From South Korea to Trinidad is a 2018 interview and narrative driven documentary about the presence of South Korean culture in Trinidad, and of some of the experiences of South Korean individuals in Trinidad, directed by Sarah Sobrian and Umar Nobbee. It highly uses transformative media to form a cohesive story, as well as interviews with fans of Korean culture. Other interviews include Soon Yi, owner of Korean Restaurant Golden Bell and it's dine in counterpart, You and I, in Maraval, Kyung Hwa Hwang, owner of Shabang Shabang Korean Bakery in Diego Martin and Sungo Yun, the cultural officer of the South Korean Embassy in Trinidad. The film also covers several experiences of K-pop fans in Trinidad, including trolling and bashing relating to the death of K-pop star, Kim Jonghyun of SHINee.
