I really love the characters that are based on the 4 alchemy stages specially albedo from Overlord and her sisters. Also albedo (overlord) her Defense is her best attribute while Albedo (genshin) scales off defense 😩 bsjabdhhahd

They could be planning for something different this winter, maybe something more related to Dain and the Abyss Order with this one considering it's working with the remains of a supposed god. Another possibility could be we hear of this in the desert instead. Red dog of hellfire and clay? The great red desert sand? It'd be a funny twist from Albedo's family appearing in a cold to a warm climate. The desert is a great hiding spot for someone as elusive as Gold to work on projects she doesn't want anyone to notice. But maybe that's all hopium for her reveal or more lore.

What if she left to to pursue the next step which is to use the heart to create a God... Like a real one with sentience... With Albedo being a representation of man, then the next logical step would be to create a God... And with the heart in many mythological contexts being concidered the "center of being" it would make a fitting starting point for such an undertaking... The desire to create a "true" God which isn't mechanical like what Dottore and Scaramouche are doing would definitely be considered "arregation" in the eyes of Celestia because if it succeeds that means that even they can be replaced...

I wonder what the last step from creating a god would be, if Rubedo isn't the last part of the process. A world-traveling interdimensional being like the Travelers? With gods, you can get hit or miss with what exactly the god is a god of if that makes sense. Can one really be a god if they don't have something they hold dominion over? That's like a royal without a kingdom.

In essence with the heart she could pretty much recreate the God the heart was from with all its powers and dominions or basically use the left over part of the God to "grow" a new one... Hmmmm... There has been the over all theme in the game of humans "overreaching" and dafying gods... In Monstadt, the people revolted against Decarabian... In Liyue, the humans defeated 2 God's (one of which they did on their own)... In Inazuma, defiance over a God's authority... In Sumeru, not accepting the God they have and instead creating their own similar to how in the Bible the Israelites made and worshiped the Golden Calf at the foot of Mount Sainai when they thought their prophet Moses had died... As for the last step, yeah perhaps a way to escape the world since in 1.1 it was revealed that the "stars are a lie"... I mean Alice is able to travel from world to world just like the Travelers... Really hoping we will get some information on Alfredo’s (Prototype Albedo) fate in the winter event. I’m becoming a bit concerned that there won’t be a dragonspine event this year since they are already rerunning Albedo.
So, this is not really related to the video, but just wanted to mention something that caught my attention in the 3.1 archon quest. Dottore mentions that Setaria was spied on by a listening device, something akin to a microchip. But we know that's not common to Teyvat's tech. The only one who has made a long distance audio sending device is Alice, as mentioned in the 2.8 . Am I getting on to something? Probably not, but it's fun to speculate like this either way.
I thought he might have fiddled a device which sent info through the Akasha, although why Nahida didn't know about it would be a question that needed answering. Pf course we can say that even Nahida isn't watching over all the Akasha terminals and their wearers at once but she might be able to check on Setaria. Although, knowing her story, that may not have crossed her mind
i always thought that albedo had the heart of naberius inside him. it mentions that his life was monotonous and simple before that, and i assumed that the heart was what gave him emotions
Ok, but you can not convince me that gold has some sinister plan for albedo. She doesn't care for mondstadt, or the archon, all things concitered. I think she put albedo there, knowing that he would sercome to curruption, and destroy it, hopefulling killing venti with it. Also, you can not convince me that she wasn't abusive, physiclly or virbally, concitering what she did in Khaenri'ah.
She used Durin for her own reasons despite how he felt, though Albedo speaks somewhat fondly of her and chooses to complete her last assignment. Maybe she's that "I'll only treat you nicely if you're a star student" to which Albedo was simply for not being a failure like the others before him. Tho obviously he wasn't enough as she wants to reach her ultimate goal of an ultimate lifeform.
Another interesting thing is that in a fairly recent trailer Enjou called Dvalin a Vishap, or more specifically, I think he called it a "sky vishap"? But Durin was created by Gold so is Durin still considered a sky vishap or was just based off of the design of a sky vishap? What functional differences are there between Durin and sky vishaps?
Vishaps are dragon kin and it's probably an ancient term used before the word dragon came to be. Durin, being the artificially created lifeform he was, most certainly had to be designed based off a vishap as opposed to being one. So ig whatever a word meaning "dragon homunculus" would be ig?
“Dragons” in Genshin see to be somewhat interchangeable with “Vishaps,” particularly extremely large/strong Vishaps (Azhdaha, Dvalin, the Seven Sovereigns, etc. have been referred to as both Vishaps and dragons at some point). As far as I can tell, “dragon” is more of a “description,” whereas “Vishap” is a biological classification. So yes, Durin is probably a “vishap” in the same sense that the Rifthounds are “wolves” and Albedo is “human.” He was clearly modeled after them, at least.
Great video! I will say though, the notion that the different pronunciation being intentional in order to separate him from the name of the alchemy thing seems unlikely since the words are Latin, meaning that they were pronounced differently to begin with, and Albedo's name is actually slightly closer to the original pronunciation. I know it was a very small passing remark in the video, but I just thought it was worth mentioning.
I doubt thus has anything directly to do with him, but it kind of reminds me of scaramouche. Not necessarily in his personal lore, but in the fact he is essentially like albedo, an artificial human created AFTER the cataclysm. Meant to be an artificial shell for a dead god. After your greatest creation is an artificial human, the natural next stage would be to create a god. I’m not 100% caught up on this patch, and I don’t think it would fit timeline or symbolically, but it would have been an interesting twist if Albedo’s creator was involved in all of the artificial bodies we see in inazuma, instead of the shogun twins randomly being able to craft them which doesn’t have much to do with their skills, beliefs or abilities besides the fact they are archons and we don’t really understand archon powers very well so there is nothing pointing to them not being able to create artificial bodies or life.
It's funnier when you realize too that Albedo's BiS artifact set is the Husk, which hold Scara's lore. They def did that on purpose, showing the polarities alongside the similarities. A "synthetic" human designed by a mortal and one designed by a god. Both somewhat cold parents, but both had different enough goals in mind that created different outcomes for their sons. I do find the whole "Electro Archons just know how to create high-grade god-like technology" really interesting, but ig it fits Ei's narrative with wanting time to stand still. Puppets don't age and can't fully be eroded the same way organic beings are, they're fitting for years or work to be done.

