I was watching you while I was doing an order that I have. I must say I really appreciate that you also have things that go wrong. I thought it was just me! What other videos and they are always perfect! Sarah
Now that made me laugh. Yes, I really was glad that some mistakes are made doing video's. There is no perfect world, and mistakes are learning lessons and human nature. Have a great Holiday Season!
Great tutorial! I was going to attempt to embroider my first sweatshirt. I’m so glad I came across your video. I am happy to know about what stabilizers to use and placing the design and sweatshirt upside down! Thank-you for sharing! 😊
Great Tutorial. I'm getting ready to do my 1st sweatshirt on my new 10 needle. This has been so helpful. Could you post what kind of shaver you used? Thank you
Good Morning! This is the trimmer I use. amzn.to/3uLBye5 It might be a little pricey of an investment, but in my opinion it saves a lot of time when cleaning up. Not only that, I use it to remove stitches from clothing or hats when a stitch out has gone wrong, and it does happen sometimes. You might find a cheaper trimmer, but to be honest I have tried a few and this by far has worked the best. Good luck on your new machine, it is so exciting to get going on it. Wishing you great success. If you have any more questions, please feel free to connect back to me. Have a great day!
Althogh i will be free motion quilting on a sweatshirt, i appreciate all your preparation stages. You give me the cofidence to giveit a go. Ive been thinking about it for a while now.😂
Thanks for the lesson on stabilizer. What size and type needle (ballpoint?) do you use on a sweatshirt? And, what fiber content do you recommend? Cotton, polyester or a blend? Thanks!
No, mine have NEVER done that. I do not prewash my shirts or sweatshirts either. I use cut away with the wash away and water soluble on top. Try it, I am more than positive your results will be just as I said.

Thank you! Hoping to get started again. I unfortunately had many health issues this past Year. Doing good and ready to jump back into the saddle. LOL

Thank you so much! After watching this, I got brave enough to embroider a sweatshirt.
Marilyn, thank you so much! I am so glad the video inspired you. Everyone is Leary when starting out. Stay confident. You got this!
Marilyn, where did you get that design? You did an excellent job!
@@pamelalewis9192 it is a CD from OESD
Hello! I am not sure if your post was for me or Marilyn. However, if for me, i designed and digitized this design myself. Thank you!

You are so welcome!

Good Afternoon! I use a 75/11 Universal. I did the sweatshirt in the video on a Comfort Colors Sweatshirt. 80% Cotton 20% Poly.
What hoops are these? Great video
These are Hoop Master Magnetic Hoops. Thank you, glad you enjoyed!
When you embroider in a small font, do use 60 weight thread and smaller needles? BTW love this tutorial!
Yes and yes
So when you wash the shirt and the wash away under stitches washes away, the stitches still stand up a little and don't sink into the shirt?
No, mine have NEVER done that. I do not prewash my shirts or sweatshirts either. I use cut away with the wash away and water soluble on top. Try it, I am more than positive your results will be just as I said.
@@debrakrause9174 great, thank you

Hi Brenda! I am not sure what lights you are referring to. Thanks.

What's the purpose of using a mesh cutaway and tear away? Is it possible to just use one or the other or it has to be a combination?
Got it. I replayed your video.
