- A Day in the Life of an Optometrist
Welcome to the optometrist’s office! It’s always a fun time here - if you don’t mind long lines and lots of people. Today, we’re looking at what a typical day is like at an eye clinic. From checking vision to prescribing lenses, it’s all in a day

It is so good to see you here, Shimon. I recall college days with you. Best of luck and keep in touch!
Good old days!
Good luck Doc.
thank you
Awesome vid! Im looking into optometry and podiatry? Anything you recommend to make a good decision about career path?
I am biased towards Optometry. Very sorry for late reply.
Nice clinic kuya 🫶🏻
Hello, musta?
Hello po, can I ask how you also became an optometrist and opened your own practice po? I’m an aspiring optometrist po here in Canada. Thank you kuya 😇
very sorry for late reply. Crazy RUclips did not notify me that there was a lot of comments already. To answer your question, if you would like to get into optometry you would need a 3 years undergraduate before you can apply for optometry school. But I have to be honest it would be very hard to get in since there are only 2 schools/universities that offer optometry, Waterloo and another in Quebec (don't know the name). Since one is in French, then the rest of Canada is trying to go into Waterloo and they accept a very limited number of student, less than 200 last time I know
Sir may nagdidirect hire po ba ng Optometrist or Optical assistant na willing to train or further study?
there is no direct hire for optometrist because you need to be licensed in Canada to be hired. Regarding optical assistant, no one really directly hire optical assistants and opticians are also a licensed profession here.
where do you live . how much do you earn , is it enough for a decent life
I live in Toronto, Ontario Canada. I would say I have a decent life, though I am a pharmacist too and own my now clinic and pharmacy here.
Optometrists aren't doctors 😀
Misleading people
I am actually license in both Pharmacy and Optometry. I really have to finish the second part of the the story. How I became an Optometrist
