his acting is beautifully done here. the way he first recalls the past, he has the look of a man who has realized his selfish desire, but at the end of it when he explains his aspirations, we can see him break. we can see him accept that selfishness in the way he talks to her, how he trembles in anger and his blank stare, beautiful acting.

when i ate truffles the first time. It's a very overwhelming taste and for some reason restaurants think: more truffles = better food (it just makes it more expensive).
I’ll take salmon roe over caviar. And yeah, truffle is very pungent and disgusting. How come white peoples offended by durian, but licking truffle oil clean.

Exactly what I thought when I tasted it.
This entire film did basically everything right. The music, acting, casting, story, messages sent to the poor and wealthy, the darker aesthetic, and overall development. It’s just a masterpiece.
I love it. His childhood trauma led him to have an absolute determination to achieve his successes and become the best chef in his country and he did it.

Cultivating meaningful relationships, finding purpose and meaning in one's work or hobbies, and practicing gratitude can all contribute to a sense of fulfillment that cannot be bought with money.

All Chef Paul's unusual behavior/ being a jerk made sense during this part, also I think this was the falling action of the plot.

Really shows how petty he is tbh. The film should’ve focus on his pettiness more and not trying to make him that menacing at that point.
I wonder why chefs have to be that petty. They could be more chill Inspiring while keep that seriousness, I wonder what's the reason of that pettiness, or maybe there's no calming chefs that have their society since they always focus on foods, or maybe our mind focus about that kind of drama so much, It's ridiculous that our mind wonder about chefs those are petty, think again I don't think chefs don't have to be petty, it's just their personal personality something.

The ingredient that tastes like just eating salt isn't what makes it expensive, but the process of making it. There are very few farms that raises Sturgeons and almost none of them are in the US.
I had it last year. If we were in a world where it didn't have a big reputation, It would've never occurred to me to try it again.

I watched this scene on tiktok before I watched the film, and I'm really glad i did. Such great insight to his motivation as a character and a person. Helped me decipher lots of the more layered scenes in the beginning, especially with how Chef Paul sees Aoy in his mind.

As someone who has ate caviar before, it’s actually like crap. Btw, Caviar is just fish eggs. I would say I could taste the texture which is something similar to jelly and that’s about it. It doesn’t have any other description than that.

Your comprehension is shallow then. This movie is not just about cooking and competition. It tackles a lot of political and social issues such as social classes, dictatorship, the dirty world of the rich, poverty, discrimination, capitalism, etc.
Movies like this require deeper digging.
