- Garou and Tatsumaki are two of the strongest characters in the One Punch Man manga and a fight between them would no doubt be a spectacle to watch. This matchup hasn't been covered nearly as much as I would expect it to be, so today I am here to give my thoughts on it.

One-Punch Man (Japanese: ワンパンマン, Hepburn: Wanpanman) is a Japanese superhero manga series created by One. It tells the story of Saitama, a superhero who, because he can defeat any opponent with a single punch, grows bored from a lack of challenge. One wrote the original webcomic manga version in early 2009.
A digital manga remake, illustrated by Yusuke Murata, began publication on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website in June 2012. Its chapters are periodically compiled and published into individual tankōbon volumes. As of November 2022, 27 volumes have been released. In North America, Viz Media has licensed the remake manga for English language release and has serialized it in its Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine.
An anime adaptation produced by Madhouse was broadcast in Japan from October to December 2015. A second season, produced by J.C.Staff, was broadcast from April to July 2019. A third season has been announced. Licensed in North America by Viz Media, it premiered in the United States on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block in July 2016. The second season premiered on the block in October 2019.
By June 2012, the original webcomic manga surpassed 7.9 million hits. By April 2020, the manga remake had sold over 30 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
The Monster Association consists of around 500 monsters, about 30 of which are disaster level Demon or higher. The Boss (ボス, Bosu) is the Monster King, Orochi, although the organization is actually overseen by the Military Advisor (参さん謀ぼう, Sanbō), Gyoro Gyoro (who is actually a puppet of Psykos, the creator of Orochi). Directly below them in ranks are the Executives (幹かん部ぶ, Kanbu), also known as Cadres (referred to as Leaders in the Viz Media), who are specially promoted by Gyoro Gyoro.[2]
The Monster Association is founded on the belief that one monster alone will eventually fall, but all of them together can defeat the heroes. Many monsters believe that they are stronger than the heroes; Gyoro Gyoro has to remind them that this will be their downfall,[3] though sometimes he uses this to his advantage.
The goal of the Monster Association is to end the Hero Association and create a world of monsters ruled by Monster King Orochi.[6] However, most members only joined forces for the former and do not view Orochi as their king,[7] but they do acknowledge his great power.[8] The plan is to lure the Hero Association into a decisive showdown.[9] There are three primary objectives that are required to make this plan feasible:[10]

I think there’s one tatsumaki feat you forgot to add and that is she managed to lift saitama a few feet off the ground

Great vid! Another piece of supporting evidence for Tats beating at least perfected first Garou is in chapter 132 Genos describes Psykos-Orochi’s power by saying “The energy scale… It can not be measured?!”, but in chapter 155 he states that he can actually feel and quantify the energy radiating from PF Garou (all though this could be taken with a grain of salt as Genos is a pretty terrible power scaler)

@@S0.Ahnaf_We don't really know how much stronger. Both of them died to a regular punch from Saitama, so the difference probably wasn't that large (Carnage Kabuto, Carnage mode being mid-high dragon and Goketsu being high dragon since he still scales way below Orochi)

@@syenous2454 You can scale other characters and monsters to Saitama's regular punches. Yes, he holds back sometimes. Everytime he punches regular humans he doesn't use the same force he used to destroy a meteor. But you can't measure most of the times how MUCH he holds back.
As much as I know, Saitama can perfectly measure the ammount of strenght needed to kill or knockout someone.
For example, monsters like Elder Centipede and Evil Natural Ocen required Saitama using a serious punch to be defeated. That means they should scale above many monsters (and makes sense, literally nobody could've defeated both of them besides Tatsumaki and Blast).
Now, in the case of Goketsu and Carnage Mode Kabuto, it's a hard one. Both of them could've defeated Genos in a single attack, but since Goketsu defeated a stronger form of Genos and Genos felt he was stronger than any other monster he has seen before, it makes me believe he could be Silverfang level (with both of them beikg capable of toyng with dragon level monsters)
Personally, I like your takes just because I believe people underrate orochi and tats. So any excuse to say they are both stronger than PS is good enough for me.

