    It's early March as I'm watching this and a sight for sore eyes. Loved the hosta plantings and what a great garden center to label everything! The sound of the water...heavenly...so peaceful.

      Yes, they do! They have a beautiful barn they have turned into a venue and also host outdoor weddings, markets, etc… Great place to visit!🙂🌸

      Unbelievable selection of hostas, Doris, and that they label them all in the gardens. Last year, I came across one named "Tea and Crumpets" I wanted to buy it for its name. 🙂🌿

    Just clicked on your video for the first time and I immediately said that's Hornbaker Gardens. My husband and I love that place! We live about an hour away and enjoy visiting them occasionally. The choices are overwhelming 😊 I believe their home is on the property so that's probably their dog, not sure though.

      Welcome Alyson, yes, Jennifer mentioned the 🐕 is on their website. He seemed to know his way around. 🙂 Agree wonderful gardens. I was teasing them when I bought a gas plant it was their marketing of having it growing in the gardens to see. I had never heard or seen one before.🌸

    That tree was a White fringe tree , it’s native to most of the U.S.

    That white tree you commente on is a Native Virginia Fringe Tree. Southern Living Magazine states this is the most beautiful tree that no one knows about. They have been hard to find. The shape of that one is awesome. It looks best if it is not limbed up.

      Good question, Tammie. They did have a couple of areas for growing hosta starts. Those were all fenced and caged. The forested area was not, maybe the 🐕 helps some.

    About 30 seconds in on this video I said to myself, “based on that accent, this woman must be from Chicago.” Then at about a minute later she says “we’re about 2 hours from Chicago.” You can tell that accent anywhere! Beautiful garden. Thank you!

    Wonderful tour, and great timing! We're set to visit Hornbaker's this weekend for their annual hosta walk. We're in St. Louis and make the trip there at lease once a year for hostas, but also because it's such a beautiful garden. The people who work there are so nice as well. Thanks again!

      @@Michelleshomeandgarden Yes! The botanical garden here is my favorite spot in the whole city. Right now they have Dale Chihuly's art glass sculptures displayed throughout. If you get the chance, you should come over and check it out!

    First time watching, really enjoyed the tour. Very beautiful place with a variety of everything! I seen so many things I would love to have! Wish they shipped other things besides hostas and day Lilly’s! Love watching these kinds of videos! The only issue I have is not seeing the names of things and moving the camera too fast. I understand your new at this and you will get better in time.

      Hi Linda great question. They do have a dog that wanders the property and the new plant starts they have an enclosed fence area. Not sure what else they use, because they would be very attracted to the area.🙂
