Tom is one of the good ones. He is one of the few credits to Hollywood.
I love Tom Berenger as an actor, my favourite film is 'Last of the dogmen', with Tom and Barbara Hershey, love the Indians, they have always facinated me and I feel so sorry for what the Americans did to them, They deserved much better and should have been treated with respect and awe, Dont see much of Tom now and thats a shame but as hes getting on its not surprising hes not on screen as much, lots of love Tom, and all the best from Scotland.x Anne.

This guy I always thought was kind of like Rutger Hauer, I've seen him in things where he was brilliant...but it just seemed like he didn't get a fair shake for more prominent roles in Hollywood. Also found it interesting that Larry seemed to let him talk a bit more than most guests, normally he'd cut them off for a new question.
Tom has done a lot in his career something like close to 85 movies, and 15 tv roles. he's won a golden globe for his work in platoon and was nominated for an oscar that year, he was nominated for an emmy for his role in cheers and nominated and won an emmy for his role in Hatfields & McCoys. Not to shabby of a career so far. He has always been outstanding in lead roles, but he really does well in those weird supporting character type roles.
Funny I was just coming from a Rutger Hauer interview with Letterman. My two favorite actors, Rutger and Berenger. Possibly because we're all German-Americans.

I'm really not being mean spirited or making fun of him at all. He actually looks like Mickey Rourke now. They now both look like they could really be related.
It's always baffled me why he didn't have a more prominent career on film. An incredible actor. I wonder if he was difficult to work with and got a bad reputation.
He's probably conservative. Hollywood is very liberal and will blackball you based on political views, unfortunately.
