This video was so dramatic, I had to pause it to go make popcorn in the first sixty seconds. After that, it was purely educational. I don’t regret the popcorn.
😂🤣
Thank you for the very instructive videos - I received my new DWX a few days ago, and thanks to your video, I've been able to adjust it to my ideal configuration with trigger weight and everything else. One suggestion: the section on safety disassembly was very helpful - however, since this was my first 1911-type pistol, I didn't realize there was a spring-loaded safety plunger assembly... after just 30 seconds to take apart the safety (thanks to your instructions), oiling, and reassembly, I had a Homer Simpson moment when I realized that the spring and plunger must have flown off somewhere in my cluttered room... So, $6 and 10-day wait for my replacement safety plunger assembly to arrive... Still, happy with the learning experience and your video for showing me how to work with my new DWX!!!
@@miyagi501 oh man I’m sorry. I do have a slightly more detailed version that just talks about the frame. I mention this as a possibility in that video.
Totally stoked this helped you dive in on the gun and set it up how you wanted. Thanks so much for the comments and for watching.

Love your videos man just a down to earth dude sharing his knowledge. Videos not dragged on forever. Like my DWX but it does need a trigger job. Happy turkey day.
Ahh thanks man much appreciated. happy turkey day to you!
Throw the wrench on the ground....pick it back up. 😂 Exactly how it goes for me! Nice video, just what I was looking for!
😂 thanks for watching!
Video was a life saver for switching out my trigger. Thank you!
Awesome! There are some details I glossed over here but you can do it for sure and after taking the gun down a few times it’s a breeze. Glad you got your new trigger in!
Thanks for posting the content. I just picked up the compact. RMR cut and rail.
Awesome enjoy that sounds rad!
I have a newer video on just the frames check that out for some updated info
The Rolex, Bugatti, Gucci....of the handgun world. Beautiful quality and engineering. CZ magazine compatibility. The compact is silky smooth and perfect for carry.
🤘
Thank you! that is a much better design than the two piece grip in my opinion!
Awesome! Thank you for sharing.
Yeah dude!
great video!! The DWX is really cool but it looks like the slide stop pin both unlocks and stops the movement of barrel like a CZ, so I wonder if its going to break slide stop pins like CZs.
Indeed, the slide stop pin is significantly beefed up in the DWX. Time will tell if the extra heft is enough to avoid breakage.
They made the pin much thicker. I just broke my second shadow 2 pin last week actually. Not even 3000 rounds on it. Definitely a design flaw.
Great video! May I know if this will go under Production or Standard Division? Thanks in advance!
Thank you 😊. My intention is to shoot this in USPSA in the new division called limited optics. Basically single action with optics and lots of add ons allowed but slide mounted optics and no compensator. Thanks for watching!
Great video man!! I cannot wait to get this one!!!!!!!!
Thanks! I’m loving this one I’m sure you will too 🙌
I want this bad. They combined the best things of all the old and modern pistols and made a simplistic masterpiece. I will have one. The only thing though is the compact version don’t have a pic rail. They add that on the mini and I’m using my credit card
For sure I’d really like them to add a couple more sku’s to the mix. Optics cuts for both versions and a rail for the compact would probably cover most wish lists.
Very helpful - thanks!!
Awesome 🙌
I just purchased a DWX compact and I'm having issues with the trigger not resetting. I contacted CZ but haven't heard back. What could potentially be stopping the trigger from resetting ever few shots?
Seems strange, basically the disconnector or the sear spring would be my best guess.
I would start with taking the grips off and seeing if the trigger bar moves freely.
It’s a fairly simple system for the trigger mechanism so there isn’t a lot of moving parts. I have a couple of other videos I made with more detail on the trigger and the lower frame. I’d take a look at those. You can also hit me up on Reddit I’m in the DWX sub.
I can’t get the pin out that holds the main spring. “You can get it out pretty easily.” I’m using all my force sir and no budge lol

It should be easy to get out
Checked it out, I’m unable to push it out. Using a lot of force and nothing is moving
@@devenmladenovic617 do you have a small enough punch? It is a small diameter pin. The mainspring housing is aluminum and it isn’t a pressed in pin it really should come right out without much effort. Make sure you are slightly depressing the plunger at the top of the spring. I’m sure you are but I can’t think of much else that would be the issue.
The punch im using is identical to yours. Also depressing the plunger sir. I just picked up mine not too long ago and need to swap the trigger. I don’t think the guy that owned it before ever got it past a field strip so I think it’s the first time the pin will be coming out. I’ll get it out eventually. Very carefully lol
@@devenmladenovic617 what a pain. I’d just skip it for now put a few hundred rounds through it and try again. When mine was new everything was a lot tighter than it was after a thousand rounds. If you have a soft jaw vise you could try to hold it with that and something but you really need three hands.
