Thanks a lot brother, also for the support with your videos! I was actually planning to mention you in this video for sharing some of your videos with me. I then forgot about it... So thanks again!!! Hope we'll meet again! :)
That's so true! I have met quite a few people who keep coming back to this place for many times 😊 Good you found it as well! All the best to you, Satu 🙏
I’m used to western style retreats where I get my own room with a basic but comfortable bed, 2 main meals and evening supper. Also we have decent cushions in the meditation hall to prop the hips correctly to ensure we aren’t distracted the whole time with back pain. Those flat cushions they sit on in this video are useless. I thought about going to some retreats in Thailand including this one but they honestly look so uncomfortable that I doubt I would be able to go very deep into meditation if I was sleep deprived, hungry and in pain. I’m in my 50s and practiced insight meditation for over a decade but I don’t want to practice in what seems to be rather ascetic conditions. Also I noticed in another video that the lay people on retreat do not follow noble silence and were all chatting etc over meals which is really not good. And being allowed phones to take videos etc is also not something I would want around me when on retreat. I hope there are other ones that are better because I would like to go to one in Thailand but if they are all like this forget it.
Ask them why they forbid women from fully ordaining as nuns or why women monastics have to live subordinate to the male monastics and you’ll find they become distinctly un-peaceful.
Sadhu, sadhu, sadhu. May you be at ease and in peace. ❤ from California, USA.

i think its 10 days max and u gotta go ? no ?
It's normally 10 days max. But If you are volunteering, helping the monastery in some ways, it is possible to stay longer.
