I’m inspired to learn the spanish language. I have spanish heritage on my father’s side of the family tracing the roots all the way back to cadiz, spain. It’s just amazing to see you and a budding community of Filipino spanish speakers trying to revive the language in the country. Hopefully, the government will support the endeavour to bring spanish back to our educational system. God bless.
Having a Filipino-Spanish festival is a very good way of promoting Spanish culture in the Philippines, most especially in Zamboanga and some parts of Cavite and Batangas....

Viva Filipinas!!!! Arriba Filipinas!!!!
Aljohn, you channel can be an instrument in letting others know that learning Spanish isn't about having a colonial mindset. It is simply expanding one's knowledge.
Never ako nagsabi nq sinusupport ko mga colonizers nor I promoted it to be the national language. Like Wtf!?

A Hispano / Filipino museum should be put up in Intramuros to promote the Hispanic culture with emphasis on the Spanish colonial period, the Manila- Acapulco Galleon trade between Manila and Mexico.... probably with help the Spanish n Mexican embassies, Instituto Cervantes etc....i use to remember my abuela having a subscription to a local tabloid called El Debate, i don't know if there is still some old copies of these Spanish newspaper today...a copy of these n other Spanish newspapers in Manila could be a nice item in the Museum
Pwedeng Kastila, Koreano, Hapon, Mandarin, etc.
Hey buddy! remember the video you made in september about spanish week in Makati? I've been trying to find if they'll host again, and I know its still soon haha just in case this year they'd host it in august. Do you know if they'll host again?? I enjoyed your video a lot and showed to my girl and i'd love to taker her there, but I can't see to find if it will be made again or not... prob during next weeks it gets announced but I'm too impatient haha.
Hi!! I will post an announcement once it is announced. Or you can check it yourself by following the socials of: Make it Makati, Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Instituto Cervantes Manila. I hope that there will be another Spanish week. See you there!!! 🎉🎉
Sana wag palitan ng ibang pangalan yung mga lumang Spanish names ng mga kalye especially dyan sa Intramuros....for example Aduana St., Muelle de la Industria, Estero de la Reina, Reina Regente st.etc....to preserve our Spanish heritage
While during my student days we were praying Spanish will be scrapped off from Philippine school curriculum. It was so useless during those times and were happy when it was finally cancelled in the 80s. Now people are wanting it back.😂
@@UrAshWhole 🤣 cuz it looks like "cinco".I prefer to use less syllables. Like here in the Philippines there is a group called BGYO and I call it "Bagyo" which means a storm lol.
@@aljohnpolyglot haha was just kidding. 😉 I started Spanish using Pimsleur and stopped during covid. Watched your vids and I want to restart. What are other apps to use for learning.
@@UrAshWhole wow goodluck! I really don't use language learning apps. I just immediately dive into immersion and work my way up. As a Filipino, I hate the Spanish colonizers. We lost so much of our identity as Filipinos. We couldn’t even keep our original Filipino surnames. A lot of Filipinos were killed if they didn’t convert to Catholicism.
Say that in Filipino instead of English, what the Americans did was more horrible! Our real identity is our current identity. Nothing else. Stop being hypocrite. Both colonizers have pros and cons! If you hate the Spanish language (since u hate the colonizers) then stop speaking English.