For the most part I agree, I side more with Tatsumaki against wing Garou because Tatsumaki passive barrier did protect them enough where they were relatively fine after getting hit by psycho Orochi energy blast, but I think gargoyle Garou would win against Tatsumaki like 55% of the time.

Saitama was holding back to not kill either of them, each normal can have more force and damage than to maybe kill or send others flying
there is a big diff from saitama wanting to kill a monster and saitama beating up a human who is half a monster and also promised to not kill garou.

I like these, despite having a pretty different opinion (I don't think he needs full Gargoyle Garou) I love seeing other opinions about the franchise, and for example Orochi vs Sage Centipede gave me a whole other view about a match up between them (I thought they were just relative to each other)

You lost me at the first form of bulky Garou.
Due to sheer difference in speed, when Garou notices he can't bypass durability with regular attacks, he still would have a chance to react and adapt His Tactics and change to the fajín attack before Tatsumaki can even react.
Remember that he moves in fractions of a fraction of a fraction of a second in a much weaker form and he reacts in such Time or even Faster.
In comparison his perception of Time Is several times slower than that of Tatsumaki.
So his second form should win using your own logic...

I respect the arguments shown, but Murata already said that he is unsure on who would win between Tatsumaki and Orochi, so NO, there is NOT a huge gap between them. Also, Psykos ONLY fused with Orochi's blob and NOT his Full Power.
And it is ALSO stated by Murata that Tatsumaki NEEDS to be in perfect shape to beat Golden Sperm (who is literal FODDER to Garou).
Sage Centipede is most likely stronger than "Psykos Orochi", since God saw them die and was confident in sending Sage Centipede to take revenge.
And Tatsumaki is CONFIRMED equal (or even slower) to Sonic in speed... who is quite literally thousands of times slower than Platinum Sperm (faster than Flashy Flash), who in counterpart might as well be millions of times slower than "Gargoyle Garou" after multiple power-ups.
"Perfected Fist Garou" blitzes Tatsumaki so bad and with accumulated speed and strength enough to one shot her, regardless of her barrier being active or not.
So, in the end this fight is NOT close at all and "Perfected Fist Garou" is enough to no diff her.
This is outdated and doesn't take in Tatsumakis feats against Psyrochi and the changes in the manga unless you think FP cosmic garou and Boros is an even fight which was also stated by a more credible source the creator
So no outdated statements which are inconsistent with the story and the feats are not credible even if they from the artist and creator

What is the point of even comparing two completely different attacks like this? Just bc the Psyrochi beam was at a much bigger scale it doesn't mean it packs the same kind of power as a direct attack from Garou. It may, but so far we have not seen Tatsumaki to have that kind of fight with anyone. All we've seen is the fight with Psykos and Orochi fusion. That's basically it.

Ngl, tatsumaki also doesnt go all out at the beggining, she fought another esper weak monster and watched his power before testing their durability and taunting how weak they are before killing them with the crush, also thing is garou could always be near her so she cant use the barrier unless she wants to die too, bulk garou has to take the win ngl, and remember hes way faster so idk how she is gonna even react to him
Personally, I think it takes cosmic to stop and taking into account that he does get stronger overtime. I don’t even know he could initially do it. Especially with the feats she has against Saitama who is exponentially stronger than he was before, and then you know if you do possibly take the VGS that’s on top of the saitama who’s been growing every single day and she’s clearly grown a lot since she couldn’t even move hair Saitama, and then when she’s potentially still not recovered from the monster association, and she lifts saitama at his current level,plus it took him resorting to a series attack to stop with the Gaia canon which could scale above any normal attack using statements about his serious self

Bro you also have to consider stamina. I think garou has way more stamina than tatsumaki and if he can get her psychic powers worn down which i def think he can with how durable he is, he can win. I think it was stated in the psychorochi fight that her small body can't handle her power output or something. Just something to take in mind.
I honestly think that extreme fajin wouldn't work on tatsumaki as psyko orochi used a great power attack to slice the continent, and did minimal damage to her

