it's a shame that they don't take into account status with the loyalty match programme
Interestingly Virgin dropped MSC as a match partner on the new list. On the old Match List, you could get MSC Status without actually sailing on MSC, so maybe Virgin wanted to cut off that route to Sailing Club status.

I'm Platinum on NCL and next April I will be Sapphire so Virgin Voyages is really making it unattractive to sail with them because they really should just say, hey other loyal to other cruise lines, come on over and we'll match what you have. None of this sailed with us or sailed with us in certain years. That's crazy. Too much jumping through hoops to get so little.

I understand why they don’t, but I wish casino comp cruises counted. On Princess they do. My only sailing on Virgin was a comp cruise, so to them, I’ve never sailed on Virgin. I did get the DBE at that time since I’m Elite on Princess, but looks like I lost that too.
So glad they cleared up the confusion about joining the Sailing Club, it was about time!

I really like the new program. I am about to sail on my 3rd Celebrity cruise and even though I have sailed VV once, I may try to status match and see if I can get the base blue extras!
Why don't they just make it like casinos do it? Walk in with your players card of certain levels and get matched!
