Love exploring new water. Great video. What you really need is a float on that shiny iPhone! Any preference on sunglasses? The glare and heat has been brutal on my Walmart sunnies.
Lol, how I haven’t lost my phone while snakehead fishing is beyond me. If money is no object, Costas are great polarized glasses. I tend not to buy them any more though, because I inevitably lose or break them. I know myself too well 😏
From the midwest and curious, do snakehead fight similar to bowfin or are there some differences? Many people here hate bowfin but I never will complain about how fun they are to catch.
I caught bowfin when I was stationed down in Georgia. Bowfin pull harder, but snakehead fight much more erratic and unpredictably. They jump more, death roll like crocodiles, and once out of the water, are the biggest handful to handle that I’ve ever found with any fish.
@@KambotroutFishing Thanks! I was so close to being stationed at Wallops Island right now. Then I'd be fishing for the snakehead too! Thanks for the great videos man
I’ll sometimes let it fall for a few feet, but usually not to the bottom. Depends on the bottom structure/substrate. Some types will wreck the spinnerbait with debris. In this area, I was fishing about 2-4 feet. I’ll usually let it fall a foot or two on the deeper end or that range. Good question.
These grips are made by Addiction Baits. Really been enjoying them so far. You can get them at the link below or in local tackle shops like Edgemere Bait and Tackle. addictionbaits.com
Yessir. I also like to let my buzzbait drop at the end of my retrieve right next to the kayak. I’ve caught a good number of snakehead I didn’t even know were following by doing that.
You always help people, it willl come back to you as a blessing.
Great info!
Amazing how the one good fish makes the day all good

I think if I lose any of my $150+ gear, bogos, rod and reel, costa sunglasses, or an iPhone I might seriously consider giving up fishing. Hah.
Nice video bro!👊
Thanks brother!
Solid tips
Thanks bro 👊

When do you start reeling in the spinner bait? do you let it hit the bottom?

Thanks brother and will do 👍
Better put a float on the jaw cranks. Don't want them going overboard.
💯 I was all the way wrong for not having one tied on
