Fun fact-video game arrows usually drop MORE and fly a SHORTER distance than real life arrows. In reality they can shoot basically straight for what would be a typical draw distance in a video game. Depending on the bow of course.
It's called perspective and actual facts so no, not a fun fact. And don't hide behind that "depending on the bow of course" crap either. Most games aren't realistic in the travel distance to time traveling aspect. Running 40 meters in ten seconds with 60-80lbs of gear on isn't just impressive, it's a damn irregularity. And if I'm shooting an 80lb draw with 280 grain arrows it's still got an arc at 40 meters. The crappy stick with a string on it in the mod you're referring to would be dramatically worse and everything it showed was realistic other than the fact that it did any damage to an armoured enemy.
@@RottenSloth93 A Marine wearing full kit (over 90lbs) can easily sprint 8 m/s, covering 40 meters in 5 seconds. Could they keep up that pace indefinitely? Of course not. I think we can all agree that game developers choose to ignore physics when it suits them, so trying to compare them with real life is a mixed bag and not very useful.

A handful of enemies have attacks that cover areas of the screen, but they are very rare, except for the "self sacrifice" enemies, which are weak and have a big windup before exploding, very easy to deal with.
