- The only thing worse than being called aloof underachievers is being replaced by coddled crybabies. Two maligned generations face off to prove which one is superior: the slackers of Generation X or the digital natives of the Millennial crowd. This installment features debaters Rosebud Baker (Two Less Lonely Girls), Ronny Chieng (The Daily Show, Crazy Rich Asians), Jessica Delfino (Funny Songs Festival), Christian Finnegan (The Fun Part), Dylan Marron (Conversations with People Who Hate Me), and Yedoye Travis (Dark Tank).
You never know what to expect at this bi-monthly, wacky debate series that brings together two teams of comedians, writers, and performers to argue a chosen topic, such as which pet is superior cats or dogs and is it better to be comfortable or fashionable? Debaters will argue these lingering questions, drawing from historical fact and personal opinion in equal measure, and with plenty of silliness and audience participation. Forget about school reform and health care, these issues, heatedly argued by some of the funniest, smartest, intensely wacky creative thinkers around, are the topics that keep us awake at night....in a good way. Winner decided by the audience. Hosted by Matthew Love.

I kid, I kid, just using stereotypes. I'm actually hoping you guys save the animals and the planet. My gen is too tiny and cynical and we have no faith in humanity and as you get older (every generation) you care less about anything but (money) your family (money) and yourself (money). Everybody thinks it won't happen to them, but it does for most. I really hope you guys can turn it around, but I can't help but think it'll be more of the same. Humanity (on the whole) is too selfish an unwilling to sacrifice comfort or money or stop fuckin breeding to stop our self-destructive ways. Not that I really care, because I know it's a fun roast, and all, but he should have kept going...Gen Xers also founded Google, Amazon, Ebay, Wikipedia, RUclips, Twitter, Paypal, LinkedIn, Tesla, Space X, Pandora, Uber, 1/2 of Spotify, etc. Also, if he thinks Subway sandwiches are bad, he should have seen what most Gen Xers were raised on. @@katieblake3023 Um, Gen X was called slackers by previous generations, not themselves. The biggest Gen X attributes are DIY ethics, and not giving a shit about what others think of them. That sounds like every person on that list of entrepreneurs.
@@POPNDOUGH Clearly Gen X cares about what others think of them, always bitching about being the overlooked gen (always randomly popping out "hi, yeah it's me, I'm still here" fashion), they are also more passive agressive about it which I don't respect, they'll deny while their actions show otherwise. I can empathize their childhood neglect (Gen Y arguably got worse parenting combo: neglect + narc. control) but I don't respect their spineless passive aggressiveness about it (grow some balls and own it) while shitting on other gens to make themselves feel better/superior. As for DYI ethics that's more questionable, it's so vague you could argue boomers they despise had this DYI attitude as well. Also not true in my experience of Gen X-ers, not much DYI ethics when they are always tartly complaining about their circumstances from a powerless position, always resentful (even entitled at times), always whining about why the higher ups don't retire or die off, while they do as they are told impatiently waiting in line for that promotion. Pretty passive if you ask me, and passive aggressive. Not much DYI maverick streak imo. A lot of them are pretty dead beat in many ways/areas of their lives (relying on recreational substance/drug use, barely there/lifeless in their jobs...even poorly doing their jobs,, etc.)...just passive with a chip on their shoulders. Let's be honest most of the individuals from that list of entrepreneurs would've been looked down on and been bullied by most of their Gen X-ers peers before their successes, which is what they'd used to do. Just ask Cobain or Musk. They stand out precisely because they differ in traits from most of their peers and were unique, carving their path away from their generation's herd/passive/deadbeat mentality.

Every generation has bad, and good people, bad, and good traits. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with someone who might be a Gen Xer. Along with being the most entrepreneurial, and coolest Gen, we also hate drama, which is why we LOVE being forgotten, so, in true Gen X fashion, I'm out of this conversation. I've wasted enough time responding already. I didn't think correcting objectively false info was that controversial. My disappointment with Gen X is nowhere near my hatred of Gen Z.
So typical. So sad that Gen Z has to have you guys have their boss. People who could never pay their dues are going to be whinny and tyrannical boss. No concept of leadership in millennial. There is a good reason why both Gen X and Gen Z hate Gen Y.

As much as I dislike "reboots" they should reboot Alf for a season or to and give himna proper send off. The original series ended rather shittly, with Alf being halled off by the ATF and tbe Tanner family looking all dumbfounded (as if it were a cliffhanger which was just left hanging off the cliff).
