I'm Still Standing (Live at UNSW Roundhouse, Feb 6th 2024)

Hey everyone, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I know it's been a while since I last uploaded on this channel, but I thought I'd share this performance I did recently. This was somewhat of an impromptu performance, with very little notice, but I managed to deliver an epic rendition of "I'm Still Standing." While this performance has a somewhat flubbed piano solo, mild audio cracking, and several of the Ab4 "I'm"s sounding rough, the audience's energy makes up for all these issues, as they sing some of the strongest "Yeah yeah yeah"s to date. This rendition of the hit 1983 track is partially inspired by Elton's Monaco 1984, Ephesus 2001, and Bonn 2003 versions of the song, featuring an extended piano intro, as well as two choruses following the piano solo. It is also worth noting that I sing the line "pickin' up the pieces of my life" in a different phrasing each time across the four total choruses. So enjoy this performance, and look out for more to come in 2024!

Damn it’s wild how jam-packed with talent some of the videos with even a relatively small amount of views are. Like this is phenomenal and it’s somehow lost in the sea of videos. It’s insane to me.
