Cheers from the California Delta. The Hog Farmer Baits Spunk Shad is sleeper bait on the jackhammer in the 4.5 size. Give those a look if you can even find them
My go to trailer is easily the the zman razor shadz they run like a zako just cheaper and are elaztec so I think they are way better I’m messing around on the menace and even putting a missle baits d bomb rigged tall it looks just like a blue gill but just have to see I use the chatter bait elite new version with hand tied skirt and gammy hook
Picked up the Deps and Nories bladed jigs at my local tackle shop. Really impressed with both. Deps makes a bit of a clicking sound and the Nories stays down well and the hulabug trailer they give you in box is awesome. Has great movement.
I’ve been trimming my chatter skirts to the length of the hook and using the zman finesse shadz. Great straight tail trailers. They’re only 4” so trimming the skirt seems to give it a better action.
Living in Florida I keep Chatterbait trailers very simple. I use Zako and Bitters Ring Ding for finesse. That's it. Retrieve speed seems more important than trailer
Know this is an older video what do you think about the osp action trailer? It comes paired with the osp blade jig spec2. Speaking of osp blade jig. You guys ever going to get them in stock?
I love the videos you guys put out. I'll be in Scottsdale this summer with family. My brother in law and I plan on coming in to check out the store and spend enough money to make our wives mad at us the rest of the trip. Can't wait!
Using flat style creature baits works great in wood as well. It will help keep the bait from rolling as it comes over wood. There are several that are great but I really like the Yamamoto Sanshouo. The tail on that thing has a cool action on a vibrating jig. There are several reaper tail style baits that give the bait a unique action and different look, they work great for pressured waters. Cutting a 6" Strike King Rage CutR worm to around 4-4.5" works great too. It has a tighter action and not a ton of plastic to make ride higher in water.
Thank you for the tips I have been fishing a chatter bait for a while now I just don't get bites I am going to try some of your tips and see what happens right now I have no confidence in that chatter bait :(.....
Awesome video guys. I am currently using the zoom fluke, big bite baits swimon, Yum Swiming Dinger and the menace rigged vertically. Cool baits I’ll have to try thanks for the recommendations.
I've run through tons of trailers to be honest but, still haven't really found what my fish like. I haven't tried the Death Adder yet, maybe they'll like it. Just don't have much luck with chatterbaits.
great vid. man i do wish you all could get onto some of those ISSEI japan offerings...elusive AF everywhere. anyway, another banger vid on one of my favorite techniques. that 13g Issei AK chatter in #15 tho... i've got to say that the deathadder is the deal as a trailer.
Picked up some Deathhadder based on your recommendation for the Stealth Blade and love it! It fits perfect. Only grabbed 1 bag of the 5in for a regular Jack Hammer, 100% need to order some more!! What color would you suggest for the TG Jack Hammer in Matte Black? Or the New COld Shad color? Thanks
Wow, thanks for this information. Until now, I prefered the dolive stick (in 3-3.5", with a smaller chatterbait like the tiny kaishin blade, dera break or breakblade as I'm targetting perch here) but never tried the HP minnow, which I mostly fish weightless or with the DS. I Will defenetely give this a try, too. I can't get the stealth blade over here in Europe. Is it roughly the same size as the OSP blade jig spec 2?
Been wondering what to use for trailers outside of Zakos. Only problem with OSP and Deps is the colors don't match some of the chatterbait colors I have, or they're just out of stock and hard to find for the colors I'm looking for. I only throw the white/treuse, black/blue and red/craw. I know there's colors close to what I'm looking for, so will it matter if it's a little different in tone?
No sometimes mixing colors makes it stand out more than the normal colors that the fish see every day like I will put green pumpkin trailer on my black and blue jigs instead of matching it and it will make them eat it cause it's something different I'll put a mothilate orange color on my chartreuse and white chatter bait and they will wear it out cause it kind of makes it look like coleslaw color just try different things and I guarantee it will work

Thanks again, Always a great thing to know how, and what your favorite rod designed for, for better results
Put the keitech paddle tail on upside down to make it run better...
Cut the paddle portion off and it swims excellent as well.
The Z Man Goat is killer too
If the super cool JDM tackle is not available the Hog Farmer Spunk Shad is my preferred alternative to the Deps death adder.
Excellant presentation! I really like those OSP trailers. I use the Zako but it's nice to see better alternatives for smaller chatterbaits.

