I was a security guard on a construction site. A gentleman pulled in and tried to go through the side entrance and I stopped him and told him he had to have a hard hat. He said he didnt and I explained he was on a active site and would have to go to the other gate and into the office and get a hard hat. Next thing I knew he pulled up twenty minutes later and asked me my name. All I thought to myself was oh dang here goes my job. After I told him he then explained who he was. He is the owner of a billion-dollar project being built right where I was standing. 🤣🤣 I was like okay I'm fired 🤣🤣 He thanked me for following the rules and said he wanted me at the front gate. He made me the new supervisor and every morning he would bring me coffee and specialty donuts down to the gate. One of the nicest men I ever worked for. 🤗🤗
Yeah it's not easy enforcing the rules and even when you get fired for it it still feels good. I had the fired experience lol with allied universal protection.
This has happened to me once. I was a receptionist and we had a code to get into the doors. An older gentleman shows up and tries to get in and I tell him I’m sorry sir I cannot just left you in. He was really nice about it and didn’t argue. Another employee noticed him and said oh I’m so sorry go ahead sir. They were stopped by the security staff, as the CEO had a large item with him, and the security guard asked him to show the papers that hes has the right to take the item with him. I work for a major US bank, I have personally met 2 of the executive VPs, one is now the president of the bank. They are all very nice people, multi millionaires, each one insists you call them by their first name, even the CEO. Probably the best place I have ever worked. Just because you are at the top, dont mean you look down on those who work for you.
As an inner city outreach worker- we would have A LOT to talk about regarding these awesome people hoarding more than they need while others starve AS I WATCH. Yeah but they use first names! So just delete the indentured servitude they have forced 99% of people into- and the crimes against the planet against humanity and on and on. Dude, you’re basically saying “the devil ain’t so bad, he let me lick Molly off his taint once, but let me call him ‘D’ “. I’ve been a millionaire multiple times and all I met were hollow superficial miserable people who are essentially sociopathic hoarders. I say sociopath because they cause suffering and do not care PLUS they HAVE the ability to lift hundreds out of suffering but want a 5th house instead. Also just do not bother trying to convince me of anything- I’m a behaviour analyst (yep like “Lie to Me”) as well, which led me to working with the vulnerable but point is, as a professional behaviour analyst and profiler retained by LEAs: the very rich people I met had clinically and pathological deficits in empathy and compassion. Also, red flag scores in very high Narcissism, very low Contentiousness and high psychopathy (re the MMPI indices). Basically, most of them were bad people, not all but most. There’s a behavioural reason for this. Those who have empathy hesitate before taking more than they know is their fair due portion whereas those without empathy jump on it and take take take without a blink of consideration of the Needs of others. Just “what I CAN get”- essentially they are thieves who follow the law of the land. That very American law is “Dibs” period. A battle royale of citizens just TAKING as much as they can from others, never mind ethics, all that matters is hoarding objects. (That this titanic waste of time “just happens” to involve the Elite TAKING your money by selling you more objects with some delusional theme song that if you finally get “enough stuff” then you’ll be happy… You won’t… (Behaviour analyst, psychologist, millionaire and outreach worker- I have insight if anyone wants to listen!) LIFE is 100% about the SUBJECTIVE. The EXPERIENCE of life. The EXPERIENCE of a new car, the EXPERIENCE of a mansion, the EXPERIENCE of a trophy partner. Everything which has ever happened, is happening now and will EVER happen is happening entirely within the subjective experience of the human experiencer. You buy for the EXPERIENCE not for the mass of plastic and metal. What if there was a way to gain equivalent (to material) rewards in life in SUBJECTIVE EXPERIENCE, otherwise called “reality”? What if YOU ARE IN CONTROL of your experience and can break your programming so sitting under a tree feeling the soft hum of the earth, hearing wind in the leaves and feeling sun on your cheek is ABSOLUTELY EQUAL TO BUYING A MASERATI? I can hear the laughing it makes me sad. You have the key to everything you want but the rich require us to not use it and instead pay them for the luxury of an experience. ITS A CON The greatest con in history. Also just going to point out that the current worldview, and operating philosophy is FAILING CATASTROPHICALLY! The materialist fetish system is leading us to our own extinction! IF THATS NOT A GOOD ENOUGH REASON TO CHANGE THEN THERE ISNT ONE! We have about 5 years before the inversion ends us. Please act now. In your life. Focus on people not things. Quiet your mind and listen to your heart, to the ocean of emotion within and around us. It is real vivid and a genius guide compared to the unnecessary narrative noise of the head brain. Our brain has been found to be distributed throughout the entire body. There is grey matter in our intestines- that’s why deep feelings make our insides tingle or warm, grey matter in our immune system (really it’s our life maintenance system not just for infections) in our solar plexus. It’s commonly accepted we have three “brains” really three nerve centers. The grey matter in our bellies is equivalent mass to the mind of a crow. The brain throughout our body is unmeasured, possibly outweighing our head-brain. Point is- it is not a simple “get thing = be happy” universe. That’s a motto we’ve been programmed to believe because it maintains the status quo and keeps making the rich richer- BUT IT IS NOT TRUE! You have the key to all the happiness a billion dollars would bring you but you yourself set up limitations, barriers and obstructions to happiness unless it is forced through material goods. So sad. You could have worlds. You forgot yourself and allow the least of us to act as our masters. #REVOLUTION

