In addition to the new Flood and Sentinel variants spicing things up I wish that we could’ve had enemy marines/ODSTs for Quarantine Zone/Sacred Icon. Ruby’s Rebalance ld Halo 2 is going to do that, and various other mods already do. If you want another cool look into what Halo 2 could’ve been if Bungie had the time and resources go watch C3Sabertooth’s videos where he animated Halo 2’s storyboard. This includes the INSANE original ending where Truth’s plan was actually coherent, the Arbiter went through a complete character arc, and the “big reveal” that shows off the special relationship between humanity and the Forerunners (let’s just say the Human Covenant War was started to cover something up).
I noticed the halo music in your history teacher explains cod series, and wondered if you made halo videos too. This video is sick and this mod was a neat surprise when I found it :) happy with all the content you make, so keep posting man!
This mod was a lot of fun. It’s a really interesting look into what could’ve been. I think I’m most disappointed that we didn’t get the Shadows in more areas. No idea why but that’s my favorite Halo vehicle. Unfortunately, the balancing is all over the place, but that’s understandable since the guy combined different aspects of earlier builds of the game. There’s some things that are really good and make you wonder why they’re not in the game, while others make you really happy they got cut. More on the topic of Halo 2’s cut content you should look up the videos from my boy C3Sabertooth where he animated Halo 2’s storyboards. It’s really interesting. Some of the plot holes in the retail game like the Heretic leader attacking the Arbiter right as Spark is about to explain what the Rings do, and there already being Covenant troops and encampments on the Ring despite Regret arriving at the same time as humanity weren’t present in the storyboards. First you’d have the boss fight THEN the Heretic leader would be mortally wounded and Spark would appear. Before either of them could speak Tartarus and his Brutes would show up to collect Spark and blow a hole in the Heretic leader’s chest before either of them could speak. Also, when the Enamber Clad makes it to the Ring there would’ve already been 2 or 3 ships at the Ring, and that would’ve given Keyes a bigger reason to hide. We also missed out of 2’s original INSANE ending where the Ark was located on earth, in East Africa where modern humans first originated some 100,000 years ago. This just so happens to be when Forerunners disappeared from the galactic scene and human arose in their absence. Aside from Engineers we’re the ONLY species that can naturally interface with Forerunner technology that’s unresponsive to others. Truth’s plan actually made perfect sense and the Arbiter would’ve gone through a complete character arc. It’s really interesting. You should definitely check them out once you get the time.
In BlackDimund’s earlier version of the High Charity lost Warthog Run, he has a pelican crash to explain the warthog falling there for you. ruclips.net/video/OMahag8wEtc/видео.htmlsi=MEz4cyV6nccEQJMA His warthog run is arguably a little cooler (especially with the Flood Juggernauts there waiting for you and a drone ambush), but his version also did not have the rest of the level (it was for Project Cartographer and his mod just replaced the entire level with that warthog run)… He had some other issues with it that he never came back to flesh out as well, but it’s still a treat to play it.
Vengeful Vadam, that rings a bell. Were they involved in other community projects before? Edit> I think one of the reasons that Bungie had to cut so much content was that the game wasn't able to run on the original xbox. And, with there being 12 months or less before launch. They had to cut it, because they didnt have time to polish it. At least, thats how I remember it.
