The part where Vegeta does a Kamehameha, imo, is that the Saiyans are mentally linked so when they both touched fists and Goku being more powerful in that form Vegeta automatically knew what technique Goku was gonna do and followed his lead, in this lore anyway
@@majinsole8554 Actually, he's right. The lore they're basing this animation on is the original lore which dragonball was formed from which is Journey to the West(more specifically Sun Wukong's story) and in that at one point he does turn into essentially the form goku took in this which does have the power to give a person who's wrist he is touching (yes, specifically the wrist) access to power similar to his and his own techniques as well. There's also a reason that goku turns into this form here which makes a lot of sense given where they are taking inspiration from , but that would require more explanation than I'm willing to do here.
So a quick couple things: The OG SSJ hair colour is more white than yellow, and with the aura it came out more yellow. As the years went on we got a more deep yellow colour. Yeah this timeline makes no sense, but it's just a "things we love about dragonball" all mashed in one video. Kind of like a... fan made greatest hits! I just wish they had more time to add more stuff/more staff to make the next episode come out sooner 😂 I believe, this team worked on some stuff for RISE: TMNT and that Lego show about Son Wukong. If you watch those shows you'll see the fights have BIG anime inspiration, and their endings are very much inspired by Gurren Lagann.
I think the timeline makes sense, as soon as I saw that planet begets still existed, vegeta’s father was still alive, vegeta was king and Nappa and Radditz were the kings guard it’s clear the events of the original timeline didn’t happen here. So to compare it to the original timeline wise when all of that speaks volumes for how this will be different makes complete sense.
Bro you tripping, this shit was straight heat all the way through. The color of the hair was correct and i honestly thought he would've picked up on Goku's transformation but I guess not.
Scru tbh you're tripping about the different timeline thing. I mean think about this film man, it's like they took 2 random characters to fight but they still shaped the original world and plotlines they came from, in a unique way. Vegeta rulling over all the living sayans? Goku fighting chi-chi in a tournament because he dodged marriage? Brody crashing into earth to confront him...all in 10 minutes? Dude it's called a dragon ball film, this is MORE impressive than keeping the og storyline.
I don't know I think being original allows themselves to do more stuff than just trying to copy the stuff that we already been told 15 billion time. Honestly even the cannon of dragon ball right now isn't straight because the anime and the manga is completely different. Plus with trunks making the multiple timelines it's literally Can be anything.
It's not so much a bunch of random fan canon nonsense as them just taking more from the original source than Toriyama did
Goku's transformation here is based on Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, who Goku in general was already based on (it's just a much more obvious reference now.) Vegeta can do the kamehameha with Goku at the end as a reference to the original Sun Wukong's ability to transfer knowledge of techniques to others by touching wrists (which Goku and Vegeta do just before the attack.)
Copyright was not a factor in this video as they did not monetize- the animation was simply an artistic style choice. It’s very obvious that this is a different DB universe, but upon my second watch, they drop some hints as to why some things are the way they are. The opening text had the date A.F. , which likely means After Freeza, which is an immediate hint that the Saiyans in this universe gotta be a lot stronger with a lot more potential if they even RESISTED Freeza. Secondly, Vegeta’s dialogue really hints that although they are a warrior race still, they feel a little more honorable (or at least have some kind of code) and that they lean into the mystic aspect of their SSJ power quite a bit more. This is also evident in the visual look and title of Goku’s transformation, which harkens back to the Monkey King Son Wukong and the one thing that can beat him- the Fire of Samadhi. I think this also hints at how Vegeta instantly knew the Kamehameha technique, because when they made physical contact there was that horizontal flash that I think symbolized a kind of union or FUSION of their minds and spirits. That last one was just kinda head cannony, but I think the point stands- different universe with different rules, stories, and explanations. ~_~
And again you really are close minded Your reaction legit almost made me mad lol 😂. Whatchu talking about "if you made it"... If you made it, it would have been garbage 💀. I also grew up with dragonball and it single handily got me into anime but I can also recognize that it was really basic and faulty at times so seeing it presented with new concepts and ideas got me all excited again. While I do think that dragonball is great and all, this version reminded me of newer shonen that stepped their game up big time in comparison to the classics. Makes me re-imagine it in a newer, better light and shows all the potential it has. The fact that you can only see it as smth nonsensical with cool fights is a bit infuriating to me. I really really hope someone gets inspired by this and dragonball gets a new make over cause as it is I don't see it having a bright future. Theoretically it has a whole universe it could explore with so much cool shit! But as it stands it's just monster of the week plus bigger=equals better.