On the flip side I worked in a grocery store in Florida where the manager insisted on being called Mr Smith and he was livid if he had to be on a checkstand if we were busy, or do anything else he determined was beneath him. It's funny how everyone is commenting on how well he is doing his job and how every boss would love a receptionist like that, but what no one has noticed is how rude he actually was. First he looked down on her because of the way she dressed and immediately tagged her as a courier before looking annoyed when telling her to go around the back. The proper behavior to have here would have been to stop her and ask if there was something he could help her with and to tell her she has to register her name before being allowed inside with the proper attitude which should be respectful regardless of the way they dress or the job they do. Courier deserve respect too. First impression is important and that guy was rude. It's good that he doesn't allow just anyone in but the attitude is wrong.

When I went to my second job interview, I felt I did poorly, even though it was for a software engineer trainee position. As I was leaving, I held the door for a man whom I assumed was a network technician (he was wearing a gray t-shirt, blue jeans, and Caterpillar boots, while everyone else was in formal attire), and we went to the elevator together. He asked me how my interview went and a couple of questions about what I learned in school. I thought it was just small talk and told him I thought I did badly because there was a lot I hadn’t seen in college but I now know what to learn to be prepared for the next opportunity. I left the building feeling so unmotivated that I didn’t show up to another interview I had that day, and instead went straight home to get some sleep. The next day, I got a call from HR telling me I’d passed the first round and they wanted a second interview with me. Everything we talked about was related to the current position because I was going to be hired. Then, in my first week, I learned two things: I was the only one hired, and the guy I talked to in the elevator was actually the owner of the company

When I was in the Navy, a Nuke, there was a story going around that someone was literally up in the overhead pipes fixing something. Admiral Rickover, the godfather of the nuclear navy, was on board that day and when he heard of the issue, he went to see what was happening and see what was wrong. He climbed up into the overhead also and crowded the guy doing the repairs. The mechanic told him to get lost and he would be down in a minute. When he came down he saw that it was RIckover that he yelled at and also fell over, knowing his career was over. Rickover shook the man's hand and told him he was right to clear out he area if the other person was slowing the repair or risking the equipment. This attitude was encouraged in the nuclear navy. It made repairs faster and safer if everyone was honest about what was going on.

A man tries to come to military own land through my watchtower but he doesn't have any kind of military equipment(even tho they need to say password). So i yell he doesn't answer in the end i arrested him and called ready units. Turns out he's a Colonel in our base and i have never seen him because he was a marine. I got released 1 week earlier as a reward from my obligatory military period and, the colonel took me as his armed driver during my service because i arrested a civilian who can't answer the password.
Nah fr the first day in my college hostel I say a dude watering the plants and asked him to help me get to my room and help me carry some of my luggage to my room which was 2 floors up (cause the warden told us the baggage helpers will be out near the garden.) Dude smiled at me and lifted more than I asked him to and the next day I realised he was the college director during the introduction ceremony ,who comes to our hostel to take care of the garden once in a while.
I used to work in a company where security had to inspect our bags before entering and after exiting the building. Once I came to work with other employees and the CEO. The security inspected everyone's bag except the CEO. The CEO called out the security guard and said that "If you're going to do that to every employee, you should also inspect my bag, I work here too.".

(That this titanic waste of time “just happens” to involve the Elite TAKING your money by selling you more objects with some delusional theme song that if you finally get “enough stuff” then you’ll be happy…
You won’t…
(Behaviour analyst, psychologist, millionaire and outreach worker- I have insight if anyone wants to listen!)
LIFE is 100% about the SUBJECTIVE.
ITS A CON
The greatest con in history.
That’s a motto we’ve been programmed to believe because it maintains the status quo and keeps making the rich richer-
BUT IT IS NOT TRUE!
You have the key to all the happiness a billion dollars would bring you but you yourself set up limitations, barriers and obstructions to happiness unless it is forced through material goods.
So sad. You could have worlds.
You forgot yourself and allow the least of us to act as our masters.
#REVOLUTION
I used to be inside security for a large corporation that did a lot of contracting work for the U.S. DoD. Over a 24 year span I interacted with 1 corporate president and many VPs. They were all friendly to security, and the 3 retired Generals I met remembered my name and often stopped to chat when they entered or left my spaces.
On the flip side I worked in a grocery store in Florida where the manager insisted on being called Mr Smith and he was livid if he had to be on a checkstand if we were busy, or do anything else he determined was beneath him. We had words a few times, but when I left the company, it was the district frontend manager that offered me a positive referral to any of their stores in South Florida from Miami to key west.

