I really like how you actually show us solutions for organizing instead of a shallow showcase of your makeup. You are a down to earth person and I appreciate it. I like your channel.
Thanks Alex Lexey - I don't like videos where people babble on about things they have either. If you claim a purpose of your video in the title, then that's what you should be talking about! I sincerely appreciate you noticing that :)
yes Melissa, please do a video on how to store hair stuff like curling iron and straighter and love the idea of keeping nails items away from dust and things you dont on your nails
Hey Melissa! You should do a video on your nail-painting technique/routine. I can never get my polish to last more than a day. Love your ideas on almost everything, why not nails?
I use the exact container to organize my nailpolish! My bottom layer is completely full of nail polish and on the top row I use two small plastic containers to organize my nail art supplies and nail care supplies :)
this is so cool! I just got back from Walmart on the way home from work and had in my mind this weekend to organize the bunches and bunches of jewelry collections I've kept and now unorganized, this weekend. I found some stacking trays for jewelry and brought a few sizes home to try out. I'm stacking them all in a deep dresser drawer and will put my fragile more dainty necklaces on a Brighton necklace tree I have on TOP of the dresser. What kinds of ways do you organize all your jewelry?
Oh that's a LOT of fun - organizing jewelry. Good times! I have a tree, and then a frame with lace which I use to hang earrings, bracelets etc. But I recently got a jewelry box at an antique store which I want to spray paint in high-gloss while and use...just haven't gotten around to that yet!
Love this idea for nail polish and nail tools! I'm thinking I could buy two sets and stack them all together! (I have a lot of nail polish) :)) thanks for the video.
Hey, Melissa awesome video! Your nails always look fabulous. I was wondering...what is your favorite nail polish brand? Also, would you consider making a video on painting your nails and keeping them neat? That would be great! Thanks!
I absolutely love this idea! I'm gonna have to try this setup for my my makeup. I'm curious how do you store all your cosmetics? I might have missed it in an old video idk lol LOVE your channels!!! ♡
I looked at the same Sterilite boxes at my Target, but I wasn't confident the handles wouldn't pop open with the weight of my collection, so I got the plain Sterilite boxes. They still stack, but I need to carry them with two hands. I have two boxes of just colored polishes (my husband tells me there's a twelve step program for nail polish addiction), another box with top coats, bottom coats, nail repair, and two smaller boxes with nail tools in one and nail decor in another. Now that I've seen how you section your boxes, I'll need to do the same to mine.
LOL I might need to go to that group with you. I literally have to have conversations with myself in the nail polish aisle "do you really need this?". Wow - you have a LOT of swag though, that sounds kind of fun!
Great video... What brands of polishes do you use. I see opi and china glaze. I'm sure your polish collection will grow. Love the organizer. I think I'm going to go through my nail polishes and organize it like you too!
Thanks Amy Hoang , I have all kinds - OPI, Essie, China Glaze, a few L'oreal, I just got a Sonia Kashuk from Target polish, and then some one off items that I've gotten from Sally Beauty Supply...have fun organizing! I saw you change things out on IG :)
Where in the house do you keep your nail polish? Do you keep it handy (such as in the TV room to do while watching TV) or do you keep it with the rest of your make up collection?
LOL I do keep it in the TV room! It has a special little shelf. However that said, I'd put it with my makeup if people were to come over, because frankly, it's out of place. It just gets used so often that it makes sense for me to keep it there (that could also be referred to as lazy!).
I got one of those containers after watching your Walmart Haul! Except I use it to separate 'homework' and projects for my kindergartener so I can save her stuff ❤️
I put a link in the description to them, look around because you may find better ones which can be more stable. The important part is getting the solution right, what you use to do it doesn't overly matter! Have fun :)
I keep my nail polishes in a several spice racks in my craft room, working good so far. But I do like your stack containers better, you can transport them everywhere.
LOVE this organizer! I don't really have much nail polish but this would be PERFECT for storing small craft items for my Kindergarten class! Hopefully will be getting this at Walmart this weekend! By the way, where are the kitchen update videos?!?!
Yes it would - I can imagine that a kindergarden class needs a lot of organization for all the little crafts and nick nacks! So, we've been in a holding pattern until the counter comes, which is why nothing much has happened. We're going to launch a video this weekend about the kitchen showing you guys the few minor things that were done in-between, but the action comes once those counters come in. Otherwise, Kevin's got nothing else to do! Stay tuned though - movement comes really soon!
ThePoojaJosh thanks! This is from J Crew, but I get shirts from Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, AE, Aritizia, Joe Fresh, just the common mall stores :)
Hi Melissa i've gone to every walmart from in scarborough, Pickering and Ajax...none of these stores have this box. Can you suggest another place that might sell this item?
Hi! I have a question from other topic. How to fold gym clothes? I have a problem with folding my bf T-shirts - they are too slippery :( Is it there any proper way to make them look good in a wardrobe?
The problem with keeping the acetone bottle laying down isn't the mess it'll make as much as the fact that it's bad for plastic. It'll lose its transparency and become a little brittle (which shouldn't be a problem if it's thick enough).
So I think Seche Vite would be the best although I don't currently use it - it has a cult following. I use an Orly base coat (it's orange and apparently 'sticky' and hangs on to the polish better), and for top I use Nail Tek Quicken. However, once those are done I think I'll just bite the bullet and get Seche Vite.
Would you do a tutorial on how to put the polish on? I have seen lots where they say it's SO easy, still I look like a child did mine. :-( I now only use clear ones as a result.
I might do that one day! I spent a lot of time practicing LOL and it never used to look good. It really does require practice. One thing I learned is the importance of applying nail polish with LIGHT strokes, since heavy ones put too much polish on and make it look streaky.
The brand doesn't matter. What matters is that it is Czech crystal / glass, which will never wear out. Something like this: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FQTYD1C?ie=UTF8&creativeASIN=B00FQTYD1C&linkCode=xm2&tag=clmyspbl-20
Hi Melissa! I use the Storage cube with three drawers from Micheal's canada.michaels.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-MichaelsCanada-Site/default/Product-Show?pid=C_hd0917&cgid=products-scrapbooking-storage these are meant for storing scrapbook paper but they will fit the tallest nail polish bottles you have and i use the dolorrama clear drawer organizers to keep them nice and organized!
LOL there are so many good shoe storage organizers! Take a trip to Solutions and you'll see like 50. We have one that hangs in the front hall closet which has been amazing for all of my shoes. I showed it in the Spring Clean your Front Hall Closet vid.
Why are literally all your videos over exposed? Is your husband one of those guys that just points and shoots the camera on full auto? This is annoying I can't see anything a lot of the time just white blurs.