When he said he wouldve made it. He didnt mean if he literally wouldve made it. He was giving his own interpretation if he had the ability to do this....like literally many others do when they see something they Iike but i get it. Because scru isnt wanking it like everyome else, his interpretation doesnt matter.
@@Replies.Delete.SometimesIDKy that's not the issue, the issue is that he missed the whole point. He was being such a stickler for the original he missed out on the whole concept of the Fan film. They weren't trying to make a new series or a copy, they made a love letter based ont he best parts, Scru missed all of that

This was a passion project with no budget that took 4 years for them to make and everything from the animations to the coloring to the voice acting was on point. Even the creative twists like Vegeta being punched out of SSJ and having to keep powering back up mid fight. That’s creative as hell.
Basically, this is written in an alternative universe/timeline so things are naturally going to be different from the way it was initially done in canon. Once you detach yourself from the DB/DBZ/DBS mindset and think of this a separate piece of media, I think you would enjoy it way more.
I was just thinking that, so this could be canon since there are multiple timelines in the DBZ universe. This timeline can just be one of many alternative universe/ timelines.
I've heard a lot of people saying that they don't like it because it's not like the original just because something's not the original doesn't mean it's bad if I'm being honest this is leads above something like cell saga or super
The reality is as long as Consumers/Dragon Ball Community continues to throw money at these Companies that do the BARE MINIMUM writing/animation wise, they'll continue to offer us trash as long as we tolerate it. Crazy how Mainstream Companies do so little, while Fans/Modders/Indie Developers go ABOVE AND BEYOND for the community! 🔥
bruh i watched this in the mentality of "this is an alternate timeline", cause it seemed like here, vegeta knew goku from before the part that we seeing here, so its not too farfetched that he lnows the kamehameha. but aye that does take some mental gymnastics to get to. but i cannot believe you werent blown away by the transformation. As a true db fan knowing full well what Son Goku is based off of i was geeking like a mf when he transformed and i feel like thats how any deep db fan would react to sumn like that. like if he got that transformation in the canon instead of ssj blue, i'd be SO FUCKING HAPPY dawg. but apart from that i agree with you bro, as a kid in the school yard if a mf im playin with say krillin go super saiyan or goku threw a resenshuriken, they'd immediately receive the most disrespectful uppercut of all time boi the hands would be immaculate fr
SCRU, they HAD to remove it from canon as much as possible, including making it a full alternate timeline and changing up attacks. The more different they made it, the harder it is for T*ei to claim a copyright strike. It's not DB, DBZ, or even Super. It's art that's inspired by all of Toriyama's work, some new shit we never seen before. We need more stuff like this, otherwise art is going to die cause companies like The Mouse and T*ei will crush any attempt to show love for the source.
Actually no they said this was a passion project and didn't plan on making money with it so even if they went Canon they wouldn't have mind having a copywrite strike they just wanted to add somethings to make it better like Goku turning into son wukong(which is who Goku is based on) and it make sense that Vegeta know Kamehameha since Goku is able to transfer knowledge in that form
So as far as story goes, this seems to take place in a timeline where Freiza hasn’t or was unable to conquer planet Vegeta, thus leading to a world where saiyns know how to go SS1 at least, and with Goku being raised on earth, he can only transform into a primal form of it, using an unrefined style of fighting while in that form as opposed to Vegeta who was raised and trained properly on his planet.
When you look at fan animations you have to look at it not as a dragon ball film, but more of a dragon ball chacters in a unique story and plot. Gokus transformation was sick, and it makes sense to other pieces he made before. This is a gem and is beyond the bestvat what its doing.
