As I explained in earlier comments, I think the RTS is one of the reasons for it's delay. With the RTS being constructed overhead at JB Sentral, it's best that they proceed with caution especially with the replacement of the viaducts of Tebrau Highway for the safety of their workers working below. Also, they need to take into consideration now with the integration with RTS.

Not possible as the East Coast line goes through a lot of forests. If it needs an EDTP, then an entire new alignment must be constructed especially in all the tunnel sections between Dabong & Manek Urai, as well as Sungai Temau - Teluk Gunong. Also, entirely new bridges must be constructed & replace all the iconic bridges like Slow Pok Long, Clementi Bridge, Peel Bridge & Guillemard Bridge. We sure don't want to see these go. These are icons. Also, ECRL will not "cannibalise" East Coast line. This is because they run entirely different alignments. The only points they meet are at Temerloh/Mentakab area, or at most, close by at Kota Bharu/Wakaf Bharu. Other than that, they are miles apart.
Masalah line tu dia lalu kawasan bandar2 kecik dan hanya di wakaf bharu sahaja bandar besar dia lalu(5km ke kota bharu) kalau boleh double track sahaja pun xpe xperlu elektrik ataupun buat byk passing loop biar tak ganggu perjalanan train yg terpaksa tunggu kalau train tak lepas kat tgh2 laluan...delay sejam pun ada kadang2
With the needs in the east coast line now and in the foreseeable future, it is not feasible to spend billions to even make it double track, let alone electrifying it. It is not a wise expenditure, even if we were in economic boom times. What they’ve done so far were rehabilitated the tracks and bought DMUs. This is good and cost effective to serve the needs of that line. What they could do next is refurbish the existing halts, stations and facilities along the line.
Nope. That's the existing Express Selatan train service (likely ES43) from Gemas to JB Sentral. The line is already operational. Just that the trains are stopping at temporary built stations, except Gemas, Kempas Baru & JB Sentral where they are still using the existing stations. Like you see in Kluang here, that's a temporary platform. The passengers' linkage to this temp platform is from the old station's pedestrian bridge

The day i travel from JB to Kuala Lumpur by KTM is the day i say it is completed. The train should be travelling at least 150km/hr. If not there is no point upgrading which costs millions..
My guess it's because of RTS constructing above the tracks at JBS, amongst other factors. In any case, construction of 2nd track & electrification works now have to occur in tandem with the RTS connection. So definitely, they will have to proceed with caution here.
HSR target is entirely different, especially in terms of alignment. Also, the target audience of the HSR for competition is flight rather than land transport. So to compare this with ETS is actually not a very fair comparison.
@@Noy201-i3p in general, yes. In specifics, no. It depends on the point of origin & the destination. For example, if I'm from Batu Pahat wanting to go to Putrajaya, it wouldn't make sense for me by then to take a transport to Kluang & then change to ETS to BTS & change to ERL to PJ. Or if I'm from Singapore, I can just take the HSR to Melaka instead of by bus. (excluding consideration of fares & that it remains the current route via 2nd link)
Gemas station has already been electrified & double-tracked. Hence, there's no more changes in the landscape to be anticipated. JB Sentral, however, is still not. Not only that, with the RTS now being built as well, the landscape of JB Sentral will indefinitely change drastically.
Probably, since the HSR is targeting a totally different catchment of pax & totally different alignment (provided it does not get amended into JB Sentral area as some are speculating. If that happens, then yes, I'll question it too.)
@@helicopter4327 if the HSR remains as Bandar Malaysia terminus, then the ECRL will not affect it in any way as it is way up north in Serendah area while BM is near Sungai Besi down south. And one does not need to wait till ECRL completion to decide on HSR. They just need to take the impending demand into consideration when planning now before construction. Anyway, the RFI exercise is still open for submission till November. So we will not hear any progress on the HSR till at least Dec or early next year. At most, they will just report in November that the RFI submission is closed & how many have bidded, etc. Any further step will only likely be announced in Dec or next year.
Kalau sudah siap 93% kenapa kita mesti tunggu sampai 2025? Don't tell me you need more than a year to complete the balance of 7%. This is simply too much. The longer they wait the higher the cost will be. How is this going to help our nation's financial situation?
Dah lambat. Orang Johor terlalu sabar. Patut ingatkan ahli politik mereka semasa PRU atau PRN. Apa parti mereka buat?

No more excitement on watching this so-called progress video. Really getting tired of all the delays without a solid reason. With only 7% construction work left, need two more years for operation???
With the RTS under construction overhead at the same time, they definitely now have to proceed with caution & co-ordinate with MRT Corp over the additional platforms for the RTS station. So I'm not surprised. The delay at Labis is also not surprising due to the fact that they didn't originally plan a temporary viaduct for Labis viaduct replacement & constructed an underpass way south of the site until residents made noise. And so they had the temporary viaduct over part of the permanent new station structure. So the construction of the new station could not proceed until the new viaduct was opened & the temporary one removed. Meanwhile Kulai's delay was due to the delay in the construction of the replacement viaduct of Jln Kulai-Kota Tinggi, which lies south of the new station (you can barely see it in the distance in this video.)

