Wait so the hum eliminator is used sometimes in addition to the boss noise gate? Or is the hum eliminator being used as a noise gate just for the FX loop? Anyone ??? Josh? Lol
The hum eliminator can reduce or remove electrical hum from the actual power grid used at a venue. I had to use something similar at my old apartment where the AC unit was tied into the same power line as my room's wall power outlets. When the AC unit was on, the amp would have a loud hum that would go away if the AC unit was off. Some power conditioners like the Furman PL Plus or elite series that have power filtering can give the same results of "cleaning" the noise from the power signal.
Josh, I have my guitar going straight into the input of the Boss NS2 and then straight from the output into the amp. I still get the nasty high pitched feedback when I'm not strumming. What could be the problem?
+Josh Sylosis Hi Josh, I run into the same feedback problem with the Boss NS2 and my Marshall JVM 210. Any suggestions for controlling this based on your experience with JVMs? I also recently bought a ISP Decimator G string. Thanks for any guidance here and all the great music.
+Jim Ransom I'm pretty sure Josh was right about the pickups. I had the problem when I was using my Dean Razorback but now I used and LTD H351NT with EMG pups and I get no feedback even without the pedal.
+Sam Aranda Ok thanks Sam, I am using a Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro but with stock pups. I'll have to look into the EMG 57/66 set that Josh seems to favor, thanks again