Saw this yesterday and was just like WTF did I just watch that was amazing!!! SPEECHLESS. And Scru you gotta keep an open mind. this is there way of not just copying it and it gets taken down. It's like let's take some of the greatest moments and throw it all together. Also seems like they are making a series with a story. And the reason goku looked like that is bc as far as I understand in their culture Son Goku/The monkey king/Son Wukong is a real thing and was essential a fire monkey God. Like how in Naruto son goku is a lava monkey tailed beast. I know I'm not right on everything there but with my basic knowledge best way I could put it. Feel free explain it correctly and better if you want.
Son Wukong is a Monkey based mythological figure mainly in Chinese mythology but can also be found by concept in Hindu religion as well. Son Wukong is a Monkey born from a large boulder and a strong being, he was trained by taoists and is able to fight better then all and stronger than most. if your more curious about the details look in the wiki page
This is basically their depiction of super broly with a tad of last airbender in there too, especially the art style of DBS super Broly. It looks fire, the fights are fire even the dialogue is fire. I loved how it wasn't the same story told again like superman. this is unique and i love it. They properly mixed in the mythological form of Son Goku, Monkey King, Son Wu Kong. Their joined attack was to show how they can pick up off eachothers vibes and attack by natural fighters instinct.
Actually son Wukong has the ability, while in the form goku was in, to give people access to power similar to his and his techniques as well by touching their wrist which you can see him do right before they attack (you can even see the link form between too)
The reason why Vegeta's hair is white it's to pay tribute to the reason the Super Sayain transformation exists in the 1st place coz the artists just didn't want to keep drawing Goku's hair in black for every panel so for the transformation they just left it white hence the tribute
Love how this team did this especially how they have Goku a form reminiscent of the actual character that inspired his creation, Sun Wukong (the monkey king).
fun fact: if you didn't know, Goku is based off the Chinese lore of the Moneky King Wukong. in that form used one of the monkey kings abilities, he can share knowledge and abilities with others, hence why vegeta used Kamehameha
So a couple of things, 1st, I get where you're coming from. It kind of breaks the nostalgia of our childhood when something we connected with as kids is so egregiously different and it makes it hard for us to connect to this completely, but unfortunately that's on US not on the guys who created it because at the end of the day, there were things that were done better by this tiny studio of guys that even Toei and Funimation couldn't touch. 2nd, they took a more Journey to the West approach to heart with the traditional looking writing and Goku's more Monkey King appearance which I want to say Toriyama had credited originally to the design of Goku. All I can say is I thought this was absolutely incredible and this studio needs support because they brought something to life that deserves recognition regardless if Toei or Funimation like it. Lastly, anyone else notice that there were some streetfighter references in here. (the Fist in the Kamehameha and Vegeta's fighting stance being Ryu/Ken)
The whole thing about this is they're creating and adding their own stories to the world of dragon ball, their own timelines that are so different than the main timeline. This is like future trunks timeline but to a more extreme version. Why doesn't scru realize how dope this is?
When Vegeta linked hands with Goku in the wukong form, Goku shared his kamehameha ability with vegeta, which is why he did it as well, almost like when they fuse and they use a kamehameha.
The creator did an interview. Broly and Vegeta are time/universe travellers, Broly is hunting down Goku across all timelines, and Vegeta is hunting Broly. Presumably Vegeta also does a side mission of killing Frieza in every timeline he chases Broly through. He revealed there might be an original universe goku somewhere in relation to the time travelling. I realize this comment is super late but damn.
In this film goku's form was based on sun wukong and his abilities. In the lore one of his abilities is that he can transfer his knowledge/abilities instantly to anyone he touches and that is why when he touches vegeta he is able to do the Kamehameha.