I wonder if Alice and Gold are somehow related if that's the case. But Klee has a dad I think, though not much is known about him, so she's probably not the same as Albedo and his brothers.
Here's a crack theory: Rubedo = Reddening. Klee = Red. What if the reason why Albedo is so attached to Klee is because she's a sort of symbol of the next logical step in his alchemical "evolution"?

I thought the other "Albedo" was made before our Albedo? They said he survived being in the dragon's belly. That means that he was swallowed as a failure. He could still very well be created after Albedo but I thought he was created before and was the only living "big brother" Rhinedottr unintentionally left him with. I guess that - between the other "Albedo" and Klee - makes Albedo the middle child. If Alice doesn't succeed in adopting Diluc like she threatened to.
What if Naberius is the true name of the Scarlet King (King Deshret)? Hear me out. Rubedo means reddening, and scarlet is a synonym of the color red. Also, the Desert Area of Sumeru is clearly inspired by Ancient Egypt. And it just so happens that in Ancient Egypt it was custom to cut out the organs of the deceased and place them in containers, including the heart. One could also argue that Anubis, the egyptian god of death, mummification, embalming, the afterlife, cemeteries, tombs, and the Underworld that is usually depicted as a canine (usually a jackal) or with a canine head could have something to do with this. Especially because it is his task to weigh the hearts of the deceased.
Oh wait you could be onto something here. This had crackhead levels at first but it adds up to my original thought of us running into Albedo's new brother in the desert. That'd be a freaky hybrid to witness for sure!

