    You can get an overseas citizen of India card after 2 years of marriage to an Indian for lifetime visa free entry employment and live there with no restrictions
    almost as good as a passport but no dual citizenship

    • @tstcikhthys
      @tstcikhthys 2 года назад

      It's not that great, frankly (and that's even before considering that India is not attractive of a country to foreigners to live/work in). Also, they decided to alienate all OCIs yet again recently with the Citizenship Amendment Act where if you're in news broadcasting or other fields, you automatically are under the microscope and have to kow-tow to the government, on top of being able to be deported "for any reason" or something to that effect. It's absolute nonsense.

    • @Privateuser9999
      @Privateuser9999 2 года назад

      @@tstcikhthys that’s true. Use cases are to work are to gain 2-3 years of global experience or to visit and travel frequently or to enjoy low cost long term retirement and cheap medical care. Comparing Indian wages to western wages is not justified but the comparison should be wit quality of life. many western cities have violent crime, homelessness, lack of medical care etc which is increasing.
      India is not going to compare to Singapore or Western Europe for some decades but certain professionals will be very highly compensated from western companies to work in India abd this is where the oci comes handy
      The new changes definitely were done due to various issues in the courts. Oci is not a replacement passport but removes hassles to visit India in times like covid
      It’s designed for Indian origin people and their families.

The size and job opportunities in the EU are similar to the US, but with less freedom/rights, and family law is similar to the US, i.e., marriage is an insecure contract and divorce is punitive toward husbands and fathers. AFAIK, it's like that all over the western world. Women have legal protections, while men just have to trust their wives not to throw them under the bus.

      He's touched on the subject there of the SRRV visa when it was being offered. He was saying citizenship is hard to get there or Asia in general. I personally like the Philippines and Davao in particular but Asia can be restrictive in what foreigners can own outright or rights there. We are limited to certain visas and ownership of a condo. Even then it's considered a "lease". Even in this pandemic the Philippines and much of Asia has been very restrictive with people with condos, visas and expats with families entering. This may affect the Philippines and Asia in general. They may have to offer foreigners more going forward because there may be people who have gone to other countries. I know Latin America didn't shut down too much in many countries to take advantage of peoples wanting to travel.

    Citizenship by marriage is not that much easier as we thinks, there are legal and social aspects we need to encounter if it is real, moving to another country for permanent settlement is always a challenge specially of they dont accept you culturaly. Many Afghans live in Pakistan right away marrying Pakistanis. They have Pakistani Passports as well. Vice versa! Bottom 100 weakest passport countries must make visa free arrangements for each other to reduce travelling gaps instead. Andrew, Serbia is a nice place! In your neighbor Bosnia, many Arab wealthy buy lands, build hotels and marry with Bosnians have kids. You will soon find new GCC in the making in Europe.

      @@infiad1275 Marrying "for love" is a historically recent obsession. It does not seem to have been the rule in the past. Napoleon married Josephine for love and she constantly cheated on him when he was away. She was also sterile, so he divorced her to marry Marie Louise of Austria so he could produce an heir, and it turned into a love match, so you never know.

      Would a prophet lie? JESUS claimed he was the SON of GOD then proved that was true by fulfilling hundreds of prophecies, performing countless miracles and dying on the Cross to pay for sins and resurrecting HIMSELF three days latter.
      JESUS said HE is the only way to GOD. I encourage all muslims to read the Mew Testament and learn what JESUS actually said and did.