A lot of people in the comments are already saying it, but this actually makes more sense than the original canon. Or.. I should say this is a far more preferable storyline. Everything can still happen as they did in the original; but everyone's motivations make far more sense. Frieza didn't attack Planet Vegeta yet, so the Vegeta we know rose to King. Since we know Kamehameha was passed down from Grampa Gohan, we can assume Vegeta has descended to Earth before and learned it.. or simply through Goku sharing his "Golden Light." Either way, Raditz and Nappa aren't essentially wasted, and Vegeta can still get what he wants from Goku without losing his tail or having this dumb inferiority complex. Realistically it only makes sense Vegeta should be at this stage. Most Saiyan's should be. They've been a race far longer than the few episodes it took Goku to become a super Saiyan. Broly. I never seen the super movie so I can speak on how they rewrote them. But if he had a lifetime grudge against Goku, it sure as hell doesn't make sense that he waited 40 years just for his daddy to go pick up the Saiyan's for him to deal with his childhood trauma. He's a legendary Saiyan. He would just come after Goku himself. Also.. Goku is *supposed* to be Son Wukong. This transformation is essentially canon in even toriyama's eyes lmao. Anyways those are just my points. Everyone is entitled to their own ideas~
Agreed! I like this alternate story MORE than the original. Watching my boy Vegeta carry that enormous chip on his shoulder after Freiza effed the Saiyans up got tiresome, to the point that he turned into a meme. I LOVE that this studio gave Vegeta the respect he's due, while also letting Goku shine as THE Monkey King, Sun Wukong. I want to see WAY more from this AU. It's such a backhand way to be like "hire them for the animation, but this story sucks cuz it's not canon!" Sometimes Scru's too smart for his own good--not everything needs to be 1:1 and nitpicked to hell and back cuz it's not the way HE thinks it should have been.
"Frieza didn't attack Planet Vegeta yet, so the Vegeta we know rose to King" There is a theory, that they defeted freiza. Did you notice "AF" after planet's name? is AF winch could mean "After Frezia" Ant the statue.... Im blind, bu it could be Saiyan victory over freiza. That is the theory I did read somewhere. PS. I know the date, but still...
It's a bit stiff to want all works that took heavy inspiration from Dragon Ball to BE dragon ball but with small deviations from the original script cuh, this ain't DB, this is original work from an independent creator who created their own story and lore and canon in that original work, but still drew heavy inspiration from Dragon Ball. I get it bruh, that DB nerd wants something in connection with the original Dragon Ball, but this ain't it, this is it's own thing, and ya gotta respect it as such bruh.
They didn't go with anything from the original story because that would also violate copyright, also that was Wukong, not the 9 tails, original DragonBall is inspired by Journey to the West, the story of the Monkey King, also about 30 people in DB know how to do the Kamehameha
Scru, I thought you of all people would see the Sun Wukong reference in what Goku did and how he looked. You know he is based off that character. They made him take on some of his appearance too. I loved it. But yeah, I felt like Vegeta should have used Gallick Gun.
In this Animation, Goku is based on himself and Son WUkong. Wukong has a power where he can give his technics to others. Thats why Vegeta did the Kamekameha. I didnt know it until someone told me so maybe it helps you to understand :D
10:45 The reason that vegeta can kamehameha here is because gokus transformation is based on Son Wukong, who could share his abilities with people he touched. So goku is literally sharing the knowledge and training to use the kamehameha instantly with vegeta when their wrists touch.
Nah hope they keep this story going how they’re doing… don’t have to follow canon when they can make an original story for these characters however they want
You don't seem to understand that Goku is based on Son Wukong. That is the form he attained here. One of wukong's abilities is being able to instantly share his techniques with others, hence vegeta knowing kamehameha. It all makes sense. No one cares about canon bro. You don't seem to know as much about Dragonball's origins as you think.

Its basically a what if situation seeing as kv still alive and they still have tails this is basically a situation where frieza didnt destroy planet vegeta
this animation is based on the actual son wukong lore which is why son gokus transformation is more monkey like. also in the Saiyan early lore the stronger Saiyan could transfer a portion of their power and knowledge by touching wrists which is why Vegeta was able to use the Kamehameha eventhough this was the first time meeting Goku. you could see the transfer of power and memories when they touched wrists.