For a while I kind of wondered if Gold's creations were based off of Loki's kids. Theres fenris fenrir the wolf, plus I think he had another kid who was turned into a wolf, Hel ruler of the underworld, Jormungand the serpent, Sleipnir the horse, and in the Poetic Edda its mentioned that Loki found a half burned heart of an unnamed evil woman, ate it then gave birth to the evils that plague man. As time goes on I'm not sure how much water this holds, Jormungand was big and so was Durin but he was a dragon. But still it's an interesting thought.
When you said "Clay" i heard Klee... Klee is the rubedo of Alice who seek the same things as Rhinedottir? Or maybe Albedo is concidered as much the child of Alice as Klee? When we think of it we've never seen how Klee craft her bomb. Maybe they're made of explosive Clay like Deidara do, but instead of chakra, it's infused of Pyro element. Tell me i'm crazy. Halp.
I mean lots of blue or cryo characters have similar colour palettes to eula also his colours are overall slightly greener/more turquoise and he’s kinda expected to be a self important guy because he literally cloned himself multiple times among other stuff that is not easy to do haha. also I thought he came from sumeru? maybe im wrong there I mostly hyperfixated on him currently and not too much into where he’s from n stuff :0! Though considering he was run out of his hometown for being a madman, I imagine he'd want a name change to maybe help a bit with his reputation.

Albedo having the order of operations for the creation of the magnum opus wrong might well be a rather glaring clue. As is said here, the consequences of messing such a process up could well be "catastrophic to the degree that an Archon would need to intervene". One might even describe such an event as Cataclysmic.
Seems like we are dealing with a Xenosaga situation here where ultimately all life and existence is the product of two flawed sentient beings having an argument about the preferred coffee brewing process or some nonsense.
So I have a small theory about why Rhinedottr created Albedo, it relates to the alchemical process to create the philosopher's stone. So traditionally the stone is something used to perform an equivalent exchange, but right here there's an issue, Hoyoverse's old slogan "Tech Otakus save the world", they are heavily inspired by anime so why not use the Full Metal Alchemist rules for the stone. Something that harnesses the power of human souls for unmatched alchemical power (its a 20+ year old manga people I'm not worried about spoilers). Rhinedottr's end goal with Albedo may be this stone, but here's where the theory part really kicks in, what she seeks is the Core of Reason, or at least its power. An object capable of being used by anyone to create anything. In 1954, in both GGZ and Honkai, the first Honkai eruption occurred ending the lives of 300,000 people in Berlin. In Honkai, those 300,000 people now lay within the core of reason, similar to FMA's philosopher stone. I'm not saying Rhinedottr created the cataclysm, but...what if she took the opportunity, harvested the leylines for those souls in the aftermath of the cataclysm, using it to create an object that could very well make her a god beyond gods. I say we have proof she knows what she's doing with souls, Albedo, in the Hoyoverse, you cannot, under any circumstance, create a truly sentient artifical being without a soul, no clone, no machine, no humunculus. Kinda like human transmutation in FMA actually. In this way Rhinedottr may be the equivalent of Kevin, a threat that was always there, lurking, before it seized power unlike any other seen in the world.

I am starting to get the feeling after we travel all of Tevat, meet all the gods, and see all the lands, we will find most of our final answers back in the land we started in. It seems most of the elements of the end of the story are already there.
The 4 stages are also the 4 colours that the element Phosphorus can have. Phosphorus was also a god called "the Morning Star", he was paired with Hesperus, a god called "the Evening Star". In reality they are both the planet Venus, Phosphorus is the appearance of Venus in the morning, while Hesperus is the appearance of Venus in the evening. The Babylonians realized that these two stars were actually just one star that alternates in two phases and chose to call it Istar, like their goddess of love and war. What if "We will be reunited" means that Aether and Lumine need to literally fuse back into one being?
Phosphorus and Hesperus latin names are Lucifer and Vesper. When romans discovered it was the same star, they gradually forgot about these two deities and instead started worshipping Mercury, the messenger of the gods. Aether is already named after another god though, who has a twin sister named Hemera while Phosphorus and Hesperus were twin brothers.

If Rhinedottr is a survivor like Dainsleif, who is not affected like hilichurls are, could she have beliefs related to the creation you are talking about? Cerberus was a guardian, a protector. What did Khaenriahns need? A protector, but not a god. What if her goal is to create an artificial protector as powerful as a god but not godlike? What if this motivation is the reason Rubedo would be the last stage if succesfull?

