Resident Evil 3 is a survival horror video game that is played from an over-the-shoulder, third-person perspective. Although the player controls Resident Evil protagonist Jill Valentine through most of the game, certain sections require the player to control a supporting character, Carlos Oliveira, for short periods. The player must explore the environment to open doors, climb up ladders, and pick up items. When an item is collected, it is stored in an inventory that can be accessed at any time. Items in the inventory can be used, examined, and combined to solve puzzles and gain access to areas that were previously inaccessible. The player may also pick up maps to reveal unexplored sections in the game's automap, which shows the player's current position and indicates if an area still has items to collect. Cutscenes with occasional quick time events are featured at regular intervals to advance the story.
On September 28, 1998, 24 hours prior to the events of Resident Evil 2, most of Raccoon City's citizens have mutated as the result of an outbreak caused by the T-virus, a mutagenic virus secretly developed by the pharmaceutical company Umbrella. Jill Valentine, former member of the Raccoon Police Department's Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.), is attacked in her apartment by an intelligent bioweapon known as the Nemesis T-Type, programmed by Umbrella to silence surviving S.T.A.R.S. members. Briefly accompanied by fellow S.T.A.R.S. officer Brad Vickers before he is killed by zombies, Jill evades Nemesis and is then rescued by Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (U.B.C.S.) mercenary Carlos Oliveira. Carlos explains that he and his group of surviving U.B.C.S. mercenaries-Mikhail Victor, Tyrell Patrick, and Nicholai Ginovaef-have set up subway trains to evacuate civilians from the city. Jill helps them reactivate power to the subway and departs on a train with Nicholai and Mikhail, while Carlos and Tyrell remain behind to find Dr. Nathaniel Bard, an Umbrella scientist who may have developed a vaccine for the T-virus.
After Mikhail expresses his suspicions towards Nicholai over how their platoon was ambushed by zombies, Nemesis attacks the train and kills the civilians. Nicholai then betrays and locks Jill and Mikhail out, with the latter sacrificing himself by detonating an explosive that derails the train. Meanwhile, reaching the police department on the notion that Bard is at the S.T.A.R.S. office, Carlos and Tyrell learn the scientist took refuge at a nearby hospital. Carlos is then contacted by Jill, who survived the crash while being pursued by a mutating Nemesis. She manages to escape Nemesis, only to lose consciousness after the monster infects her with the T-virus. Carlos finds Jill half a day later and takes her to the hospital, finding Bard murdered along with the scientist's video entry revealing that Umbrella's board is wiping out the vaccines and any evidence connecting the company to the T-Virus. After Carlos retrieves Bard's vaccine and administers it to Jill, Tyrell discovers that the U.S. government plans to destroy Raccoon City in a missile strike to eradicate the T-virus infestation. Carlos travels to a lab underneath the hospital to find more vaccines, while Tyrell tries to contact whoever he can to prevent the missile strike.

The opening moments and area of this game are some of the most photorealistic and tense Ive ever experienced. I keep on replaying it whenever I get new A/V tech just for this alone... Its a shame they did not include a few more levels from the original...
I like how it implies Jill was in that hospital bed the entire time with a grenade launcher on her back. It's great lumbar support! XD

I was hoping to see more Nemesis in this remake, especially in the RPD, just imagine hearing him running after you in the corridors, that would have been super terrifying!

I appreciate this walkthrough but so far the only thing I dislike is how much ammo you waste when the enemies fall to the ground to try and kill them. Wouldn't have been smarter to use the knife to finish them when their on the ground?

Hey at what bitrate do you record and edit your videos, sir?
I record at 80mb and then it depends on the length of the video to what bit rate i'll render them at. This video here was rendered at 20mb per second. RUclips has a 120gb limit on uploads so for longer videos, you have to reduce the bit rate so the file size is under 120gb

I prefer the Remake of 2 as well. This RE3-Version here feels more than a Reboot instead of a Remake. They changed so much from the Original, it´s basically another Game.
I heard that this game was a letdown because some content from the original was cut.

Depends what you like in a game. If you enjoy more killing and less puzzles than re3 the best. If you love to run all over the place in a game looking for clues than re2 the game for you. Personally I enjoy the action in re3 more than I do part 2
Resident evil games really would be awesome. But how many shots to the head to takes down a zombie is ridiculous. I’ve watched them unload a full mag into a zombie head to get it to drop. Whoever idea that was to make them that resilient wasn’t thinking rational

the RE2/RE3 upgrades look the same,other than some slightly better textures and resolution. not worth $40 or even upgrading for free. capcom is a joke
Since Shinji Mikami is no longer working on RE games, don't expect any good RE game anymore. Specially, this game was the worst remake.
