  • The next section of our MG Viewer Choice Build is the arms and hands, and we at GunplaTV want to show you a very well-known modification that is simple to do; separating the fingers. For many this is the first 'modification' attempted when just starting out in the wide world of Gundam plastic modeling and for good reason. It's easy to do and provides good results. But remember, these parts are small so be careful.

    Hi Syd, Just begun to watch your vids. They are so helpful and it’s nice to see the Gunpla community reflected in them. I am fairly new to Gundam, I saw GD wing as a teenager when it first aired here in the UK, (I’m 26 now) at the time I had 2 (I guess HG) kits from Toys ‘R’ Us. I’m a Transformers collector and whilst searching some online Japanese retailers I saw some Gunpla and decided to have a go. Since then I came across these vids whilst looking for tips. Looks great, cant wait to start!

    Thanks for the info! That's excellent news, I've decided to watch some of the anime so I can decide more about what models I'd like to build. I watched the original series about a year ago, but I've forgotten a lot about it. From the HLJ Gunpla TV videos, I am loving the RG kits, I love realism when it comes to models and figures. I may have to try a MG kit in the future, although I prefer smaller when it comes to this kind of thing.

    When I was a beginner like my first 3 or 4 sets in I built the 3.0 and I have to say it was one of the harder ones to build. It was fun but for sure a little bit harder

    I am obviously not HLJ but i can help to answer your questions. Gundam model kits are still being developed and Sunrise which is the company responsible for creating Gundams are still releasing new shows. The recently finished one is Gundam Age and there are plans on a new series which is scheduled to release either at end of the year or next year. As for the difference between Master grade and real grades, Master grades are 1/100 scale models while real grades are 1/144 scale.

    Both the Real Grade and Master Grade have an inner skeleton however the real grades have a half pre-assembled inner skeleton while the master grade does not have a pre-assembled inner frame.On top of that, Master grades comes with dry transfer decal while the real grade only comes with a clear stickers. Also the real grades have better details than the master grades as the real grades are meant to look as realistic as possible while the master grade is meant to look anime accurate.Hope this help

    That's good to hear, I am going to watch them all, I am trying to pick up as much hints and tips as possible. I think I'm already addicted, so much so that even before receiving my first kits in the post, I've ordered a couple more from you guys (1 RG kit and 1 HG kit). Can I ask, I have received an email from HLJ that they have received my payment, and the goods were in stock marked for dispatch asap. How long does it take for you to dispatch them, and will I receive an email to confirm this?

    I see the videos have been up for a few years, how is the Gunpla industry at the moment? Is it still going strong and are new kits being developed? Or am I getting into this too late at all? I don’t know much about the gundam anime, so I don’t know if they are still creating new shows. I can’t work out what the difference between the grades are. Can I ask, what the difference between the master grade and the real grades are in particular? Thanks, I look forward to using Hobby Link in the future.

    i like how he says decal

  • @swalstar
    @swalstar 11 лет назад

    Can I ask you about decal vs stickers? What do you prefer? and what are the pros and cons to both? I watched a Gunpla TV video about Mr. Mark Softner and Mr. Mark Setter, can I ask what these are? and when would I use them? I have 2 RG kits coming in the post and don't want to mess them up and the details the stickers/decals provide is what drew me to them.
