Therapy office cat is a perfectly respectable and important job.
Absolutely.
Yes it iss
I wish we could have therapy cats in stressful jobs, that would be better.

We need more cats everywhere. I want them in every office, in every business across America.

We have an office cat who just gave birth, she is so comfortable with humans, and is always there to cheer us up during our regular break times and lunch.

I feel like having animals in work spaces, would actually make a lot of people like their work better. Can we make this a normal thing? Everyone needs to destress every once in a while.
I guess only at Office Jobs, in retail and warehouse either cats will destroy stuff or will get killed accidentally by machines
People have allergies. Having animals in work spaces is NOT a solution for everyone.
Glad to know they have service cats too. With cats though they might work in retail stores too if its a smaller store with an office attached to it and you have a crate for them.
I like them because they usually just hide and there quieter.
There very intuitive and they live a long time when there fully trained.

I think every workplace that would be safe for a cat, should have an in-house cat to bring joy and stress relief to the environment. I always enjoy going to businesses that have in-house pets, but sadly they are few and far in between.
Think some companies in Japan do that.
Until you're deadly allergic.

I think most office jobs would be less stressful if there was a dog or/and cat or 2. I think most offices could work for having the pets in certain sections if there's someone allergic to them.

nahaaa he is going for the police chiefs job will be renames Pawlice Paws when he gets promoted hehhe
Most police departments have a system as follows:
● Officer - Well this is pretty obvious
● Corporal - Field training officers and sergeant assistants
● Sergeant - First line supervisors
● Lieutenant - First line company man / shift commanders
● Captain - Precinct / Unit commanders
● Major - (much less common) divison commanders (patrol / investigations / tactical / etc.)
● Deputy Chief - (usually found in mid to large sized departments) similar to major, but technically higher ranking
● Chief of Police - I shouldn't and won't have to explain this one.
No. Police chief.

And a full-bird colonel at that! 😆
This is such a moral booster at work! It should be done at all safe work places!
It really is therapeutic. Plenty of hypoallergenic options out there, too!
At the end of the day, these little love fur babies are a life saver for me.
The precinct cat is a good destresser . Clever idea .
There's actually a story about a cat that lives with a construction crew and he wears a little reflective vest.
Especially police stations I think. They deal w so much
Police stations, firefighters stations, and so on, they would be a such great boost of serotonin for anyone who work in very stressful places.
Cats at the workplace are so incredibly underrated.

Captain has an important job that most people don’t know about. He absorbs the negative energy from everyone he comes in contact with and from the office space too. He knows how to transmute it. 🐈😇💕
More like he's in charge around here and he won't accept any negativity from his officers
Of course cat's know what to do with negative energy - they transmute it into something that can be buried safely in a kitty litter box. Just where it belongs. :D
Love he has a little badge, so cute 😍

Well said 👍
Cats are so amazing. People say they aren’t affectionate. They are in their own way and when they want to cuddle or be held, it’s the most special and warm feeling imaginable. ☺️🐈⬛❤️
Couldn’t agree more I remember the first time my rescue kitten came to me on his own and just laid down on my chest to nap it was the best feeling in the world to finally earn my Aldo’s trust
Yeah most who don’t like cats, I think it’s because they can’t force them to cuddle like dogs. /srs
Totally agree i had an increíble Cat with such a great personality like this cutie, and he was incredibly loyal ,he always wants to be around people and spent time with you.

My wife has two cats at her office. Parker and Margaret Fleagalhorn. It's a Doctors office. They have a kitty condo out back we built for them and come in the back office during the day. Margaret takes one of the Doctors chairs and sleeps all day. He has to sit on a metal stool to do his charts. He refuses to disturb the kitty.
Aw, that's so sweet. Love a human that understands the golden rule of not disturbing a sleeping cat.

That's a great idea to have a cat at the office. Must be a morale booster!
I just love when cats just wander into an office or workplace and decide to make it their home.
I’m in the national guard and I started bringing my kitten to my work at the armory everyday and everybody loves her. Soldiers come to see her at my office all day even my commander. I highly recommend having an animal at work. It definitely boosts moral.
I love to see big brawny men melt when they pick up a kitten!
This is such a sweet idea. Especially for folks in high stress jobs. This should be a norm.
I had a cat in Iraq (2004-2005) for a while that would come by and I would feed it cans of tuna; also on a mission, I had the opportunity to buy a trained falcon from a kid with the glove for 20 American dollars, but I declined because of the "no mascots" policy; I told my LT about it later and he said I should have bought it.