Love the way you have macgyvered the separators, I'd never have thought of that
Love this idea! I actually have the same container in my office. Looks like I'm going to have to re purpose it!
Give it a try!
Melissa's Nail Polish Organizer! #nailzzz
You have target stores in Canada?
Thin Thin R
Yes, we do.
jovicrazed they are closing down.;(

Awesome! I wanted to put the polishes on the bottom but some of the bottle tops were too high. It's great, right!?
Love love it, you never cease to amaze me.
Aw, thanks Celeste Gibson - always so sweet with your comments!

Oh Yes, LOVE this! I will be moving to this idea very soon. Thank you for sharing!
Great to hear!

That's a great use for it!
love it! my nail bins are a bit chaotic. I need to source those dividers!!! thanks!
I put a link in the description to them, look around because you may find better ones which can be more stable. The important part is getting the solution right, what you use to do it doesn't overly matter! Have fun :)
Really cool idea! thanks for sharing!
Thanks Lisa Mbarak !
I keep my nail polishes in a several spice racks in my craft room, working good so far. But I do like your stack containers better, you can transport them everywhere.
Oh spice racks! Brilliant!!! Yes, this is portable which is nice :)
Great Idea! I need to find some of those dividers down here in Australia.
It doesn't have to be these exact ones, they are not the greatest, but yes, the concept is fantastic!
LOVE this organizer! I don't really have much nail polish but this would be PERFECT for storing small craft items for my Kindergarten class! Hopefully will be getting this at Walmart this weekend! By the way, where are the kitchen update videos?!?!

Yay! Can't wait to see the counters! Did you decide on handles?
I live in Canada too, where do you usually buy your long sleeve tops? Theyre always really cute!
ThePoojaJosh thanks! This is from J Crew, but I get shirts from Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, AE, Aritizia, Joe Fresh, just the common mall stores :)
:0 omg! freaking smart!!!! i live in canada where can i get those dividers?
Hi Melissa i've gone to every walmart from in scarborough, Pickering and Ajax...none of these stores have this box. Can you suggest another place that might sell this item?

Love it! I would love to see a video on how you clean that amazing headboard! ::)
LOL it's anti-climatic: a microfiber cloth and water and I just poke the cloth in and out of the holes!
Well. I thot there might be more magic in that one, but makes sense :D
Love your shirt ! Where did you get it ? I want one !
The problem with keeping the acetone bottle laying down isn't the mess it'll make as much as the fact that it's bad for plastic. It'll lose its transparency and become a little brittle (which shouldn't be a problem if it's thick enough).
I'm loving it
Cut a small piece of plastic wrap or cling wrap and put it under the lid of the acetone, it acts as a barrier so it wont spill
That's the best nail polish remover ever
i use a makeup train cases for my nail polish and tools
What is your fav base an top coat, Melissa.

Ah. I don't know what a Solutions is. Professional bachelor. I will investigate as it's Saturday.
Why are literally all your videos over exposed? Is your husband one of those guys that just points and shoots the camera on full auto? This is annoying I can't see anything a lot of the time just white blurs.
Come up with more organizing video. Love this organizing tip.
Thanks so much! I'll see what I can do :)
