I love the mono reverb on the Nyx, It gives the synth such a Radiophonic Workshop vibe. I already have an OG Nyx but will probably build this as a companion for my Lil’ Erebus kit
I Bought the original then sold it stupidely, he never stop to haunt my mind since that day ! One of the only synth that i truly regret, but today is a great day, finally we will meet us again !
Just got one. Its as good as the other best mono synth I've ever heard (Erebus). One minute it can sound like a violin, another minute I'm off recreating doctor who sounds with my daughter. What a bargain for this kind of quality.
Literally just ordered and paid for an Erebus Reissue yesterday, after many sleepless nights of debating between the Erebus and the Typhon, and then you hit me with this the very next day?! 😵 ko
pro tip order gear to guitar center then if you change you mind or if the guitar is messed up you can return it on the spot. Bought the KO 133 saw the problems and returned it when I picked it up.
@@Wild_D actually, I did order it to guitar center. I could probably return it if I choose to. I have a feeling if I had seen this first I definitely would have been tempted to go Nyx instead.. because it's so new (well, old but new) and shiny, and seems much more complex than the Erebus, but actually the Erebus probably fits my needs better
It does n't sound like it on the demo, and the fact they have not answered makes me think no. For me, and probably many others, the answer to that question is a deciding factor on whether I will buy it or not.
Waiting for Nymphes MK2 in stereo and a small screen. If you showcase your product demo using an external reverb. Even though you have your own reverb built in, it should gradually become clear that something is off. It looks like the hands are getting bigger and bigger in Greece.
My guess is that they meant the reverb on it can be used externally, seeing it has 2 inputs. Probably one of them goes through reverb bypassing the gate and filter, while the other goes through filter and requires gate open. Want to check the manual but the link doesn’t work. Placed my order so hopefully I will know soon enough.
How deep does this sit in a eurorack case? I haven't been able to find any info on that. There's information on overall height, which includes both the knobs and the case. But how deep would it sit in a case without that extra power board on the bottom?
As far as I can see, it's without MIDI over USB, right? Too bad, honestly. Tried looking up the manuals on the site, but they don't work for me in Chrome :)
Nope - the USB is power. Honestly I don't love that either but much better than MIDI being USB only: USB powered (1.5 Watts) 50 Playing hours with 20,000mA portable power bank MIDI IN via DIN5 ¼ MONO TS Jack Out
@@totaled_camryI've had negative thoughts about USB power for a long time. But. I am so fed up with all those different power supplies that all look the same I am sure they've shortened my life by several years already! So I'm actually becoming a fan of USB power!
@@noodlingaround2023 I see guys using external reverb here, and I did same with Nymphes, yeah this mono verb can do some interesting things but in final result I still want to get stereo reverb
How difficult was it to assemble please? I'm am old old geezer who's useless at things like this. I hoped to buy the assembled version but it seems it's not available..
I’m so happy you guys are reissuing this! The only synth I ever truly regret selling…
Must. Fight. The. GAS... This sounds basically like the synth I've always been looking for. Amazing stuff.
The nyx was my first dread box. What a hell of an amazing beautiful piece of wonderwork this thing is.
One of the weirdest and greatest of them all.
Beautiful
Wonderful demo, i have goosebumps. Congrats to the reissue!
Hell yeah! I thought i missed out on this one forever. Great news👍🏻
Same ❤
Nice! The NYX is one of those synths I will never sell. It's such a cool instrument!

Sounds very attractive, nice work!
Dammmmmmmnnnnnnn It. Just when I think I'm done buying gear y'all have to go and reissue this.
When my wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I sent her this video.

@ a package did arrive from Greece…
YES!!! My mantis is gonna be full soon!!!

Amazing ! Subbed!
NYX!!! 💚💚💚
Please reissue Abyss!
Is gonna be a kit I love the old kits
YES!!!
Γάσσασ ! ❤🎉
(at this time) The link for the product "buy now", is messed-up.
Will this be offered in a DIY option like the Erebus and Hades reissues? **Edit:** It IS a DIY kit 🎉
The real question for Dreadbox is … did you keep the original reverb from Crazy Tube Circuits?
It does n't sound like it on the demo, and the fact they have not answered makes me think no. For me, and probably many others, the answer to that question is a deciding factor on whether I will buy it or not.
@@Bauhaus_1919that’s definitely the big question I have too. Hopefully they respond.
Looks and sounds wonderful! Out of curiosity, why are there no jack nuts on this version?
Sweeeet!
Please some new diy desktops soon ❤

Only option to buy is the DIY kit on the dreadbox site. It would be a shame that is the case
Any word about when the already built version will be ready. Is this what the release party in November in Athens is all about..? I do hope so..
Its ready, the event is to annouce a far more ambitious synth
Might be ready but it's not available..
Is the reverb the same? Or did they change the reverb? It sounds a bit different.
WHAT!
how much soldering is involved
None.
