- Media artist Akinori Goto designed this fun 3d-printed zoetrope that when lit from the side reveals dancing or walking people. The piece was just on view at the Spiral Independent Creators Festival where it won both the Runner-up Grand Prix and the Audience Award.
How this is done is just by magic to me. Amazing
Wish the stl was available
this is incredible! i’m no scientist, but this is the 4th dimension if you think about it. We are that man walking and what we have done & will do are contained in that ‘circle’, and if/when we are 4th dimensional beings, then we are going to be able to be in control of the projector, or where all the _frames_ per say, are all lit up.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk, and I’m going to try to recreate this at my friends 3D projector for a light in my new house :) You are beyond genius for creating this and I commend you, thank you, and bless you ❤️
Well said it’s probably not round but the infinity sign where the intersection is your life
Wow, this is awesome 😍
Huh... wonder why this doesn’t have more likes. I thought this was pretty neat.
The only thing missing in this video is some TRON music.
Mindblown!
Missing the translation in Z, the natural vertical 'bounce' is absent, it looks stiff.

Does anyone know what software is used to create this 3D model from the 2D images?
hi... Amanda. did you figure that out.... love to know!!! or even a prefab 3d print....
You could achieve this in a software called grasshopper (a plug-in for Rhinoceros 3D)
great
Super!!!
Sorcery!
This is basically a 4D representation of an outline of a person walking.
representation of 2D animation in time can be 3D object and light can show us current frame :)