I know this was about albedo but lemme ask this question: how old is kaeya? He was abandoned by his dad in monstadt to carry out this final mission for the homeland and he and Diluc grew up together from kids/preteens so how has kaeya “aged” ??? Diluc isn’t stupid and he would’ve noticed “hmm… I’ve know kaeya for x amount of years and he’s never gotten any older” and he would’ve known something was up.
What do you mean Kaeya was a little kid when he was abandoned by his bio dad, he grew up with Diluc and they both spent their childhood at the Winery. Did you think Kaeya was abandoned at the Winery as a fully grown adult!?? From the webtoon & previous lore Diluc & Jean are now in their mid/late 20's (nearly 30) and Kaeya is mid 20's. (Kaeya is the younger brother)
Kaeya is not ancient. He’s merely a descendant of the Albreich Clan who were basically regents looking after Khaenriah whenever the Royal Family weren’t up to the job.

That means he doesn't have the same curse that turned all the other Khanrians into hillichurls that will eventually die. The whole mystery with Kaeya is that it doesn't seem the curse has affected him. Perhaps as regent Prince he is cursed with something else? Or maybe he is immortal too just that it will start affecting him as he gets older? Or perhaps he isn't even fully human. Albedo is nearly 500 and doesn't age. Alice is even older than that. La Signora was alive for at least 100 years and didn't age. Simply we don't know what's going on with Kaeya and we probably won't until Traveller reaches the Khanrian nation chapter. There's lots of theories online but I think his human but there's something in his blood that causes him to heal and that's why his the nations last hope. (A cure perhaps?)
Durin was (at least in his mind) a child-like being who only wanted to play with Dvalin and Venti, believing Gold sent him to Mond to boast of his homeland with good intentions. Even in death he still had love in his soul. On the outside, it's hard to say if he got corrupted or was just made corrupted as a defected being with impurities.

In Liyue, the humans defeated 2 God's (one of which they did on their own)... In Inazuma, defiance over a God's authority... In Sumeru, not accepting the God they have and instead creating their own similar to how in the Bible the Israelites made and worshiped the Golden Calf at the foot of Mount Sainai when they thought their prophet Moses had died... As for the last step, yeah perhaps a way to escape the world since in 1.1 it was revealed that the "stars are a lie"... I mean Alice is able to travel from world to world just like the Travelers... Hmmm...
If we got a character that's burst turned them into a familiar/beast like Fischl or maybe allowed them to ride a beast, that would be dope, because honestly I can't see the horses ever coming back from the north.

So, this is not really related to the video, but just wanted to mention something that caught my attention in the 3.1 archon quest.
Dottore mentions that Setaria was spied on by a listening device, something akin to a microchip. But we know that's not common to Teyvat's tech. The only one who has made a long distance audio sending device is Alice, as mentioned in the 2.8 .
Am I getting on to something? Probably not, but it's fun to speculate like this either way.

i always thought that albedo had the heart of naberius inside him. it mentions that his life was monotonous and simple before that, and i assumed that the heart was what gave him emotions
Ok, but you can not convince me that gold has some sinister plan for albedo. She doesn't care for mondstadt, or the archon, all things concitered. I think she put albedo there, knowing that he would sercome to curruption, and destroy it, hopefulling killing venti with it. Also, you can not convince me that she wasn't abusive, physiclly or virbally, concitering what she did in Khaenri'ah.
She used Durin for her own reasons despite how he felt, though Albedo speaks somewhat fondly of her and chooses to complete her last assignment.
Maybe she's that "I'll only treat you nicely if you're a star student" to which Albedo was simply for not being a failure like the others before him. Tho obviously he wasn't enough as she wants to reach her ultimate goal of an ultimate lifeform.

Another interesting thing is that in a fairly recent trailer Enjou called Dvalin a Vishap, or more specifically, I think he called it a "sky vishap"? But Durin was created by Gold so is Durin still considered a sky vishap or was just based off of the design of a sky vishap? What functional differences are there between Durin and sky vishaps?
Vishaps are dragon kin and it's probably an ancient term used before the word dragon came to be. Durin, being the artificially created lifeform he was, most certainly had to be designed based off a vishap as opposed to being one.

