I'm impressed. Not a single teardrop and a great gimmick. This thing breaks-up the monotony of the mine train and the attention to detailed theming is great. Dollywood does their rides right.
It really doesn't get crazy this is one of the few rides that is alot scarier on video in real life it is not crazy or scary at all but I went on it several times when I was there and it is really fun but it is pretty much a junior coaster
I rode this recently, it's crazy, I think they designed by letting a preschooler draw on a peice of paper with expo marker with their eyes closed. And then made it go backwards.;)
It doesn't look bad before you get on, but when you get on, there sure is a lot of air time! I gets your stomach really bad when you go down the hills backwards! Great coaster! I loved it!
My family and me went to Dollywood this past weekend and it was a blast. This is the first ride we rode there. This was my first roller coaster ride! Cool video buddy.
I got on this when I was 10 and I screamed so loud. I was in the 2nd row and these 2 teenagers were just like looking back a little like I was crazy, haha. And I'll tell ya, this go's alot faster than you think And the lines are always crowded and long. I waited atleast an hour in line.. Worth it though. Fun ride
I managed to ride this 8 times in one day despite 30 minute rides. Some times the line was a walk on, some times the queue was full. Depends on what time you rode. Wild Eagle and Thunderhead were walk-on's all day, however. Every time I rode this with my cousin, I kept mentioning how horrible the turn at 1:15 was to her XD It was a really good ride.
I went to Dollywood today and had to leave because of the weather. Sadly I did not get to ride all of the coasters. At least on You-tube I can watch all the ones I missed.
Interesting lift hill design, and the teaser start, is a nice twist. When I saw the switch track, things do take off, for this ride. The layout, twists and turns, reminds me a lot of The Italian job (backlot stunt coaster now) at kings island Ohio.
This really reminds me of Cheetah Hunt. It takes the focus off of intensity and zeros in on the "fun factor" of the layout. It's great to see "fun" coasters getting a bit of a comeback :)
+Serina gaming this ride is not that good almost 0 good drops only and only goes 35 m per hour and best in park never gonna happen when their is rides like wild eagle and mistery mine even blazing fury is more intense then this ride
I went to Dollywood on memorial day I think but I never road that ride the line was a hour long but maybe next time if we go there ill ride it!=(=)LOOKS AWESOME!!!♥
This is the best ride there (my fav. Ride used to be River Rampage) BUT HOLY CRAP I LOVE IT! (Btw im typeing this before i go on the ride ok bye my cart iz here)
I have a bad fear of heights and this coaster triggered that. Now keep in mind i am a wuss (lol) and the only coasters i have ever ridden have been at Dollywood. The coaster itself is no worse than Mystery Mine but i can handle it and have ridden it at least a dozen times or more. But on Mystery Mine they have the shoulder harness that i like. I feel more safe and secure. I did not feel secure here. Then again the coaster i have rode the most is Thunderhead (which is my all time favorite) and it does not have shoulder harnesses but i still feel more secure than Fire Chaser. Can't really explain it but this one just triggered my fear. I know that sounds kind of weak since it's a family coaster lol. I'll just stick with Thunderhead. :-)
Ok so I think the last time I went to Dollywood with my family we had just gotten off this ride and a surprise storm came out of nowhere and the two rides after us got stuck on the tracks one on the brakes after you get up the hill and one when you’re backwards and about to go inside the station. I just felt so bad for the people on top because they were so high up and it was pouring.
This track looks exactly like the track from the Big Bend at Six Flags over Texas from years ago. The layout is different, but the track looks the same.
You're right about that! The company that made this ride (Gerstlauer) was started by a former employee of Schwarzkopf, the company that made Big Bend, Jumbo Jet, and many other classic coasters.
I thought this was a decent coaster. It was better than what I expected. The ride was nice and smooth as well. It's certainly not on the same level as Wild Eagle or Tennessee Tornado but I would ride it again if the line wasn't too long.
Love how they didn’t need to have this ride go upside down to have it be a good ride you just go through a casual coaster and then BAM your going backwards
someone explain why in one of the shots - the train comes backwards with no engine at the front? i thought it gets left in the fireworks depo but in other shots it is still attached. just a maintinance day?
4:04 Why don't they have that belt on? :o Btw. interesting how the train was empty before and when it goes backwards there are suddenly two people in the front seat.
I'm impressed. Not a single teardrop and a great gimmick. This thing breaks-up the monotony of the mine train and the attention to detailed theming is great. Dollywood does their rides right.
If this is not a perfect definition of a first class family thrill ride then I don't know what is. Looks awesome!
They must have had so much fun designing this thing.