I think if Tats is 2 one-shot tiers above Orochi she should at least be equal to bulky Garou AP wise, as I take scentipede and EOW to be orochi-tier combined, and perfected fist is above sage by a 1-shot tier, while bulky Garou is a one-shot tier above that since he thought he could fight a Saitama that previously one-shot him. This is ignoring the boosts Garou gets in the middle of battles, but also the boost Psyrochi got between her 2 forms, so I think it's reasonable to say Tats is around that tier. Given that Orochi is casually at the higher end of Splanet level, 2 one-shot tiers above that (I believe a one-shot tier to be 10x-ish) and accounting for Orochi upscaling from his suck force I would guess bulky Garou and Tats are around planet level+, maybe low-end LPL.

monster gauro is multi contineta+ after the ps fight. But if you include acceleration x mass law you can figure out that if he hit the ground with his ap he could be considered low end plantery at low ball since he is MFTL+
light travels at a max distance while being faster then light proves you are faster then said distance.
Another fact is that a weakened tatsumaki could not take down furher ugly which shows he is extremely weaker when weakened, another fact is simple, reaction time. Tastukmaki has shown at best light speed reaction time while if she can't react to the attacks she cannot make an attack as fast as it.

in my opinion tatsumaki could win since she fought a monster fused together which is called psykorochi which was able to destroy a whole crust of the earth and not only tatsumaki won, she was HOLDING back since she know that she would be able to destroy earth. Genos was able to measure monster garous power although tatsumaki? nah he wasn't able too. in the manga he said. "this power..isn't measurable" meaning tatsumaki would absolutely fold monster garou. (Btw can you make Boros vs Lightninja?)

In my opinion this video is right about Tatsumaki winning the battles the only thing missing is the argumentation, in the comments it is mentioned about Garou's feat of how he resisted Saitama's consecutive punches, the problem here is that they are forgetting about the feat that is being emphasized over and over again.
In the manga it is mentioned that Saitama was not trying to kill him and was holding back ,now, a normal hit from Saitama in the timeline of this moment (not in the fight against Cosmic Garou) would be equivalent to city level, the consecutive punches is possibly (correct me if I'm wrong) equivalent to multi-city level now this in normal mode and in the arc of the monster association.
Hard disagree on Saitama's punches against Garou being city level, bare minimum moon level as a mad lowball IMO, but yeah, maybe I could have gone more into it. I've gone in detail to why I think Garou's fight with Saitama isn't that impressive in various videos, especially "How Strong Is Boros?", I don't remember how much detail I went into here though.
Psykosorochi's lightning was multi-continental, lightning that Tatsumaki resisted with his barrier, with this argument Garou's supposed resistance was debunked.
Now about the speed it is true that Garou is much faster but not as much as what I saw in a comment saying that he would pass the barrier in a fraction of a fraction of a second, first of all if we calculate the speed of Tatsumaki that would be as follows: Tatsumaki reacted Sonic in his battle against Saitama,Sonic can move at 343m/s ,that in a normal mode; in his battle against Psykorochi ,Psykorochi condenses energy beams and based on the distance traveled of the Multicontinental beam and the others we can say that Tatsumaki was moving at 1860m/s which means that she moves and reacts at the speed of light obviously Garou is more fast but this gives it a slight advantage due to its barriers and reaction speed.

It didnt happen in the manga but in the webcomic, Tatsumaki(injured) tried using her powers to golden S and awakened garou but didnt work, same way happen to saitama later on but tats was fully healed
I think they're few characters who could resist tats power like ugly fuhrer(because of his ugliness power) and of course garou( becuz he can adapt)