@@nick_1551 I see, how does it differ from the ETS Gold and Platinum right now?
Knapa tk buat track meter gauge dgn standard gauge sekali dlm satu track... Nnti tk pyh nk buat track baru klau nk upgrade coach 160kmh and above...
Ke sbab trlmpau bnyk sharp bend... Logik jgk sbab track asal utk train diesel
Btulkn klau sya silap

Bukan typo mmg asal Rengam dulu2 1 huruf g je
Lagi 7% 2tahun lagi...hujung 2025 baru beroperasi..lamanya kena peram hehe
suku pertama dah beroperasi..bermaksud awal bulan april 2025 dah beroperasi..
Let's hope the frequency of a train is good enough.
Can extend to Woodlands KTM station?
Nasib baik ets utara MMC buat
18:35 What's with the atheist song?
buat banyak sangat stesen nanti ETS bukan nak berhenti pun cuba kira ada 20 stesen dari Labis sampai ke Johor baru takkan nak berhenti satu satu bila nak sampai?
The day i travel from JB to Kuala Lumpur by KTM is the day i say it is completed. The train should be travelling at least 150km/hr. If not there is no point upgrading which costs millions..

When got Ipoh to Singapore direct train?
By 2025 in 4hours.
If it is 93% complete, why the 7% needs another 2 years to complete? Transport Minister Kayu ah?
My guess it's because of RTS constructing above the tracks at JBS, amongst other factors. In any case, construction of 2nd track & electrification works now have to occur in tandem with the RTS connection. So definitely, they will have to proceed with caution here.
@@nick_1551 Do you know Rawang to Ipoh section completed in 2008 ? Johoreans not Malaysian ? Johor not part of Malaysia ?
@@frankiechiuh3401 erm, what has the Rawang -Ipoh EDTP to do with my comment above?
Then why we still need HSR?
HSR target is entirely different, especially in terms of alignment. Also, the target audience of the HSR for competition is flight rather than land transport. So to compare this with ETS is actually not a very fair comparison.
@@nick_1551...different target audience but same purpose. Transporting people from point A to point B.
Bukan senang nak siapkan.projek2. mega skrg dgn kos yg melambung hanya nagara yg mempunyai kekuatan ekonomi shj mampu melaksanakannya
Missed out Gemas station on purpose because not in Johor state?
Gemas station has already been electrified & double-tracked. Hence, there's no more changes in the landscape to be anticipated. JB Sentral, however, is still not. Not only that, with the RTS now being built as well, the landscape of JB Sentral will indefinitely change drastically.
@@nick_1551 thanks for the info.
Are you want to completed with 10 years or 15years? 20years?
bila 100% siap?
😍👍
So bila 100 percent siap???
PM10 Government please wake up and speed up all the projects before got thrown out !!
Keretapi ETS
93%... Latest progress?
Much too slow. Ministry of transport better pull up their stock to press for early completion
'Ready soon' tapi siap tahun 2025? 😐
Dah 93% siap tapi kenapa kena ambil masa 1 tahun lebih baru siap sepenuhnya? 🥺
budaya orang Malaysia yang suka kerja perlahan2.
Still need HSR?
Probably, since the HSR is targeting a totally different catchment of pax & totally different alignment (provided it does not get amended into JB Sentral area as some are speculating. If that happens, then yes, I'll question it too.)
@@nick_1551 i think hsr project can be postponed until the ecrl project was complete in 2027...
🤲🤲🤲👍👍👍
2025 !!! This contractor baik tutup kedai..
Kalau orang muar..yang paling dekat segamat lah kot...
benda ni bagus, tapi yg merepeknya masa ets ni buat tahun 2010 boleh pulak stop smpi gemas je.. patutnya dari awal lagi dah terus ke JB..
Kalau sudah siap 93% kenapa kita mesti tunggu sampai 2025? Don't tell me you need more than a year to complete the balance of 7%. This is simply too much. The longer they wait the higher the cost will be. How is this going to help our nation's financial situation?
Siap station sahaja. But need to wait for Train Test Run 😅
i guest 1 month progress 0.5% for now.
Dah lambat. Orang Johor terlalu sabar. Patut ingatkan ahli politik mereka semasa PRU atau PRN. Apa parti mereka buat?

Ets vs hsr
Susah nak faham sikap KTM yang sebenarnya.
this project suppose to be done long time ago..
Well said
What the…..All the stations builded in rural place😂 omg
It's an upgrade of the existing rail line. Not a new line. And it's for the locals primarily. Even in these "rural place"s, many pax are still taking.
