Great to see this old kit getting some love, beautiful design and easily in my top 5 favourite Gundams! Would love to see a comparison with the new version! :D
I know I'm extremely late but I was watching this and this is my first Gundam so I didn't realize that I could pop the pilot out but mine doesn't seem to want to come out is there something I have to do specifically or should it just pop out
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think MG Wing gundam proto zero represents EW story, and in the ew story Quatre redesigned, modified, rebuilt it making ithe Wing gundam zero "CUSTOM", this kit..
Not sure about the decals more builders preference. I must suggest molotow liquid chrome to highlight the lining on the darker parts I've done it with a few of mine and man they look sweet with that metallic highlight
I know what you mean. I use that all of the time and clear paint on the clear parts to make it look like it was casted in that color that I painted it in. I'll put the Molotow behind the clear parts and the light will reflect off of it and give a nice glow through the clear parts.
@@willisjackson7029 we are on the same page I do the same thing with the clear parts. Just did that technique to my hg jesta made that eye cam section really pop
@@nightmare69metalmatt52 I even put the Molotow on the pistons and some copper or gold to make the robotics stand out and other mechanical details on the inner frame. I've been working on the MG Gouf Custom recently and it's been a fun project with all the mechanical details to detail.
I use only the dry decals and some of the peel stickers that looks cool to me like the "XXXG00W0" markings plus water slide decals from third party. The small sizes peel stickers are horrible especially when you put them on the blue color surfaces. I don't follow the instruction book for the decals, I put on the peel stickers on the white color surfaces. For the blue, I use water slide decals, tidier I think.
This MG is most often called XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero Custom as this is before the 'EW' naming was used and it's not a Ver.Ka release; even though the design itself is done by Katoki-san. With the release of the MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero EW "Ver.Ka", one can hope/presume we will get (most likely as a P-Bandai): - MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam EW "Ver.Ka" - MG XXXG-00YSW Wing Gundam Snow White Prelude - MG XXXG-00W0R Wing Gundam Zero Rebellion - MG Drei Zwerg 'Expansion Set' In terms of previous related releases, they include: MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam "Ver.Ka" 2004 March ¥3,500 MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero Custom 2004 October ¥3,800 MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam (TV) 2010 April ¥4,000 MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam EW 2011 March ¥3,500 MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Proto Zero EW 2013 October ¥4,800 MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero EW & Drei Zwerg [Special Coating] 2018 January ¥10,000 0:57 Actually XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Proto Zero EW is the version that was eventually made into the XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero Custom EW. 1:13 Fun fact ... The wings are taken from OZ-00MS Tallgeese Flugel EW. 5:04 Correct. This is a left over gimmick from the MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam "Ver.Ka". 5:10 This version is from the movie/OVA so there is no Bird Mode/Neo Bird Mode. However, the version from the manga which is the one coming out soon (MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero EW "Ver.Ka") ... That has the transformation as well as the shield among other added details. 5:59 A design oversight... 6:05 These rubbery, individual feather parts are extremely prone to falling off. 6:49 This part tends to flop open by itself after getting very loose. 8:31 This pose is difficult to do since the Twin Buster Rifle handle and the hands are the old style without any pegs or finger swapping. Basically you need to use the small space in the chest to latch the end of the Twin Buster Rifle to support & hold it. Otherwise they're not really held in place. 10:00 White plastic? That's a clear piece. 10:40 I wouldn't say that this aged well at all. If you're a fan of the XXXG-01W Wing Gundam and XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero, as of now, the best kits are: MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam (TV) MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Proto Zero EW All of the others are based on the original 2004 released, MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam "Ver.Ka". I looove this design. The angelic wings are MAJESTIC.

Not gonna lie surprised that a kit that old holds up so nicely
The larger decals are much easier to use compared to the smaller one, overall the kit is very nice and looks great once posed

The great wings and pose-ability make this kit. It will be interesting to see how the new Ver Ka compares.

curious to see how the new MG ver.KA compares to this
This kit is really good
This is a must get if your kinda broke for a ver ka lol

Does this come with a lot panel lining ?
Hi! Bandai kits don't usually come preprinted, so you'd need to handle the panel lining yourself.

I'm so dumb, I placed the circular chest sticker above the clear plastic dome lol, and also my kit also has a loose face, fixed it with a little glue
for a beginner should i get this or the ver ka. ?