for me, chapter 176 was the most disgusting and disappointing chapter in manga/anime history that i ever read. saitama tried to bully and intimidate a woman who is half his size and has half of his strength. thats right down there with dragon ball scenes of goku and vegeta beating up children.🤮
for me, saitama is no longer the "caped baldy." he's now the "caped bully." and all the gropings he did to tatsumaki seemed akin to the "r" word. perhaps it's a cultural thing but "no" should means "no" in every culture. tatsumaki screamed at saitama several times to let her go. she even called him a "pervert." and, before any of you inaccurately say that saitama was just trying to prevent tatsumaki from hurting anyone or damaging buildings, look at how much distruction saitama's actions caused.
and with garou, if saitama would pull his head out of his ass and act like a real hero, none of this would have happened.
let's be honest, saitama is just like the hulk - punches first and thinks last. like the time he punched the giant marugori who fell on city b and probably killed thousands of people and destroyed thousands of buildings. or when he fought monster garou for fun and needlessly destroyed thousands of buildings and bent the planet. or the time he punched cosmic garou without thinking and almost destroyed the earth and killed billions of people.🤯

I don't. Upscaling Tatsumaki also pretty much directly upscales Boros. The conclusions of this video would just lead to Released Boros being far above Gargoyle Garou.

I agree that just throwing rocks and stuff would be useless. Tatsumaki would maybe throw a few before realizing that and switching to using pyre psychokinesis to increase gravity, create barriers and attempt to crush Garou. At that point in the fight, I don't think martial arts matter all that much personally.

insane glazing of tatsumaki. you just kinda assume that the barrieres are impenetrable yet garo has resistance. what large scale attack could hit him? he is by far fastest character not named blast saitama or boros so he should be able to doge any amount of rocks thrown at him and he can easily turn that drill to dust in one attack. on top of that i think his higher developments are heavily underestimated because he only faced saitama. just basing their strenght of how hard much you think saitama was trying is too little imo. it is also confirmed that garo can tank a normal punch because he did survive. on top of that, in saitama vs tasumaki saitama is doing the exact same thing to her as he did to garo, not trying at all talking all the time just not being serious. and the whole "i couldnt contain you" is just bs imo because HE WAS CLEARLY NOT TRYING TO CONTAIN HER. he only ever asked her can we please go back to that open space. and unlike with garo saitama never attacked tasumaki
also i disagree, i think that 2nd monster form garou and gargoyle garou can defeat tatsumaki, and gargoyle stomps. 2nd monster form grew much stronger and i think he can easily tank tatsumaki's attacks, especially gargoyle garou.
Even if he can’t tank her hits he will just speed blitz and one shot her. As soon as he realizes his normal attacks aren’t working lethally then he’ll work to hitting past her barriers, where all of this can happen likely before tatsumaki can even react
in chapter 134, the fact that tatsumaki tanked a punch from god but kept fighting means that at full power, she could be as strong as saitama!!! 😳😳🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Great video but I disagree. Tatsumaki is actually not a durable fighter, that’s why Bang have better charts that her and she is clearly not more powerful than Garou. Starting from Perfecr fist Garou, no S class hero is standing a chance at this point. He literally cut Sage centipede in half when Elder centipede survived Blast the strongest S class twice
1. Tatsumaki can reinforce her physical stats by using TK.
2. We don't even know the context of the fight + Tatsumaki defeated a being much stronger than Orochi himself, which is already massively above EC, you can't ignore her feats.

I think it's not close at all. Monster garou is only slightly above bang, and tatsumaki for sure can kill that old man in a second. Probably monster garou is more durable than bang that does not mean he is close to tatsumaki

you give garou way to much credits , he cant be above divine orochi+psykos without devine power him self , there is no way he can win .regardless you comparing garou to saitama and then comparing to tatsumaki but the fact is saitama never tried to fight him rather then letting him to tire out as he promised kid not to hurt him . Garou was fighting continuously since the beginning of the monster association with literal monsters ( gyoro gyoro, orochi, black luster, etc etc )
all the way until saitama and didn't show any signs of fatigue on the contrary he just kept evolving and adapting. And he was instantly regenerating any damage.

You underestimate Garou in multiple of your videos, he took multiple normal punches of Saitama and can easily do planetary level feats.
And not going for the kill isn't always using less power, Saitama didn't wanted to kill Cosmic Garou but that doesn't mean Saitama didn't went Serious Mode.
