Didn't know they had one of the Spartans in the spare pool.. Definitely seems to be one of the better kept ones, hope it stays that way
@@danielhynd This rig was replaced when T34 got its eone but after that it basically just disappeared for the next few years. Guess now it’s finally back as a spare which surprises me because this rig still looks new and modern to be one! Hopefully it stands the test of time while it’s a spare.
Truck 20 was "browned out" (out of service) for four days due to a shortage of spare rigs but here it is now.
@@aidankateri Yes, I have a video of their spare truck a day before they went OOS which may explain why it went without a spare. Just keep that in mind when it gets posted soon.

@@billypetty1453 That's because this rig was used as a Task Force Unit during the DNC as Engine 200 even though it was originally marked for Engine 56.

Nice Catches btw what type of rig is the quint and what kind of siren are they using I’m not familiar with the Morton Grove rigs
E4 is a Spartan Smeal, Evolution, or one of the variants similar to it and the siren used was the Whelen Carson (I think but I may be wrong).
The siren being used in the video is from the ambulance which is a rig owned by the City of Niles IL.

It’s a siren that you can feel even in the deaf and hearing impaired communities. It helps first responders get to an emergency faster.