Pets have a huge influence in people keeping their humanity. We remember that we aren't just a number, we're people too.
This is the kind of comments i wanna see..
Yeah my pets help me take life a little less seriously ♡
Don't let management hear that.
Cops aren't human
@@NOTDeezy. Not all, i could agree with corruption or whatnot, and yes, some are really awful, i’ve dealt with that.
The opposite of them deal with a lot of stress, coming from their superiors, also adding suicides as well, jobs and that criminality increased drastically, there were a couple of two cops who were killed by a terrorist in front of their 3yo kid, just for being cops, thought the kid was cared by others people, no doubt that the trauma would be very present, even 5 years later and more.
I say, separating the corrupted/violent from the good ones, could be needed... taking an ACAB approach make things harder and solve nothing, no kids should lose a parent/parents because of their job(s).
It’s still taboo for a kid, in school, to say that they have a cop parent or parents, or else, they would deal with violence by their classmates, or more than that.
When you said that "cops aren’t humanS", it’s half-true, just don’t forget what i said to you.
I hope he gets paid in treats for all the hard work and long kitty hours he puts in!
I love the idea of having a cat or dog at work to make the work environment less stressful. They are such a joy and so cute to be around. My work has a counseling service and sometimes a service dog comes in and seeing the dog is so much fun and just to pet and see that day.
I'm sure it actually helps the officer's because it's a stressful job. It's nice to have a cat they make me smile all day long.
was thinking the same thing. and for those visiting the police station I'm sure seeing a friendly cat makes the experience that less intimidating
It's said, that petting a cat, and hearing her purr, DOES physically help ones blood pressure and physical stress level!
@@unappealingundesirable2826 yeah and every catlover knows that. .. it needs to be spread to all other peeeps
These officers jobs are so hard, dealing with victims and the families. This cat showed up because kitty was needed.
Honesty is the hardest part...
The city is now investigating the department for possible fraud. Questions arose when the city auditor noticed that the Captain's salary is now well into six figure territory, and nearly half the department's budget is being spent on cat toys and tuna.
The hardest part for them is filing an accurate police report and not abusing their power. The cat can not help them with either of these things.
Yeah, must be really hard dealing with the families of all the unarmed black men you've murdered.
Slaughtering people sure is hard!
The meowwnager for the Pawlice department 💕💕
We don’t own cats, they own us.
Dogs have owners. Cats have staff!
There used to be a st. bernard dog at a bank near my hometown. She would greet the customers and went home with staff every night. More businesses need to do this!
They would have instantly had my business and I'd have skipped the drive through to pet the doge everytime...
I'm guessing only a small amount of animals would enjoy that, right? Wouldnt most dogs run around going crazy? Hard to find chill pets like that who really absorb being with other people
@@esp-music You clearly commented on here for attention so I have a few minutes to spare so here we go- Why would anyone pick a "crazy" dog to be at the front of their business to represent the calm setting if, in fact, it were not so. My point is this, where the hell are you going with your comment?
@@esp-music pets all have different personalities. It wouldn't be hard to find a happy go lucky one and train it to behave in a work environment, especially if raised from a pup or kitten.
some people are allergic to animals though, maybe not the best idea in such institution.
But a closed office or other workplace that can all agree to have one. Great idea.

The Captain is a hard ass. Especially when it concern's the officers doing their paperwork. His attention to detail is impecable.
Not only do cats have nine lives but can also have 9 hearts so much love to give❤
I think its really good for officers to have this kind of interaction or entertainment because they are fighting crime and it helps to cop a warm feeling hats off to the 🐈
Normally cops only have dogs that are seen as aggressive and threatening, if you see cops with a cute little cat then you see them as more approachable, and more on your side. It's a good tactic for community policing.
Workplace pets really DO impact atmosphere and productivity in a huge positive way. I wish more workplace implemented that!
100% I'm a teacher and, even in that environment, you notice a huge difference. We don't have any school pets, but whenever someone brings theirs in, it's like a breath of fresh air. It helps you relax and makes tough days feel just a bit less so.
The thing is you would have to account for all the people with allergies, but when you get past that it could be a great motivator for workers!

Cats are natural stress relievers. I wish we could have one at the airport where I work and also at my moonlighting bar gig.
I am a "cat whisperer and advocate for cats in our lives with therapy in mind. There is ample studies/ evidence they relieve stress and create a calming healing environment. It's something many cat people understand. LOVE.
What a great idea. A lot of people find flying stressful, and petting a cat would be a good stress reliever, while not leading to tussles with flight attendants later, like drinking might.
In 2016 I flew from Reno, Nevada back home to Idaho and I had my companion cat with me, all the TSA agents had to come over and pet her and love on her and she soaked up all the attention!! Everyone in the airport who noticed I had a cat had to say hi as well. The only issue I had was when I was getting on the plane after a long layover to go back to Idaho and a fellow Idahoan claimed to be allergic to cats and he made a fuss about me having a cat (who was in her carrier) and asked the flight attendant if they could put my cat with the luggage on this tiny charter plane.....🙄🙄😑 The FA was VERY PROTECTIVE of me because they had been told that I have extreme anxiety and have my companion cat to help me and she made the guy switch seats and told him, "She has every right to have her cat with her and either you can sit elsewhere or take another flight because there is NO WAY we're putting a cat with the luggage where it's dangerous." I was very disappointed in my fellow Idahoan that day and wanted to tell him he didn't deserve to be wearing the sweatshirt from the university I attended if he has that attitude. My cat, Sitara, is 13 years old and a talker and has been with me through stressful times and now that I'm married to my spouse we have four cats and my spouse works from home and it's great stress relief to have them around, though there are times we have to close our door to get a break from all the attention they want to give us.