So this version of Goku is based more on Sun Wukong. Even the form of Goku here. He can share his abilities by touching wrists which is why that happens here and Vegeta can do the Kamehameha
Because of Goku’s form being based on the Monkey King Sun Wukong/Sun Goku, one of the powers the monkey king has is that he shares his powers with others. See how Goku breathes power into Vegeta that one scene. That’s how he knew Kamehameha
Son Goku = Son Wukong. Goku's character is based off the Monkey King. This is why he's able to master everyone's techniques with ease just like Wukong can.
It's a completely different take on Dragon ball. It's own self-contained story. Like there are so many layers to this including call out to the journey to the west inspiration with Goku's son wukong transformation
this transformation from Goku is The Monkey King Son Goku AkA Sun Wukong and he can share his power with touching fists with allys, so that is why Vegeta can do the Kame Hame Ha, its an easter egg
Vegeta has used the Kahmehameha wave attack before, hes stated that he hates using it cause its Gokus move. Its just like how Vegeta is able to use Krillens Destructo disc but again tries not to use it cause its not "HIS" move. But Hes able to do so.
I like ya reactions but I think u need to be more open minded. The fact is it isn’t dragon ball z or anything, it’s it’s own original story just enjoy their own take on it (I thought originally why he ain’t just do Galick gun)
It's like if studio trigger got hold of the ip. Plus the team honors old lore with some movie special mixed in Goku an Vegeta have done a Kamehameha together in plan to eradicate the Saiyans with there allies. P.s. call back to Goku as son wukong chef's 💋
In my opinion I like that they didn't tie into like the main storyline or the main cannon cause if I'm being honest the man dragon ball cannon needs to be put to bed at this point like seriously. The OG SSJ hair colour is more white than yellow, and with the aura it came out more yellow. As the years went on we got a more deep yellow colour.
Yeah this timeline makes no sense, but it's just a "things we love about dragonball" all mashed in one video. Kind of like a... fan made greatest hits!
I just wish they had more time to add more stuff/more staff to make the next episode come out sooner 😂
I believe, this team worked on some stuff for RISE: TMNT and that Lego show about Son Wukong.
If you watch those shows you'll see the fights have BIG anime inspiration, and their endings are very much inspired by Gurren Lagann.
Actually Rise:TMNT coming back
Now that I think about it, the Rise tmnt makes a lotta sense once I observe the style
It took them four years to animate this. If they get more people, perhaps it can be quicker
Dude, it does makes sense in an alternative universe.
Bro you tripping, this shit was straight heat all the way through. The color of the hair was correct and i honestly thought he would've picked up on Goku's transformation but I guess not.
True, the way he talk about being a dragon ball fan, you would think he’d know who the main character is based off of.
To be fair the kamehameha isn’t a complicated move to copy
Is literally the most simple beam attack in dragon ball
Honestly all beam attacks are simple in concept in dragon ball. Especially with everyone’s level of ki control
@@kirbo4111 at this point in dragon ball a 7 year old could piss a kamehameha
definitely not the most simple, Saiyans are just inherently overpowered. It took Roshi many, many years to create that attack.
@@povism6073 GOTEN DID ACTUALLY TBF
@@WXRST99 Krillin used it only after maybe not even half a year, Roshi created it as a human meaning it took longer than it should.
Facts!
Goku did that fr in the original Dragon Ball
I don't know I think being original allows themselves to do more stuff than just trying to copy the stuff that we already been told 15 billion time. Honestly even the cannon of dragon ball right now isn't straight because the anime and the manga is completely different. Plus with trunks making the multiple timelines it's literally Can be anything.
~_~
The last point makes sense. Vegeta knew to link with Goku and yelling "Now" wopuld mean a joint attack
@@triplemoyagames4195 in sunwon kong he can share powers with touching each other’s wrists
And this is obviously more of a sun wong king thing
@@dantemitsoyu977 Ah, I get that. I am just saying in Dragon ball from my understanding, that's how I would write it off

Your reaction legit almost made me mad lol 😂.
