Josh is and has been one of the tightest guitarists for over a decade. Extremely underated as a band Sylosis are hard as hell. And is a challenge for any guitarist to play.
Sylosis is so freaking great! Monumental colossal riffs and amazing tones. Josh is truly a guitar master. Fretboard looks smooth and polished which I like.
I'm stoked that ESP is stepping up the LTD line with SS frets. My sn1000 is a joy to play and I have a Mh-1000 in snow white on pre-order released the same time as the JM--II. Should be here in a month.
We need lefty version of this please. It's pretty much the only guitar I could pick over an E-ll. It is the perfect hybrid between a Horizon and M series
@@shanewoodman It's not that way, bro Because this beauty has the bridge of a Horizon (Tom) with traditional ferrules, but improved since it is recessed, which prevents the headstock from having a very steep angle, and gives it a feel more like hipshot. It also uses the 3 toggle swtich of a horizon, for pickup selection, but located in a better place in the middle of the volume and tone knobs. It also has stainless steel frets which neither m-ll or Horizon in the E-ll series has, and is a higher priced line of Japanese guitars. The shape of the body and reverse headstock are from the m-ll, so that's why I say that it is a hybrid of both models, with the accessories very well chosen and put in the right place. I would only change one thing to make it perfect: * That the headstock matching finish to the body, and not just that ugly flat black color. But I think it's the best release this year. Too bad they don't have lefty version

I have this guitar and it is absolutely amazing. The range of available tones is astounding, although most players will use it for metal ofcourse. But the Fishman pickups are incredibly versatile, from clean jazz to rock to metal, I didn't expect this. I'm now contemplating if I actually still need all the guitars I own...hmmmm....

I own one of those: quick honest review… this guitar is boatloads of fun but has some significant issues. 1. neck is 14“ radius, Tune o Matic Bridge has a 12“ radius. If you like your action on the lower side your 1,2,5 and 6 string will tend to sound like Lars Ulrich‘s Snare. 2. The newer Versions have a different color wich is less brown burst and more Diarrhea Burst (no for real it’s dark brown with a bit eggplant) 3. balance is ok, not great If you can live with that, this is a brutal but lovely sounding guitar with a dream of a roasted maple neck
I think you just need to do a video, series of videos, or a stream where you talk about every amp you own. You could tell stories about your experience with that amp or amp model, how you got it, why you like it, what you use it for. Might be fun to just talk about amps and I certainly like amp-focused videos. I'd even like to see a return of Amp Wars and put some of your newer amps against each other and against your older amps. I'm only saying this as the amp wall has been really catching my eye in these types of demo videos.
I dig the guitar, but it’s spec’d pretty standard. I imagine if this wasn’t a signature model, it’d run about $250 cheaper. Same thing with the Steph Carpenter models.
Same until I tried Fishman moderns. I think that is how the story goes for most people. EMGs were cool for a second, then SD started making better sounding passive pickups for metal, then Fishman Fluence moderns came out..