“Dragons” in Genshin see to be somewhat interchangeable with “Vishaps,” particularly extremely large/strong Vishaps (Azhdaha, Dvalin, the Seven Sovereigns, etc. have been referred to as both Vishaps and dragons at some point). As far as I can tell, “dragon” is more of a “description,” whereas “Vishap” is a biological classification.
So yes, Durin is probably a “vishap” in the same sense that the Rifthounds are “wolves” and Albedo is “human.” He was clearly modeled after them, at least.

Great video! I will say though, the notion that the different pronunciation being intentional in order to separate him from the name of the alchemy thing seems unlikely since the words are Latin, meaning that they were pronounced differently to begin with, and Albedo's name is actually slightly closer to the original pronunciation. I know it was a very small passing remark in the video, but I just thought it was worth mentioning.

I doubt thus has anything directly to do with him, but it kind of reminds me of scaramouche. Not necessarily in his personal lore, but in the fact he is essentially like albedo, an artificial human created AFTER the cataclysm. Meant to be an artificial shell for a dead god. After your greatest creation is an artificial human, the natural next stage would be to create a god. I’m not 100% caught up on this patch, and I don’t think it would fit timeline or symbolically, but it would have been an interesting twist if Albedo’s creator was involved in all of the artificial bodies we see in inazuma, instead of the shogun twins randomly being able to craft them which doesn’t have much to do with their skills, beliefs or abilities besides the fact they are archons and we don’t really understand archon powers very well so there is nothing pointing to them not being able to create artificial bodies or life.
It's funnier when you realize too that Albedo's BiS artifact set is the Husk, which hold Scara's lore. They def did that on purpose, showing the polarities alongside the similarities. A "synthetic" human designed by a mortal and one designed by a god. Both somewhat cold parents, but both had different enough goals in mind that created different outcomes for their sons.
I do find the whole "Electro Archons just know how to create high-grade god-like technology" really interesting, but ig it fits Ei's narrative with wanting time to stand still. Puppets don't age and can't fully be eroded the same way organic beings are, they're fitting for years or work to be done.

I wonder if Alice and Gold are somehow related if that's the case. But Klee has a dad I think, though not much is known about him, so she's probably not the same as Albedo and his brothers.

I thought the other "Albedo" was made before our Albedo? They said he survived being in the dragon's belly. That means that he was swallowed as a failure. He could still very well be created after Albedo but I thought he was created before and was the only living "big brother" Rhinedottr unintentionally left him with. I guess that - between the other "Albedo" and Klee - makes Albedo the middle child. If Alice doesn't succeed in adopting Diluc like she threatened to.

Hear me out. Rubedo means reddening, and scarlet is a synonym of the color red. Also, the Desert Area of Sumeru is clearly inspired by Ancient Egypt. And it just so happens that in Ancient Egypt it was custom to cut out the organs of the deceased and place them in containers, including the heart.
One could also argue that Anubis, the egyptian god of death, mummification, embalming, the afterlife, cemeteries, tombs, and the Underworld that is usually depicted as a canine (usually a jackal) or with a canine head could have something to do with this. Especially because it is his task to weigh the hearts of the deceased.
Oh wait you could be onto something here. This had crackhead levels at first but it adds up to my original thought of us running into Albedo's new brother in the desert. That'd be a freaky hybrid to witness for sure!

Theres fenris fenrir the wolf, plus I think he had another kid who was turned into a wolf, Hel ruler of the underworld, Jormungand the serpent, Sleipnir the horse, and in the Poetic Edda its mentioned that Loki found a half burned heart of an unnamed evil woman, ate it then gave birth to the evils that plague man.
As time goes on I'm not sure how much water this holds, Jormungand was big and so was Durin but he was a dragon.
But still it's an interesting thought.

Albedo having the order of operations for the creation of the magnum opus wrong might well be a rather glaring clue. As is said here, the consequences of messing such a process up could well be "catastrophic to the degree that an Archon would need to intervene". One might even describe such an event as Cataclysmic.