+LegolasNordark they are going to get a new ride and it sounds awesome
Yeah it does sound awesome girl
I love how it starts off like a junior coaster but then it becomes a lot more crazy
coolredpen I have been in Dollywood it is so much. fun lots of rides I have been there a lot
I mean it still is a family coaster so it can't really be intense
Well it doesn’t become that crazy
It really doesn't get crazy this is one of the few rides that is alot scarier on video in real life it is not crazy or scary at all but I went on it several times when I was there and it is really fun but it is pretty much a junior coaster
Yeah it does
That ride basically said “Oh you thought you was DONE done”🤣
This was my son's first coaster. I thought that he would be too scared, but he handled it like a chamo. I was so proud
I love how theme park review can make any coaster look good
I went here in April of 2014 when the "fire chaser" was brand new. The line was so long for this ride at all times. But it's super fun!
This is amazing, top marks to the designers.
I rode this recently, it's crazy, I think they designed by letting a preschooler draw on a peice of paper with expo marker with their eyes closed. And then made it go backwards.;)
Same
It's really not that crazy
Mr.JayBirdz this is exactly what i thought lol, it’s actually pretty crazy if you ask me.
No, that description is the Smiler (except the backwards part obviously)
This is like my fav rollercoaster in dollywood!!
It doesn't look bad before you get on, but when you get on, there sure is a lot of air time! I gets your stomach really bad when you go down the hills backwards! Great coaster! I loved it!
It was not scary at all I'm only 11 and I was so confused as to why people were screaming I mean it was fun but not scary or fast at all
It’s not too bad, since it’s just basically a junior coaster. Although it’s fun nonetheless.
H U N T E R exactly!!
I LOVE the fire chaser express!
It goes backwards!
1:22 for a family ride, this is awesome.
omg other than the 2 hour wait it was actually really fun, trust me u can actually feel when it drops and it goes faster than it looks😭
My family and me went to Dollywood this past weekend and it was a blast. This is the first ride we rode there. This was my first roller coaster ride! Cool video buddy.
+Lan Lan Gaming Really? That's cool my family and me went to Dollywood this past weekend too, and this was our first ride their too!;)
"We couldn't have done it without you" Awesome!!!
It seems so smooth! And not much noise! I luv it!!!
I went to dollywood during fall break. Gatlinburg is basically my family's vacation place. We rode this ride and it was AMAZING. very smooth ride
Not the tallest or fastest coaster, but still looks fun. Interesting layout and some fun airtime
I got on this when I was 10 and I screamed so loud. I was in the 2nd row and these 2 teenagers were just like looking back a little like I was crazy, haha.
And I'll tell ya, this go's alot faster than you think
And the lines are always crowded and long. I waited atleast an hour in line.. Worth it though. Fun ride
How old are u now? This ride was built built last year
Umm I'm 11 now LOL
Not helping your situation sweety
+Erry Wolf Ok your pissing me off
It was not scary at all I'm only 11 and I was so confused as to why people were screaming I mean it was fun but not scary or fast at all
I like how cute it starts off but then gets wild!
This looks absolutely amazing!
It's not I can keep a strait face on this ride and plus you have to wait like 45 min
I got to ride that ride and it is so awesome. Can't wait to go to Dollywood again.
That's a really good unique coaster ride. I like it.
Trust me it's not that good the backwards part isn't even good you wanna ride a roller coaster at dolly wood ride wild eagle
That's a fun looking ride with superb theming! I wish Dollywood was closer to me!
Yuck
6:14 Roller coaster secret sauce.
IVE SEEN SOMANY OF YOUR VIDEOS AND I LOVE THEM I THINK THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST RIDES IN AMERICA
That rollercoster looks cool
I'M UP FOR ANY ROLLERCOASTER!! literally!!
Like the track switch below being "blown out" of the firework shop. XD =D
BEST RIDE EVER!!
This ride is so much fun, no wonder it has a 90 minute wait but it’s worth it!
When I went the wait was only like 5 minutes
I went to Dollywood today and had to leave because of the weather. Sadly I did not get to ride all of the coasters. At least on You-tube I can watch all the ones I missed.
I rode this two weeks ago,one of the best kiddies coaters I,ve ever ridden.Great footage.
Interesting lift hill design, and the teaser start, is a nice twist. When I saw the switch track, things do take off, for this ride. The layout, twists and turns, reminds me a lot of The Italian job (backlot stunt coaster now) at kings island Ohio.
When I was a bit younger, I loved the Firechaser.
awesome ride
This is so much better that the CoasterForce POV
I have never seen a roller coaster like this before in my whole life
This is my favorite ride ever
0:21 RCT3 be like
Actually OpenRCT2
Totally with that awkward lift hill transition
AHAHHAHAAHH😂😂
Gold Freddy vinesauce Joel flashbacks
This is such a great all-arounder
Well that's nice to see ya enjoying it, I'm going to Dollywood too ( Saturday- Sunday)
Great ride! Love the smooth twists & turns on this one!
the best family coaster at a non disney park
Verbolten?
-_-
- -_
This really reminds me of Cheetah Hunt. It takes the focus off of intensity and zeros in on the "fun factor" of the layout. It's great to see "fun" coasters getting a bit of a comeback :)
That was a pretty cool coaster indeed.
I'M UP FOR ANY ROLLERCOASTER!! literally
kingda ka? what about fomula rossa!
