Agree with you everything you said about the Green Bone Saga - such a solid trilogy and the characters were just so amazing.

I love that you are exploring romance and holiday stories 🤣 I never would have believed it if you told me a year ago you were heading in this direction 🤣🤣

😂That's exactly how I feel about Hallmark holiday films. Background decoration while I'm doing chores.

I feel very similarly about What Lies beyond the Veil. I continued on with the series and I've been so back and fourth about them all. Book 4 has yet to release and while I will read it, it's not one I'll be beating a path to.
I've yet to start reading the Jade Legacy, it's definitely getting bumped up on my tbr now that I've heard you talk about it.
You have such a fantastic way of describing and talking about the books you read. You and I share common reading interests so I'm always excited to hear your thoughts on books I've been wondering about.
Love your humor and your videos are great. How was the fudge? I looked so good! Merry Christmas!

Thank you!! The fudge turned out great! Do you regret continuing on with the series? I’m debating reading the second one!

@@jenniferbrooks Hmm, that's a hard one. I can't say I regret reading further with the series as there is enough entertainment to keep me reading but what I will say is that it gets...weird. It's been awhile since reading the 3rd book and I do certainly remember at the time thinking I wasn't sure if I wanted to read the 4th when it releases. I really wish it would've stayed closer to how it started as the beginning of book one had me hooked solid. For me, this series works as a palate cleanse after heavy reads, etc. They are okay but just okay if that makes sense.

I saw a book recommendation on RUclips with vampires. It’s titled Empire of the Vampires and it’s book one in a series by Jay Kristoff it has illustrations. I know you enjoy vampire books so I thought I’d mention it. Merry Christmas.🎄

The main problem with romance books/movies is that you spend a a lot of time wading through stuff that you abandon, that's so so to get the occasional one you really like. I have spent time 'yelling' at the screen, 'Too much exposition, show not tell, surely someone read this script?'. I started watching one on Amazon whereby the male lead actually said to his mother, something along the lines of, 'When Dad was alive...' clearly for the viewer as no one would ever have that conversation with their mother, she wouldn't need it explaining. 🥲 At that point I stopped watching. There's definitely a market for well written genre books and films

Yes!! I think it can work but it definitely needs to feel relevant or purposeful.