Scru just a closed minded nigga like bro it's just a fan made thing not supposed to be part of the original story lol
When he said he wouldve made it. He didnt mean if he literally wouldve made it. He was giving his own interpretation if he had the ability to do this....like literally many others do when they see something they Iike but i get it. Because scru isnt wanking it like everyome else, his interpretation doesnt matter.
His reaction didn't almost make you mad, it clearly did make you mad. You even confirm this by saying you're infuriated.
@@controlman7490 fair enough
@@Replies.Delete.SometimesIDKy that's not the issue, the issue is that he missed the whole point. He was being such a stickler for the original he missed out on the whole concept of the Fan film. They weren't trying to make a new series or a copy, they made a love letter based ont he best parts, Scru missed all of that
This is more like a spin-off, taking some db elements and references while they make they own story out of it. Also with a different art style. I think it’s dope and storytelling to me is fire.
Vegeta doing kamehameha isn't an impossible thing, it took goku a few seconds to see roshi use it and he did it without any practice.
When he said unlocked the nine tail i cringed a bit 🤣
😭😭😭 fax I know what he mean though the movements are similar
I've heard a lot of people saying that they don't like it because it's not like the original just because something's not the original doesn't mean it's bad if I'm being honest this is leads above something like cell saga or super
The reality is as long as Consumers/Dragon Ball Community continues to throw money at these Companies that do the BARE MINIMUM writing/animation wise, they'll continue to offer us trash as long as we tolerate it. Crazy how Mainstream Companies do so little, while Fans/Modders/Indie Developers go ABOVE AND BEYOND for the community! 🔥
OMFG THIS IS SO TRUE, I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS!
What are you talking about? (Although, I agree on the last part.)
bruh i watched this in the mentality of "this is an alternate timeline", cause it seemed like here, vegeta knew goku from before the part that we seeing here, so its not too farfetched that he lnows the kamehameha. but aye that does take some mental gymnastics to get to.
but i cannot believe you werent blown away by the transformation.
Big facts
Their joined attack was to show how they can pick up off eachothers vibes and attack by natural fighters instinct.
superman has many different stories, L comparison
@@rasenganmaster101 thats just super hero comics in general they got like 10k universes
Actually son Wukong has the ability, while in the form goku was in, to give people access to power similar to his and his techniques as well by touching their wrist which you can see him do right before they attack (you can even see the link form between too)
Stop going by timelines and just enjoy the appreciation for Dragonball...it pulls at every era
The reason why Vegeta's hair is white it's to pay tribute to the reason the Super Sayain transformation exists in the 1st place coz the artists just didn't want to keep drawing Goku's hair in black for every panel so for the transformation they just left it white hence the tribute
Clicked just to hear Scru call broly, "Broil-Lee" for the 9837159873459823475th time lol
I actually enjoy it not being a 1 for 1 . That leaves open the ability to tell a new engaging story and add some new ingredients element wise as well.
I agree with everything here 100%!
Journey to the *east*
@@Theo-di8qe Journey to the East is a short story by German Author Hermann Hesse

I really like your reaction, your comments actually bring something to the video.
For the Vegeta using the kamehama, you could say Vegeta has been observing goku ever since he landing on earth, and learned the kamehama when goku did
The creator did an interview.
Ok ion gotta say anything comments did not disappoint 👏
The monkey symbolism is phenomenal
Had the same reaction when Chichi's arm got snapped didn't expect it
Scru reacted to this how I imagine fellas who grew up with Journey to the West reacted to Dragonball.
That combined Kamehameha is based on a skill the monkey king son wu Kong has he can share his knowledge and skills with whomever he is touching.
Vegeta using Gallic Gun is not that big of a deal. Final Flash is Vegeta’s other attack.
In this Animation, Goku is based on himself and Son WUkong. Wukong has a power where he can give his technics to others. Thats why Vegeta did the Kamekameha. I didnt know it until someone told me so maybe it helps you to understand :D
10:45
The reason that vegeta can kamehameha here is because gokus transformation is based on Son Wukong, who could share his abilities with people he touched.
So goku is literally sharing the knowledge and training to use the kamehameha instantly with vegeta when their wrists touch.
