detailed understanding of how a particular niche works as valuable, and if so, do you have a video on how to market this kind of knowledge? Thanks for your video and time as always!
OMG!!! That is why you didn't respond to my messages on Twitter😂. Thank you so much for making this video, I have literally been doing this mistake for the last couple of years. Thank you, again!! Resourceful, Not Helpless...
Hey Alex. You definitely are memorable and valuable! Your videos are so helpful. The content is always top-notch and a good mix of theory and examples and your delivery is so fun and engaging that makes me want to binge-watch them as if they were a tv series. Please keep doing them. P.S. I definitely have been considering you a mentor ;)
Hi Alex, thank you so much for creating this content. It is invaluable to me! I personally appreciate all the time and effort you put into making this content so helpful.
Hi Mrs. Alex, I'm from Indonesia. I really love the way you talk and tell about copywriting. It was so interested. I'd like to join into your copy posse class. But I'm afraid about my grammar because of my english skills is not good enough. Is there any advice for me to learn about this?
Thank you for the useful video. I have one question, Alex. How can I find a mentor online? One thing that I'm doing right now is giving free advice on copy to the people whose work I believe in, and who bring great value to their niches. So, I'm bringing value first. What other ways would you suggest to bring value? How can I help them see that the time with me won't be an expense but an investment?
Dear Alex, Thanks for your wonderful video. I have already watched most of your video on copy writing as I have a intention to be a copy writer. I have good experience in marketing, customer service and direct selling. I would be very glad if I could be any help to you. Could you please advise me what will be the best way to be a highly paid copy writer. Thanks a lot/ Ajoy/ dhaka Bangladesh
Hi Alex your videos are very inspiring. Question. As a newbie are there any books that give exercises in writing copy that you can practice to assist you.
Spot on... I'm currently building a small community offering ads and copywriting help on FB, but most of them ask random questions that are too generic for me to answer. I felt it's rude to ignore their message, what is your thought on such cases? i.e: "Hi Alex, my ad won't run, how do I fix it?" xD By the way, really appreciate your content =)
I am only comfortable writing content related to digital marketing niche or something related like SEO. But if a client gives me content to write about a dentist or its services then i just can't gather words to write a good content. Is it fine to be a writer who only writes for a single niche? or should i start writing on other niche as well.
Google......Please Please Please!!!!!!!!!! Ha Ha Ha for sure that's insanely ridiculous! But yeah your stuff was amazingly powerful enough to give a hard kick to such brains out there.
Thanks again, Alex, for another really helpful video and good advice! If you want to be served by others you need to be willing to serve them first. I see this concept in various places throughout history and throughout the world, whether you look at martial arts students in ancient China serving their heroes in order to become their master and teach them, or even in the bible where Jesus as the master washed the feet of his desciples to show the importance of serving others first. I really like your content and it lways gives me good input!
I'm still very confused about who really my mentor. If I follow someone on youtube and watch every of their how-to video, are they considered my invisible or long-distance mentor?
Definitely! If you gain value from them they can be considered you mentor. However it's very helpful if you can find someone to mentor you on a more personal note... with calls and feedback!

Thanks Alex! I'm so glad I watched your video before sending emails to local copywriters.
I absolutely agree with your thoughts..... It's always the value which anyone brings to the table.
unlimited value offered in this channel..many thinks and appreciations for the efforts
I'll definitely second that. I'm doing a course online and it's all 'speak to your customer' type stuff. Alex's videos provide REAL value!
Alex, you are such a great mentor. In real sense you have seas and oceans of knowledge that everyone want to dive in order to achieve. Outstanding and brilliant copywriter + speaker + motivator and yeah mentor

Alex, I have a question? How it works for Someone in another Country?
The same rules apply.
Is it harder to start without a mentor? Or at least...can you start without a mentor?
What I mean is
If you have a bit of experience (sufficient experience and knowledge to start on your own), because you read a lot of book or you watched some videos...(for example amazing content like this), and then try to write copy for free maybe on Linkedin or everywhere else...
And you always gain more and more experience...even so do you need a mentor?
Or is possible to start your copywriting career?
Of course you can start without a mentor :)
what song do you use in your intros
I watch this video 1 days after i did the exact number one not to do....'
