I’m looking in to buying the auto switch you say you need a yellow plug in cable where do you purchase them from as everyone I have looked at it doesn’t come with the pack ?

Does this switch also turn on your rear lights because I see a lot of new cars driving around with their front lights on but no rear lights on. They're called auto headlights because all they switch on is the headlights for situations like when you enter a tunnel and it suddenly goes dark so it helps you see ahead but they don't switch your rear lights on. Some drivers forget this at night and run around with no rear lights on. You need to flick the switch

VW overslept 1 century and then they woke up with this ancient switch design. probably they asked supplier to make tons of it and that's why they still use it in 2018 cars.

Pulling the fucking knob wasn't an obvious impulse, because 99.999% of all other cars don't have a pulling outward motion to use on any of their electronics or controls. wierd why Hanz at the factory came up with this insight? Just having a switch would have been fine enough to control the fog lights
WHen was the last time anyone pulled on a knob,, switch or button in any other car to turn something else on/off? -old school volume knobs on stereos not included - lIt's like pulling on the AC control knob to see if that heats the seats? doesn't make sense why a car company would do that -to pull on a control... BUT, in contrast to the opposite on my 09 CC model which has the seat heater buttons located in the the center of the knobs for the Ac Fan speed (for driver) and the Airway selection knob (for the passenger).

Yes it will. Just turn it to off when you leave the car.