The transformation is a sun wukong reference, what the person original goku was model after
If you’re confused about vegeta using kamehama was because goku could share the move with vegeta, he had the ability to share his move with others
Bro , it’s his own story, inspired from dragon all, his power levels, his story,
This is a fusion of Dragon Ball with the mythos plot of Sun Wukong, that’s why it’s so different and has the crazy SSJ appearance on Goku
How you this critical over DBZ but don’t even say Broly name correctly? 😂 Much love Scru
The confused look when Goku transformed 😂😂😂 expecting Super Saiyan
I have never seen a more on point comment section. Y’all some real ones.
Nah hope they keep this story going how they’re doing… don’t have to follow canon when they can make an original story for these characters however they want
I love how he made gokus super saiyan transformation look like sun wukong seeing as how goku was based off of sun wukong
I love how they added the monkey king stuff
My mans stay saying "Broily" instead of Broly lmao
I watched so many other reactions and other fans of db just enjoyed it so much. Then there’s this video we’re your picking it apart. Also gokus form is based off the legend he was designed after. I’m looking through the comments a lot more og fans here that understand all the thing here unlike you, but o well. I’m glad you still liked it to some degree

Fun fact:apparently goku in that form used one of the monkeys king abilities he can share knowledge and abilities with others, hence why vegeta used kamehameha,of course bruh this is not cannon thats why its called FAN MADE ANIMATION,and thats sun wu kong transformation since goku inpired to sun wu kong
My man, it's a fan made alternate time line film. Hell it draws its art from 90s DB and even Kill La Kill. Took the man 4 years to make it. Just enjoy it for what it is. You being so hung up on it not tieing into cannon, makes it look like you are just shitting on it.
This is better than the original, also they actually made vegeta and c hi chi actually characters and honestly some more respect for this man
One of the powers of Sun Wukong (whom Goku is based on, and is being more accurately portrayed here) is that of sharing abilities.

Its basically a what if situation seeing as kv still alive and they still have tails this is basically a situation where frieza didnt destroy planet vegeta
The reason Vegeta did Kamehameha is because Goku shared the ability. Goku in this form is supposed to be like Son Wukong, Wukong has that ability
It took him 4 years to make it and it's worth it
this animation is based on the actual son wukong lore which is why son gokus transformation is more monkey like. also in the Saiyan early lore the stronger Saiyan could transfer a portion of their power and knowledge by touching wrists which is why Vegeta was able to use the Kamehameha eventhough this was the first time meeting Goku. you could see the transfer of power and memories when they touched wrists.
I love this animation, because they mix dragonball and the monkey king
This is how son goku is described as a god there actually going canon based off the mythology behind dragon ball. Hints “the savior of heavens”
This a whole other timeline
i think toe should hire the creator of this video and give him full funding and a team to create a spin-off universe
Finally was looking this whole morning for your reaction 2 dis 🔥
“We ducked the cannon like old dra-“
I wonder what he was going to say? Huh maybe perhaps he was going to say “gonball movies”?
I’m DEAD
this transformation from Goku is The Monkey King Son Goku AkA Sun Wukong and he can share his power with touching fists with allys, so that is why Vegeta can do the Kame Hame Ha, its an easter egg
It is Dragon Ball, but in a different universe.
It's like if studio trigger got hold of the ip. Plus the team honors old lore with some movie special mixed in Goku an Vegeta have done a Kamehameha together in plan to eradicate the Saiyans with there allies.
P.s. call back to Goku as son wukong chef's 💋
Goku's new form is a direct reference to son Wu Kong where Gokus original inspiration came from.
First time commentor. You gotta let the artist take creative liberties with his work. The differences were dope.
In my opinion I like that they didn't tie into like the main storyline or the main cannon cause if I'm being honest the man dragon ball cannon needs to be put to bed at this point like seriously. So overall them doing something completely new and completely different is amazing and honestly re lit my fire for this franchise
The sun wukong form is fire
Scru just think of it as an alternate DB Universe!!

Gokus transformation is based on wu kong
