So glad you're trying Parkitect ! Love that game, love the polished aspect and makes a nice spiritual successor of classic rct. Can't wait to see your amazing rct skills put into a Parkitect save !
I’ll still forever love rct2, but I won’t lie in saying I spent a significant amount of time in college playing Parkitect. There’s something about scenery placement and design that oddly gives me less stress than rct2, even if you have to take into account height clearance. Some quick tips: -Mechanics will be your best friend against vandals, they are the ones who will repair scenery. - If you see a vandal group, they’ll wear bandana’s over their face, you can actually click on them and banish them if guards are taking too long finding them (the groups can be large sometimes.) -Pathways for management (path leading to the storage depot) will affect scenery rating and guest opinions if they see them, covering them or hiding parts in buildings will negate this, same with fencing them. There’s an overlay that will show you this on the left panel. -The overlay panel is your best friend for managing a park, which is more what Parkitect concentrates on, especially in scenario play. Can’t wait to see what you do with this!
Side note: this game always reminded me more of Sim Theme Park/Sim Coaster than rct2 at times, a game series I legit kind of miss sometimes despite its jank.
You’re welcome! Always glad to give them when needed! This game has a bit of a learning curve, especially with management (staff do get tired in this game), but it’s definitely rewarding when everything runs well.
One thing to know when building foodstall. You have food stalls in a building. The guests are not allowed to see. :) one more thing the guests. don't like backstage areas. try to place with trees so as not to see the backstage.
Ah, I just finally started with Parkitect this week, and will be starting a park from scratch soon. It's such an awesome game, but far more complicated than I was guessing. Think I'll watch your whole series here before diving right into it, if you don't mind a string of comments on old videos!
Jes, that impressive what you can do, modifing the scenery size whiteout having to have customs or tile inspector, more freedom on rides (inclines being allowed in almost every way), have scenery not lock in tiles or 1/4 of them and keeping the standard RCT1/2 tile feeling sometimes.
I'm binge watch your mega park videos right now and I'm so incredibly happy that your music selection has stayed the same! It just goes so well with your videos! ❤️
I’m more of a objective oriented player but this game has stolen so much of my time with scenery it’s crazy. It’s so satisfying. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Some tips about the game - Building roads more than one tile wide is a huge mistake as it ruins the pathing for guests to wander and find new rides. When you create a plaza, it's best to use a curb fence (it's almost invisible) to divide it up so it's still only one tile wide. You can also download some assets that add decals that look like paths to create larger plazas with clear walk ways. - Decoration is supreme in the game. You want to get your rides to amazing decor as it allows you to charge way more per ride. - Knowing the excitement : price ratio is fairly important in the scenarios as they can be quite difficult. Typically you can charge $2 per 10 excitement for coasters and $1 per 10 excitement for flat rides. So excitement of 100 = $10 flat and $20 coaster. - The base food prices are way too low. You can multiply them all by 1.5x to 2x quite happily.
Multiple circuits thing should be in the gear options at the very bottom. I also recommend the coaster anarchy mod as it expands your sandbox options a ton. Only thing I wish there was is being able to build backwards but it's still semi possible to get track elements where you want them, just tedious
huge tip you can build while the game is paused. Also you rip off your guests with rides. either Excitment or Intesnity (Which ever is higher,) X2 then devided by 10 will give you the max ticket price for the ride. I can charage $15-16 for a single roller coaster when made right.
@@Deurklink Just important to know about as sometimes you can start bleeding money incredibly quickly and you need to do some major reconstruction to fix it. It's especially important when modifying pathing as whilst paused the guest's AI is paused and they stay in the air, so you can replace a bridge for instance without them all drowning.
Also while RCT (And OPEN RCT2) definitely are good games/mods. I do think Parkitect really managed to create a modern game that helps fix the problems of the former. And while I understand your channel will always circle around RCT2, I do think giving this game a spot will def help you grow. just my 2 cents. :)
I have some nice blueprints in the workshop if you ever need inspiration. Cheers, from Djwessie from your Discord. (Also Djwessie in the steam workshop.)
Finally you are picking up Parkitect! I am so glad that this spiritual successor for RCT 2 came to be, and I love the game. P.S. did you know it is made by a Dutch studio?
Would this coaster be too short to realistically have a block before the station and run 2 trains? Would a kids coaster have a friction break before the station otherwise?
Consider getting some ride mods. Parkitect has a really good RMC mod for example. Also Construction Anarchy lets you do way more with pieces the game provides you, kinda like openrct2 cheats fuel NCSO style.
I honestly really dislike the camera mod for parkitect, I think it ruins the charm of the game. It's really obvious sometimes this game is made with the isometric view in mind. But ofcourse that's only my opinion
Haha it's the first mod I downloaded because I wanted to be able to see more of the buildings and the interiors. But I can see why some people might not like it!
@@Deurklink yeah I understand that, when I started playing I did that too. But after some playing I realized that by doing that, it just feels like a cheaper planet coaster/rct3. The biggest charm of parkitect for me is that it is kinda a "modern version of rct1/2".

