      Oh I knew they were going to. Didn’t really believe it till i saw it which is cool to have an engine and truck type of house for the day.

    While I doubt that they would be doing it . Engine 125's house could definitely use and Ambulance if they could make room for one.. I would sooner have a new Ambulance in 125's house and if necessary they could move Battalion 8 in with Engine 68 permanently .

      I’m not sure how spacious it is inside since I’ve only been inside once and what I remember I don’t think it has enough space for an ambulance even if they moved B8.

      Comes from a time way back in the old days when fire boxes existed. You would find one and pull a cord inside which sent a signal to the nearest station or fire dept HQ, the signal being the box's number. The box number was then matched to a known location and units were dispatched accordingly. Many cities still have old working fire boxes, San Francisco and Boston still rely on them quite a bit. Most modern boxes now are public or private fire alarms like you see in offices or schools, which are connected to the grid and send an alert straight to dispatch who then detail units out.