Razor shads 👍
Thanks! Ben for the tutorials and info.. Greetings from Sonora, Mexico

Awesome tutorial guys!!
The jackall chunk craw works great on the jack hammer on a slide retrieve especially.

Excellent explanation of chatter bait trailers. Use of the trolling pool really helps me visualize the trailer impact.
Chattrl we rer chatterbate

Great info! Right on time.
The Jackall iShad works pretty good for smaller chatterbaits too !
I use Zoom Flukes almost all the time
Ive been killin it on the Willow Vib lately with a naked Sako and a Baby Z 2 on the Stealthblade

What about the deal by berkley. It is great
I liked the OSP dolive in the bento box for the stealth blade! Great video!
My go to trailers are the Jackall i-Shad and the Hog Farmer Spunk Shad. Great video!
My brother uses the Spunk Shad and they look awesome!
R2S Dwalker with the paddle snipped off gives a tight action and the durability is second to none.
My go-to trailer is SK Rage Bug. Keeps the bait above the weeds.
I like the Jackall I-shad on smaller chatter baits.
Another great video. Fish🎣 on!
Kast king has a 4or5 pack of chatter baits for cheap. My only jackhammer stays in the tacklebox lol
I use 3'' curly tail grub for smallmouth and largemouth
What about the Keitech Shad Impact? Do you think it’ll work too?
Sometimes easy shiner or 4" curly tail grub

needed this😣..... 🙏 thank you
Great tips must try the minnow
I'm hoping to catch my first bass on a chatterbait this year. I've been fishing since I was 3, but I have only thrown one a handful of times.
I like your details that you told me to do

My dolive/ Stealth is in a tree...it was sexy while it lasted! Hahaha. Thanks BENto!
Great video
Hogfarmer Spunk Shad, check it out!!!
5" regular JH,4" stealth.
Strike King blade minnow is a great option as well. That said I’m sure you wouldn’t find a pack of strike king baits in that shop 😂
Dang no beer what’s going on??? Lol thankx for the tips!!!
Jackhammer a deep to shallow swimming Bait?
Where can I get those trailer hook tubes
The OSP HP Minnow reminds me of the Mann’s Reel N Shad
What’s your lb line do you use on your jack hammer
I just can’t wait for Deps to release Fire Craw🦞 color
Trim the Keitech on the tail mold line or fish it upsidedown.
nice info. all you have to do is slice and trim your keitechs
Thought hog farmer would have made the list
Lake fork magic shad or yamamoto swim senko on the phenix vib jig. If you know you know 😎
Cracked out bait fish 😂😂😂😂
I used a 10000 fish yoto worms as a trailer 4.75 had Best fishing trip ever. Used on 3/8 oz. Ocb

What about a junior super fluke?
"Yes." -Griff
I prefer the SK chatterbait trailer over the Yamamoto
I've caught more bass on trailer-less chatterbates and spinnerbaits... I'm not saying it's better, just something that has worked for me.
Nice use of a single hook as a trailer. Alot of guys immediately think of using a stinger treble hook as a trailer & it never ends well for the fish.
That reaction innovations shiver shot is 🔥 on the stealth blade! Its a little more movement than some of the other similar baits but not much more
Thanks!!
Didn’t know teckel made one
chatter bait mini > jack hammer stealth. the stealth hasn't impressed me at all to be honest. caught 30 in 1 day on the mini.
NO ORION??
Only problem you follow link sold out ? So why bother even putting link?
👊🏽
“ZAAAko” not “zacko” hahahaha
First
Turn that paddle tail swimbait upside down and I promise you you'll catch more fish
Please don't laugh. It NEVER occurred to me to trim the skirts on chatterbaits! Thanks!