11:33: I love how the mechanic repairs the toppled bench by smashing his wrench into it a couple of times.
Plot twist: the mechanics are the vandals
I'm ready to see what you can do.

YES I WAS WAITING FOR ONE OF THE RCT2 MONSTERS TO PLAY THIS AND YOU POST THIS AFTER CLASS ACTION PARK?
What a legend

I'm excited to see what you can do with this game. I have no experience with it, so i'll learn by watching you!
never been more excited to see deurklink play something that's not openrct2~ really excited about this series!
Just like with RCT3, it'll be fun to see that skill and creative insight put to use in another engine!
Here's to another good one!
I'm binge watch your mega park videos right now and I'm so incredibly happy that your music selection has stayed the same! It just goes so well with your videos! ❤️
15:59: Yeah, better not make your girlfriend a scarecrow, unless you want to sleep on the couch tonight.
Very excited for this series!
I watch all your lets play videos. Can’t wait for this series as well!!

Yes!! So glad to see deurklink finally tackle parkitect
Bro its great that you play new games, you're becoming more good on this tipe of content
I find if you hold right mouse on the ride cam it looks better locked than with the interpolation
Big tip: use corkscrew element to do overbanked turns by modifying the train angle/degree
I have been waiting for this moment. I'm so excited!

Thanks for the tips! In this park I mostly just care about it looking nice though.. And the guests seem to be doing fine for now!

I still have yet to try this game, but it really looks good!
Excitement level: 🔥🔥🔥 🤩
HE FINALLY DID IT!

fuck yea!
WoW! This game looks amazing :O
No because imagine he play all the theme park games from open roller coaster tycoon, parkitect, planet coaster and nolimits 2 :O
11:35 Mechanic repaired the bench
Ahh right!
Would this coaster be too short to realistically have a block before the station and run 2 trains? Would a kids coaster have a friction break before the station otherwise?
I heard this game is intended to be a RCT2 spiritual sucessor?

I first want to get the hang of the vanilla game before I start building with mods
I really like your station for this coaster! Did you miss a window on the left side of the building?
I'm planning to build a shop in front of the building, so no window is necessary there :)
Man, they really went a bit too far visually with the latest OpenRCT2 update.
Damn bro, your gf only makes $14 a month?! You're a tough boss! 😂
Must be why she looks so sad and tired ;)
Been a while since I last played Parkitect but I preferred playing OpenRCT2 and Planet Coaster but Parkitect is still nice.

ik ruik nederlandss
I thin OpenRCT2 is way better than this. Since the last update there is no Ride/Scenery Limit anymore so you can really go nuts with the Parks.
Am I the only one who doesn't like the look of the peeps? Everything else about this game looks great, though!
Haha I don't know, I quite like the style of the peeps :)
Ew Parkitect, I would never play a game like that
why
@@rechtebanana I hate that game, no one plays it for a reason
Lol - what's the reason? You'd be surprised what is capable now.
@@randomguy1017 I wouldn't say no one plays it, Parkitect has around the same amount of active players as the rct games on steam.