I don't have a lot of Esp or LTD instrument dealers in my area so trying before buying is kind of impossible. I'm a bass player who want only ONE electric guitar (ok maybe 2) maybe I'll check their website . LTD also has a 8 string bass that I'd like I've never seen this bass anywhere .
There are a couple different spots right before the five minute mark where are you are playing and there is no audio. I think something happened. Or is it just me?
I would say that LTD has guitars with better specs than this signature model. Don't take me wrong but in that price I would like to see a neck through design and better bridge than this tune-o-matic style which I personally don't like because of the sounds which those short parts of strings make when muting the guitar. So you have to use some foam to make it silent when tracking guitars.
Well actually.........if you watch the videos from Josh himself about the guitar he talks about exactly this. He specifically wanted a bolt-on for the snappier brighter sound, a recessed tune o matic bridge because he likes the sound more (and prefers resting his hand on a tune o matic, which I do too) and he made those changes precisely because he is a producer and is obsessed with sound and wanted NO overtones. Also, this is a Korean made guitar instead of Indonesian (which are most other LTD's just below this price, like the H-1001) and I must say.....it is finished better than the Indonesian guitars ( although they are nice too).
I have an ESP MII with that heel as well as a neck thru Horizon and honestly the upper fret access is very close, it might even surprisingly be a tiny bit better on the MII because the neck gets thicker in the higher frets on the Horizon to reach the full thickness of the body.
Yes you will. Sell whatever guitars you have now and get one. Sell your other stuff to get it. Or just save for it little bit by little bit. I'm unbelievably poor. I'm a live/touring musician and I do studio work here and there. Last year I didnt even make 10 grand. But I managed to save 20 bucks here and there, sold my strat and got a brand new esp black metal m-ht. Best thing I've ever done. Best guitar I've owned by far. And I've owned a lot lol. Dont be discouraged man! Just do it slow and be positive. You will only make things harder on yourself if you think you'll "NEVER" be able to do something.

They should ditch regular tune-o-matics completely for Hipshot bridges and recessed tune-o-matics, the standard ones are hands down the most uncomfortable bridges on the market, your hand sits so fucking high above the body of the guitar.
I own a ESP/LTD black metal m-ht, played in it all my videos since I got it. That esp is the best guitar Ive ever gotten brand new. Everything is perfect. Feel and aesthetics. They make unbelievably good guitars. My brother is endorsed by them so I wasnt sure if he was kind of just being bias when he was saying how their all pretty much on the same level. The reviews suggest the same. So I had him use his 40% discount and got that bitch. Best purchase I've made in years. And I own a lot of nice guitars. Very impressed by esp/ltd.
2021 and we still doing pickup rings lol I think because this guitar is kind of dark anyway they blend in and don't bother me until I focus on them lol
That is exactly what I thought since I've seen the release of this guitar... because I cannot stand pickup rings... but these do not bother me because the body is so dark. And it also helps that it has barely any metal at the bridge
Pickup rings makes swapping pickups so much easier tho. The amount of guitars I’ve had where I couldn’t change the pickups easily since they were direct mount is insane. So I’m on team mounting rings.
I'd love to see people use proper grammar and talk like they actually have some kind of education instead of trying to sound like something they're not. Oh, and in 2022, of course. 🤦
I must say, I don't like the fluence. I played both Pickups, but the Emg Hetset oder the 57/66 Set sounds more aggressiv and gives more deep as the fluence.

$1299 .. dang.. Can’t you get a Kiesel Delos for like $1400? .. sure it’s got a pick guard and not a quilt cap. But.. bolt-on, slim neck and stainless steels 🤷🏼. Don’t get me wrong.. this is a REALLY awesome guitar. I just think $999 is more realistic for a mass produced Korean machine. Or is a US made Kiesel too cheap?

I've read comments where people say they'd never even pay for a bolt-on guitar, but I understand that everyone has their personal preferences.

Get the LTD MH-200QM. I just bought one last month and it shreds for a little over half the price! Has a TOM bridge but just get it setup and she is lightening quick! I recently posted a couple videos of me playing it so that should get you an idea of how she looks & sounds.
You're paying for way more than wood. You're paying for the wages of the multiple hands who built the guitar. You're paying for the materials used. You're paying for the pickups and other hardware. Seems like everyone wants some kind of steak dinner for the price of a Big Mac these days.
Correction: Josh’s riffs are fucking awesome in Sylosis only. In Architects, he doesn‘t even try to write any good riffs. He just leaves everything to Dan (drummer) to write and arrange. New album fucking sucks big time...coming from a year long fan!

A standard TOM works just fine for me, especially on an Eclipse. I prefer it way more than a fixed bridge, but I'll play those, too.

Signature models always seem to be a couple of hundred more than they should but this one is spec'd out nicely.
Don't forget that with the LTD signatures you also get an ESP hard shell case so that adds some money onto the price I'm sure.
