Going Back to Work (Video Update) April, 2024

- Hello everyone...I am just making my normal update video before I go back to my next ship job. This time I will find myself on the Maersk Denver and I need to fly to the ship in Spain. I will be posting shorts as I make my voyage and when home the video I make while working so come back and please subscribe if you already haven't. See ya soon and I will update about the shipping changes due to issues in the area.

Hopefully the Suez canal will remain opened.
On Marine Traffic map I see there are a lot of ships travelling the red sea so the crisis should be close to be resolved.

I just made one yesterday while I was fixing an air-driven motor I will be making more videos and when I get off the ship I will be able to post them, but in the meantime I will be able to post short videos while I am out here.
i got off the maersk pittsburgh in april, we were rerouted around africa. we were just drifting in the red sea for couple weeks when the houthis began attacking

Yes James I will make some video and talk about the changes in the run because of the Red Sea and things like that
Most of the ships are going via Capetown South Africa to avoid the area around Yemen and Saudi Arabia because the ship which was overtaken by the Houtis was a Maresk ship I believe. Either way, this whole mess will make your trip interesting to see the way south waters off South Africa.
Yes I was just on a ship last year that went around South Africa and I stopped in Durban South Africa I don't know if you remember those videos that I made

Yes, We just sailed under South Africa going the long way ....
Why do you generally prefer to work mostly with container ships?
I like because I can get the jobs where I ship out of and don't have to fly anywhere, and also I am just used to it.....😎🐳🌊⚓️🚢🐋
Maersk covers your flight? and the return is also to spain or to Norfolk?
Anytime you have to fly to a job yes they pay for everything and when I get off I will be back in USA I don't have to fly, but if it is a different state of course they will fly me to the port where I got the job.
When I get to Spain they will put me in a hotel overnight until the next day when the ship gets there
Do you have a video of how u got on at maersk?
No because we really don't apply and get hired by the company we work for unions and we get the jobs through the Union...🚢😎🌊⚓️

Absolutely Mike and I will have some short video as soon as possible after I get to the ship I think we will probably go around Africa and not through the Suez Canal but I will let you guys know
@@JeffOnboard With things the way they are over there , I’m sure they try to avoid any issues and I hear that it’s slow going with the canal , and they changed the rates for the big container ships , after all it’s always about the money !

I was in Norfolk about a month or so ago getting a 5g hotspot router from someone who listed it on Facebook marketplace
Awesome I had one before but I turned it back in because I no longer needed it and it worked amazing
