Yamaha should've left the R series alone. It was fine as is but all we can do now is hope the R9 is different than what the rumors say. Also, ENJOYING YOUR WEATHER I SEE!!

There’s no way it’ll rev to 16k. I think we’d be lucky if they increase to 12.5k or 13k. The R1 only revs to 14K I think and those cylinders are smaller than what’s in the CP3.

Ya it’d need to be reworked to rev that high and bigger pistons keep good rev habits, it’s increasing stroke is what you don’t want! And the r1 has different power. It’s designed for torque, but rpm is how you make a 100 hp motor very fast! they have the know how because the r6 had 18k redline, and Ducati has the v4 panigale revving to 16500! it’s not impossible and it’d be how they make this r9 actually great

@@Lostonabike unfortunately it looks like they didn’t do anything to the engine but modify the fueling and change the ECU mapping. I’ve never ridden a bike with a CP3 engine but this certainly doesn’t excite me given I’ve already got an older R6 with as much top end power. I’m sure the R9 would be easier to ride on the street but everyone buying a sport bike likes to pretend they’re going to take it to the track every weekend.

@@waltergoosed to me it’s about having the most performance your money can buy the best handling the best precision and yes, a lot of power not because I want to use it all but just to have it. Nobody buys a Lamborghini or a Ferrari planning on going max speed on the street every time that they can, all have affectively done is make a 900 cc super sport that is going to get demolished by the bike. It’s supposed to replace your r6 Will wax this thing if I wanted the technology, the new CBR 600rr would be my choice

R7 and R9 are the abomination of bikes, simply put.

I don’t think they’re abominations I just don’t like Yamahas most super Supersport after the r1 is the r3 only those 2 are cc to cc Supersport but Yamahas marketing team is good enough to have people happy for a lot less
