How to Make a Bow Sander, Fast and Easy

  • Make this bow sander quick, using a piece of 2x4 and a belt sander. No glue screws or any other parts. All you need to do is make a few cuts on the tablesaw and bandsaw.

    That is great Jack, the music I make sanding will be more in tune with this bow than the bow when I try to play a violin.And everyone else will be appreciative of you for introducing your sanding bow to me.
    I just need to figure out how I am going connect my dust collector to it.

    Great shop tool and great idea, Jack! Beats the old problem of a regular sanding block making flat facets in the piece you're sanding, by wrapping slightly around the curve of the piece. Brilliant!

    The perfect thing to make for all the old sanding belts I have left from a sander that died, my new sander is a different size so I can't use them on it.

    As they say, “why did I not think of that”😹😹😹 I have been making my own sanding blocks using belts as the make for great sanding by hand after they have been on the belt sander but won’t work on it any more but you can still feel enough grit on the belts for hand sanding 😹😹😹

      I use it for sanding rounded contours, irregular surfaces, or radiused corners.
