Amber has mellowed out a hell of a lot it seems. I’m still sure they’ll eventually breakup, but it’s nice to see her not be as abrasive
her losing her abrasive qualities is justified, since Mark not telling her the truth (until he felt like had no other option, as a last resort to stop her breaking up with him) was the source of Amber's aggravation.

Honestly, I’m glad they listened to the feedback with Amber. She’s a much better character and given Mark’s severe depression right now, it’s nice to see he has someone supportive to keep him from completely falling apart in the context of what’s happening in the story.
That said, it’s going to take a while to get over all the shit that pissed me off last season about her. But it’s nice to see the writers heard the feedback and listened.
It also wouldnt make sense to make Eve and Mark date right away, the two didnt even know each other that well. @@toryt1849

Disagree. She's not a better character, because she's still the same character. They might change how she behaves but that doesn't erase the events of season 1 from continuity. They need to have a scene where they actually acknowledge how unfair that was.

Honestly the thing that ruined amber originally is the fact that she KNEW he was invincible, but still made herself the victim before dumping him. If she was in the dark and didnt know why he was ghosting her, or she found out and couldn't handle that kind of relationship Id be A-ok with her. Idk why they put that part in because it ruined an already relatively boring character that is so painfully obvious to be a setup for invincible to get with Eve.
Season 2 is fucking whiplash because like now... Shes actually nice? She has some corny lines but her saying the whole "never apologize for saving lives" (while a bit on the nose) is a complete juxtaposition to what we had in S1. A good one though, mind you.
Such a missed opportunity to not have mark kill Amber in the alternate dimension. That would’ve been great to see.

@@Niklas-zk9ys Yeah there’s more but it’s pretty clear that dimension has is not important to the story in any way so we probably won’t see it again. The only reason for showing it was to introduce us to an Angstrom that really hated Invincible so we know why the main Angstrom hates him once he gains all of their memories.

To be fair, _Invincible_ did the Multiple-Dimensions Plot-Device (and tastefully) in the original book series at least about a decade or 2 before Hollywood & Marvel milked the shit out of it. *_Spoilers:_*
Trust. They'll dabble in it but they'll not overly-rely on it. No bullshit "The Multiverse Is In Danger and Countless Universes Are Doomed!". The story focuses on our Mark's Universe and only his matters.
Every time I see some multiversal stuff going on, I get reminded of how Rick and Morty brought that concept to the mainstream audience.

You don't know this but Amazon JUST OPENED in South Africa and is trying to hire and streamline a core African female audience. Problem is that Jeff Bezos and his company don't know what they want and Netflix has been there long before them.
Black women have their OWN TV shows by separate networks and companies like Amazon don't know how to market to them. Raceswapping was one strategy.

To answer your confusion about Donald: that's not the original Donald but a robot replica of him. If you remember the Coming-Up Montage of Season-2 at Season-1's Finale; the Agency was building a new Donald to be an assistant to Cecil.

i got spoiled about the multiverse stuff being involved so i wasn't to suprised at the beginning but seeing Donald and Amber there made me incredibly confused.

For EVEN MORE context, in the comics, this opening scene takes place in an alternate universe where omni-man and mark teamed up to meatride the viltrum empire and destroy earth. Erm, yes, I do read the invincible comics.

I don't know lol I feel like I see what they were going for, but executed it wrong. Worst case scenario, omni-man beat since into her aswell. She did watch the brutality of what he delt with while she was at the time angry. Watched his life falling apart. So it could fit as legit character development in that sense.

After watching the first season last year , i was so into the universe that i looked up online and found out that the entire original comics were written by 1 guy, Robert Kirkman , he's not my favorite by any means but the fact that the comics lasted for 15 years (from 2003 to 2018) with the same writter is what sold me on it, and over the course of just 5 days i read the 144 issues of the comic, honestly, i think is Kirkman's best work, it's a lot better than Walking Dead and while it isn't as good as the silver age of DC if you take DC's silver age stories isolated, it is by far x10000 better than DC and Marvel universes as a whole because when big comic book companies have multiple writters working on the same character, in my eyes, this de-legitimizes the canon of the character, the original will always be the original...i guess my perception could be skewed by the fact that i grew up with Dragon Ball Z.
In any case, if the aesthetic and "vibe" of the tv show really hooked you in, even if you're not the type of person that reads (which is perfectly fine) i strongly recommend you give the Invincible comics a try, they are very short, they are well paced, the REALLY bring the same "feeling" as the show even though some things are different and you eat through them quicker than you'd imagine.
Thoroughly disagree with your take on invincible comics being better than The Walking Dead comics. I just felt like I had to put it out there and silver age of dc isn't as good as invincible as it didn't age too well

I watched a few RUclips vids that broke down the stories of invincible and from what I recall the amazon crew messed up cause Amber stays around for awhile I won't say more but I imagine in a world where invincible does the whole series I'd say bare min she'll be in the show for another season and half possible more.

im sure we were all confused at the start but i quickly came up with ideas as to what was happening like maybe this was the future? and then i realised it was a different universe. the ending makes sense, its just one of those classical revenge villains that just try to kill the main character and destroy his entire life

Not liking Amber because of how she acted season one is understandable. But the harshness and hatred from a lot of these losers is rooted in their racism. It’s so embarrassing
I think it's mostly sexism rather than racism. In almost every show where the female love interest has conflicts with the male protagonist, a portion of the fan base will express vitriolic hate for them and interpret other scenes with them in it as uncharitably as possible. The fact that she's a feminist probably doesn't help either.
I agree that she was unlikable in the scene where Mark revealed that he was a superhero, but she was also very forgiving with Mark's constant tardiness/absence, helped him when he was being bullied in episode one, and showed interest in his lame comics (lol). People hyper focus on the negatives and forget or ignore the positives whenever it's a girlfriend/fiancé/wife character.