This was my first ever coaster. Pretty fun!
I've been on this ride I LOVE it
looks like this ride makes all of us becoming firefighters on this express to stop the flames from the firework warehouse.
I loved this ride
This was my fave ride in Dollywood I love it and it was so much fun!
I can't wait to ride this !
Delfintly riding this
Not what I expected at all! I was there closing weekend last season, and tried to get a glimpse of it
This ride was so fun I rode this thing like 5 times lol
Yeah BEST ride EVER y so many people hate!?😪😢
+Serina gaming this ride is not that good almost 0 good drops only and only goes 35 m per hour and best in park never gonna happen when their is rides like wild eagle and mistery mine even blazing fury is more intense then this ride
Brodie White, did you ever stop to think that maybe some of us can't take the wild coasters?
Honestly, this is a GREAT first coaster. It’s not too intense, and it’s very fun
Omg this is one of my fav rides I go almost every week😬😂I rlly hate how hot it gets in that barn thing tho🥵
I remembered riding that ride when I was 8 years old
*remember
So your nine now because it was built last year
Wowwww it was built at the end of last summer and during fall/winter dumbass, you're still a little kid
Hey hey calm down guys. He probably means he rode it last year. Or the year before. I've lost track, God damnit 2015
Yep yep last year. Yep
...now THIS I would love to ride!
I went to Dollywood today and I rode this it was packed , but we had fast passes. A very unique ride
That looks like so much fun
We went to Dollywood and this was my favorite😂
same
It's not even good compared to wild eagle I'm surprised this many people think it is good
At the wild eagle they call this the Tonka Toy ride😂 I was laughing so hard
How do they reverse the cars again?
While other people get ont the ride the track moves the train around
It’s a transfer track there are two of them one for the backwards part of the ride and the other to back up into the station
I went to Dollywood on memorial day I think but I never road that ride the line was a hour long but maybe next time if we go there ill ride it!=(=)LOOKS AWESOME!!!♥
yeah I waited an hour getting on it. It always has long lines
The one ride I didn't have time to ride my first trip. Hopefully I can ride this trip because spooky fire is spooky.
I can't wait to ride it. I haven't been in 4 years. I'm going Monday.
I rode this last week so good
I loved this ride my 2nd favorite coaster in DW
i love this ride
In three days I'm going to Dollywood I'm sooooo sooo excited to ride this ❤❤❤❤
What a great coaster.
this was an acually good family coaster their was some decent airtime especially in the back great ride
Looks awesome!
The start is the scariest part it launches you so much faster than you are expecting but thwn it slows down
That's not a fast launch at all...
+Captain Xno Actually it is. I believe it immediately launches you 30-40 mph.
30-40 mph. HAHA! I go on ones 120+ mph (Formula Rossa in Abu Dhabi)
Captain Xno It's supposed to be a family ride. And it doesn't matter the max speed of a coaster you've gone on. No one cares.
She said that it launches you fast, and you said 30-40 mph. That is not fast whatsoever.
This is the best ride there (my fav. Ride used to be River Rampage) BUT HOLY CRAP I LOVE IT! (Btw im typeing this before i go on the ride ok bye my cart iz here)
Superb ride
My cousin use to operate that ride when he worked at Dollywood.
IntellivisionDude shoulder restraints suck.
I love this ride I ride it at least 4 times every time I go
this is my fav ride there its really fun!
you guys never showed how the coaster turned around at the end!
+will gibson They use a switch track.
Interesting anti roll backs on the lift
i agree
It moves to a other track
Knexpert_of_Kansas I don’t under how those ones work, can someone tell me?
@@porkypiggieboy I don't know either lol
This track looks exactly like the track from the Big Bend at Six Flags over Texas from years ago. The layout is different, but the track looks the same.
You're right about that! The company that made this ride (Gerstlauer) was started by a former employee of Schwarzkopf, the company that made Big Bend, Jumbo Jet, and many other classic coasters.
Huh. Never actually knew that. Kinda similar to the CCI and Gravity Group stuff how a lot of employees from CCI branched off.
Theme Park Studio, what day were you there because i was there either last wednesday or thursday?
i just went today! and it was AMAZING
I thought this was a decent coaster. It was better than what I expected. The ride was nice and smooth as well. It's certainly not on the same level as Wild Eagle or Tennessee Tornado but I would ride it again if the line wasn't too long.
Love how they didn’t need to have this ride go upside down to have it be a good ride you just go through a casual coaster and then BAM your going backwards
someone explain why in one of the shots - the train comes backwards with no engine at the front? i thought it gets left in the fireworks depo but in other shots it is still attached.
just a maintinance day?
it's for filming
I just got off this a few hours ago!
Nooooo
looks awesome
Cool ending
Kingda Ka picture from six flags great adventure
This is my favorite
Ride wild eagle and then see if this ride is your favorite
4:04 Why don't they have that belt on? :o
Btw. interesting how the train was empty before and when it goes backwards there are suddenly two people in the front seat.
That was my favortie ride at dolly wood lol