Seems like we are dealing with a Xenosaga situation here where ultimately all life and existence is the product of two flawed sentient beings having an argument about the preferred coffee brewing process or some nonsense.
So I have a small theory about why Rhinedottr created Albedo, it relates to the alchemical process to create the philosopher's stone. So traditionally the stone is something used to perform an equivalent exchange, but right here there's an issue, Hoyoverse's old slogan "Tech Otakus save the world", they are heavily inspired by anime so why not use the Full Metal Alchemist rules for the stone. Something that harnesses the power of human souls for unmatched alchemical power (its a 20+ year old manga people I'm not worried about spoilers).
Rhinedottr's end goal with Albedo may be this stone, but here's where the theory part really kicks in, what she seeks is the Core of Reason, or at least its power. An object capable of being used by anyone to create anything. In 1954, in both GGZ and Honkai, the first Honkai eruption occurred ending the lives of 300,000 people in Berlin. In Honkai, those 300,000 people now lay within the core of reason, similar to FMA's philosopher stone.
I'm not saying Rhinedottr created the cataclysm, but...what if she took the opportunity, harvested the leylines for those souls in the aftermath of the cataclysm, using it to create an object that could very well make her a god beyond gods. I say we have proof she knows what she's doing with souls, Albedo, in the Hoyoverse, you cannot, under any circumstance, create a truly sentient artifical being without a soul, no clone, no machine, no humunculus. Kinda like human transmutation in FMA actually.
In this way Rhinedottr may be the equivalent of Kevin, a threat that was always there, lurking, before it seized power unlike any other seen in the world.

I am starting to get the feeling after we travel all of Tevat, meet all the gods, and see all the lands, we will find most of our final answers back in the land we started in. It seems most of the elements of the end of the story are already there.
The 4 stages are also the 4 colours that the element Phosphorus can have.

Phosphorus and Hesperus latin names are Lucifer and Vesper. When romans discovered it was the same star, they gradually forgot about these two deities and instead started worshipping Mercury, the messenger of the gods.
Aether is already named after another god though, who has a twin sister named Hemera while Phosphorus and Hesperus were twin brothers.

so this is just my theory about susbedo and why he was abandoned. susbedo has reached the 4th phase he is perfected but he lacks any flaws because he is perfect if gold was trying to make humans she failed beacuse humans are anything but perfect so she offs susbedo via durin who was in the "nigredo" stage and tried again with albedo this time giving him a defect a flaw so that when he is left by gold he can expierence emotions have friends so he can expierence whats it like to be human so that when he eventually reaches the 4th stage he can be a true human one with flaws but immortal

If Rhinedottr is a survivor like Dainsleif, who is not affected like hilichurls are, could she have beliefs related to the creation you are talking about? Cerberus was a guardian, a protector. What did Khaenriahns need? A protector, but not a god.
What if her goal is to create an artificial protector as powerful as a god but not godlike?

He was abandoned by his dad in monstadt to carry out this final mission for the homeland and he and Diluc grew up together from kids/preteens so how has kaeya “aged” ??? Diluc isn’t stupid and he would’ve noticed “hmm… I’ve know kaeya for x amount of years and he’s never gotten any older” and he would’ve known something was up.

From the webtoon & previous lore Diluc & Jean are now in their mid/late 20's (nearly 30) and Kaeya is mid 20's. (Kaeya is the younger brother)
Kaeya is not ancient. He’s merely a descendant of the Albreich Clan who were basically regents looking after Khaenriah whenever the Royal Family weren’t up to the job.

@@gloriousgravynugs well yeah but Dainselif is cursed with immortality for failing to protect the royal family. That means he doesn't have the same curse that turned all the other Khanrians into hillichurls that will eventually die. The whole mystery with Kaeya is that it doesn't seem the curse has affected him. Perhaps as regent Prince he is cursed with something else? Or maybe he is immortal too just that it will start affecting him as he gets older? Or perhaps he isn't even fully human. Albedo is nearly 500 and doesn't age. Alice is even older than that. La Signora was alive for at least 100 years and didn't age.
Simply we don't know what's going on with Kaeya and we probably won't until Traveller reaches the Khanrian nation chapter. There's lots of theories online but I think his human but there's something in his blood that causes him to heal and that's why his the nations last hope. (A cure perhaps?)

Durin was (at least in his mind) a child-like being who only wanted to play with Dvalin and Venti, believing Gold sent him to Mond to boast of his homeland with good intentions. Even in death he still had love in his soul.
On the outside, it's hard to say if he got corrupted or was just made corrupted as a defected being with impurities.
