She left the party for the ancient city and said she'll see Cloud later and I kept thinking, "This isn't it. This isn't it." I kept saying that to myself over and over and then it happened. Too bad you missed out on playing this game with the Echo-S mod that was released earlier this year. They spent over 6 years doing a full VO of the OG and it's actually really fantastic. Even for a 1997 old fart FF7 fan, it made replaying my favorite game of all time exciting again.
@@Sebbywebz Nice, what is great about the fan mod community after all these years is that FF7 fans have so many options to enjoy this game as they see fit. I just wanted to point out the best version of my favorite game I've experienced, and hopefully any newcomers who think a game from 1997 is too old/boring to play, the mods make it relevant in 2023!
However I still had Cloud Barret Cid lv 45 with 5000 to 6000 HP 500 to 600 MP before she dies BUT I had Cloud Barret Cid at lv 55 with 9999 HP 999 MP each BEFORE fighting the first disc 2 BOSS.
Of course! Bad graphics allowed for storylines back then. FF2, FF3 (USA), FF7, FF Tactics. Somewhere the storytelling got lost in the graphics, but this game cannot be topped. @@Sebbywebz
It got all of us and it got us good but it’s now a memory that an entire generation can share and is engraved in our minds forever and that’s beautiful
As is often the case with Final Fantasy its the music that really does a number on me. I'm ok until Uematsu brings the theme in the moment the white materia hits the floor. I don't think anyone who played this as a kid will forget when they first played through this moment though. At this point in time, games simply didn't do this. Killing off a main character was just not done. And though FF4 was really the first game I can think of that did it. Due to this being in a FMV, it was made so much worse. That is why it is (deservedly) one of the most iconic scenes in Video Game history.
Yeah the entire sequence is so brilliantly executed and carefully thought out. And it wasn’t until The Last of Us 1 in 2013 that I thought a game had another moment like this. Thanks for watching 🙏
@@godfreycadogan2913 at this point idk what they’re gonna do lol. Tbh I would’ve preferred a more classic remake, like RE2/4 or Demon Souls. The original story as is was fine and enough for me
How can i not forget? i was 8 years old, had just moved house after my parents split and my brother bought a PS1 when it was brand new, i would sit watching him play games from resident evil, metal gear solid to tekken. it's only when i first saw FF7 i was absorbed into it. one day he calls me into his room and said i have to watch something, low and behold this sadistic fuck purposely called me into his room to Witness Aeriths death. he reloaded the save point spacifically to horrify me. a character died in a video game?? but how? it felt real. i didn't understand it, but i understood the goal, he used me as a weekend mule to grind all the way to lvl99 outside Mideel, not down north crater and i did it. i never saw him finish the game because he was too absorbed into his car and modifying it (lets not forget late 90's is where the car scene started to bloom into something before Fast and the furious made it a franchise hobby) But to this very day, almost 26 years later i'm now doing my 26th Consecutive full play through, this time with mods to make a difference. i still have HIS FF7 OG mint condition black label kept up safe as sound like my very own prized possession. this game didn't only break my damn heart but it taught me what emotions and feelings were, if it wasn't for this game i would have never become who i am today. that may sound crazy to some but what you said is correct, back then things were different. im not ready for FF7 Rebirth seriously...this scene alone never did i imagine could potentially get remade. Oh and as for school? this game is the core reason to why i made the friends i made also. oh and i shafted everyone at school £1 each for Vincents safe code ;)
I remember the shock&sadness I get. When I was little, I love Aerith since the first time I saw her in the opening scene. And I always put her in my party, with Tifa too. So I'm surrounded by 2 strong beautiful ladies. (Yeaaah! 😂) I reached high level because I use them a lot for grinding. And then, BAM! Sephiroth ruined everything. And the rest of my party (except Cloud Aerith Tifa) are still weak cause I don't level them up that much. I haaaaaaaaate that so much. Eversince then, I swear, I hate Sephiroth so bad I want to punch him in the face. If anything, I want the ff7 remake last trilogy to put down Sephiroth for good. He's just the worst, man. He's the reason why Cloud can't be with Aerith. And also one of the reasons why Cloud and Tifa can't have a nice relationship in Advent Children. He keeps bugging Cloud and prevents him to have a nice life and triggers Clouds PTSD every now and then. Arghhh I hate Sephiroth!!

It feels less like an embrace, and more like her crying on the shoulder of someone she can depend on. Tifa running off to deal with it herself feels in character too, since she’s still trying to figure out Cloud at this point.
We all know this isn’t gonna happen in Remake XD Zack’s gonna intercept at the last second, save Aeris, then high five Cloud to 80’s boomer music 🤣 Thanks for watching
are you the voice actor for the remake, you are so good
No, I’m just some streamer gronk who loves the OG 🤣 Thanks for enjoying
Man, this guy is a profesional!
Thank you! The scene means a lot to me 🙏
Too bad you missed out on playing this game with the Echo-S mod that was released earlier this year. They spent over 6 years doing a full VO of the OG and it's actually really fantastic. Even for a 1997 old fart FF7 fan, it made replaying my favorite game of all time exciting again.
I respect what they did. But I’m such an egomaniac I’d rather VA it myself 😆 Thanks for watching 🙏
OMG the Bambi line was soooooooo perfect!
Thank you!
Of course! Bad graphics allowed for storylines back then. FF2, FF3 (USA), FF7, FF Tactics. Somewhere the storytelling got lost in the graphics, but this game cannot be topped. @@Sebbywebz
The moment this video came and I saw his face he know what he got himself into and he knew what was coming
This nuked me as an 11 year old lol
It got all of us and it got us good but it’s now a memory that an entire generation can share and is engraved in our minds forever and that’s beautiful
Do you have an FF7 Remake content? I would watch ALL of it.
I streamed it 2 years ago to like 7 ppl 😆 I might do it again when Rebirth comes out
@@Sebbywebz please do and let us know ahead of time!
Saddest scene in video game history.
Nothing else hit like it since
As is often the case with Final Fantasy its the music that really does a number on me.
This scene in 4k is going to destroy me
Dw Zack’s gonna save her at the last min in Remake ☝️🤓
@@Sebbywebz I’m praying bro
Wait 'till you play the Echo-S7 mod. Makes the scene a bit harder hitting.
I’m sure it’s good, but I’m too much of a narcissist to watch others VA a scene that I want to do myself XD
@@Sebbywebz ... Besides the fact that narcissists have no self awareness, you voice act?
Actually Vincent did ballet for me, kicked Cloud in his ?;&“?!: and moved away.
I went from crying into laughing
If they let her live i ask for a refund. Don't touch my child memories omg
You know Zack’s gonna tackle Sephiroth mid-fall then high five Cloud 😆
@@Sebbywebz Dude that's so trustable
I knew she was going to die cause my strategy guide spoiled it for me.
Wtf looool
Oi cheer up IM WOKIN HEE' 😭😭😭
IM WALKIN ERE
I remember the shock&sadness I get. When I was little, I love Aerith since the first time I saw her in the opening scene. And I always put her in my party, with Tifa too.
So I'm surrounded by 2 strong beautiful ladies. (Yeaaah! 😂)
I reached high level because I use them a lot for grinding.
Arghhh
I hate Sephiroth!!