You can always tell what someone is really like by how they treat someone who they dont benefit by being nice to them.
Yeah lol
This only shows that the employee is doing what he ought to do. Following companies rules. Not all employees know their employers. This happened to us also. My friend owns a bar at the top of the building where she also owns. When we went to the bar using the elevator, the guard said "you are not allowed" reffering to my friend who owns the place. We stared at him and what my friend did was, he called his husband who is upstairs and his husband called the guard with his walkie talkie and explained that he let her in. The guard was so ashamed and frightened, but my friend told him, it's ok because he did right and job well done.
it’s nice to know that employee is doing their job but failed to recognize the important people in the company.
Your friend's husband owns a bar.
Yeah but this guy in the vid was a bit rude assuming that she's a courier. The first step should always be confirming what they're here for.
He failed big time because of assumptions and rudeness.
I think he made an assumption 1st. He should have asked who she was 1st or "how can I help you". He was judging her based on appearance. He should have said " could I please get your name and who you are wishing to see". He also should know who the owner is.
Her smile make me smile. Beautiful ..
I kinda went through something like this. I was cleaning up a job site. This old man dressed kinda casual. Walks up and starts helping me clean. I was kinda shocked. I was real nice to him. After about 10/15 minutes I realized where I had seen him.In a 3'×5 ' gold framed painting in the lobby of the multi-million dollar build I was working in. I didn't say anything. Just stayed real nice, and professional. 2 or 3 days later he pulled up in a Porsche with like a 5k suit. He came and shook my hand. Told me thanks for all my hard work. Then personally asked for me every time he needed work done. One of the nicest men I have ever met or worked for. Very humble man.

Lmao he told an Admiral to kick rocks thats funny.
@SolFireYT And had every reason to do so. Positional authority vs Situational authority, best to follow the instruction of the man or woman handling any situation. Even when they're wrong, as long as it doesn't cause a safety concern, it's best to do as they say and let them face the consequence.

I've got my own story: I was a temp at engineering firm setting up the lunch buffet for a managers meeting, and one of the early arrivers started picking out food items from the buffet. I rushed over and said " No wait, we're not serving yet, just go sit down and we'll announce lunch!" He smiled, turned and walked away. A co-worker came over to me quickly and whispered in my ear "That's the CEO." I was horrified at myself, but so impressed by the humility of this executive. I'll never forget it.

I would like to point out that in a lot of these types of situations (not this one just others like it) the person who is "just doing there job" like he actually is, aren't in trouble or looked down on because they were doing their job, they're in trouble and seen as the bad person because of the attitude in which they do that job. Just because someone isn't supposed to be there doesn't mean you need to start off the conversation with a terrible attitude. For all you know they could be new, or they could have their own code (because receptionists are not security guards meant to stop people), or they could be your boss who you haven't met yet.

I had started working at a company manufactured glass/frames for skyscrapers and sports stadiums. One day I went outside to eat my lunch and sat on ground next to a nice older guy. I said one of these days when it's slow I'm gonna break down some old crates and pallets to make some benches. He said it sounded like a great idea. Finally a slow day arrived and instead of breaking crates/pallets down to toss in dumpster I built some benches. A foreman complained told me that I wasn't being paid to build benches. I said when it's slow what's it matter if I break down the stuff to make benches for others to sit outside on lunch or toss it in dumpster. It's then that the nice oldee guy appeared asking what the problem was. The foreman told him I was wasting company money building benches from scrap wood. It was then the nice older guy told the foreman that he gave me the greenlight. The foreman then walked off. It was then I found out that the nice older guy actually owned the company. I got into the lift together with an old man , he was well-dressed and eager to talk, he was accompanied by another man. Later it turned out that he was his bodyguard. He asked me what company I was working for, whether I liked working for the company and where I studied what education I had, we had a wonderful talk and after that he offered to give me a ride to the conference venue because he was going to the same conference. I happily agreed. When we arrived at the conference , other employees saw me with him they told me: “don’t you know.. it’s a famous Russian politician, he is from the Russian government….that was funny, because while I was chatting with him I had a feeling as if he was my old neighbour or somebody I had met before it didn’t even occur to me that he was famous
