  • @blank_9565

    Every guitar sounds awesome through a 2000$ amp
    Edit: also this gibson (well most gibsons) arent so expensive because of their incredible sound and production, which would maybe rectify 1000$ for a guitar, but rather because of their name, for example a gucci bag wouldn’t cost 2000$ because it’s a limited edition one piece with metal parts that were taken from the meteor that killed dinosaurs, but simply because the name “gucci” is printed on it.
    What matters though if you’re aiming for a good sound is the medium that defines it. So the only thing that DRASTICALLY changes the sound on aguitar is the pickups, which pick up the sound and send it to the amp to process, the rest comes down to the amp and effects, so instead of wasting money that could get you nearly frkn anything on a brand name and the age of a guitar, waste it on the amp or thousands of suits, your choice.
    Wow long edit, wanted to write one sentence cmon

      @voornaam3191 Год назад

      @@turdman4976Any idea how many collectors are searching for the early fifties Fender Strats? Those are all worth the weight in solid gold.
      And when you buy an old Yamaha Pacifica, those are still normal money. So: upgrade one, and do it thorough. Seymour Duncan pickups, or what pickups you like best. Buy a sturdier floating bridge. Everything that touches the strings has an effect on the resulting sound. That's why expensive tuners are often better, it's not about how good they tune, it is about how that string keeps vibrating, and that is important for your sound, that is why certain guitar players prefer certain tuners. It's not just looks. New jumbo frets, if you like jumbo frets. And do have the wisdom of putting the original parts in a box, marked PARTS YP112, you never know when the hype will make you a millionaire, provided you still got the yellowed pickup covers and all. Seen video's of people buying an old guitar, and being very very glad the vintage pickup has always been in the guitar case, and the seller knew the buyer did appreciate it being there. Great.

      @@turdman4976Try making such a guitar today. Sure Gibson does replica series, but I wonder what (home build) luthiers come closest to the original. Maybe that's a challenge. You need very similar wood, parts that sound just like what they used to have. And measurements should be pretty acurate. How hard can it be? Maybe aging is a thing, guitars that keep being played, are said to sound better. Where do you find the soul for such a replica?

      I definitely would not recommend cheap guitars to beginners, as they usually don't come well set up, tuners suck, nut may cause issues, sharp fret ends or uneven frets, bad electronics, etc. But if you want your learning process to also include setting a guitar up, I don't see anything wrong with buying one as a beginner. But if you're playing it as it is straight out of the box... Just no.

      @@razerPh Let's be real, the quality of cheap guitars has gone up dramatically over the years. You can buy a complete guitar, with excellent hardware, electronics, for a good price. For example, take a $700 guitar and pit it up against a guitar that's double $1400, and if you did a blind test, if you were honest, it would be extremely difficult to distinguish which guitar is the more expensive guitar, that is to say the quality you get in $1400 is not going to be double the quality when compared to the $700. There's only so much you can do to a guitar before you get to a custom, and at that point, why even compare it to a cheap one from ebay or Amazon? Like you dropped $3-$4k for a guitar you won't even want to take with you to a gig or take it out of the case because of how expensive it is.

      That's not true whatsoever you can play the same exact lick the same exact way once on a piece of crap guitar with bad intonation and action and cheap pickups and once on a guitar with good pickups good intonation good action and hardware and every single time the lick played on the superior instrument will sound better. Playing a more professional series guitar will generally be easier when comparing two a poorly set up guitar with cheap hardware. A good guitarist may be able to play the same exact lick on a cheap guitar that he played on the superior instrument no matter how perfectly similar he plays it both times it will always sound/feel better on the higher quality guitar with higher quality pickups your not gonna use a great guitar and swap it out for something with lesser hardware and get the same sound, no matter your playing expertise and ability you will not change the tonal differences that will be present from downgrading hardware.

      So its not that you cant get the tone...cause the tone was never on the guitar in the first place...its that you cant rely on it as is(thats why we mod those puppies) to go on stage or record cause you ll spend more time dealing with the guitar issues that your music issues....thats it.
